I was merely saying that, judging by its title of 'The Average American Male' it would probably relate much more to americans than other nations and I for one can't relate to it. the book doesn't suck - it's a truthful snapshot of a young man's life. it is funny, brutal and above all, genius. The main character obviously has other thoughts and emotions, but the book focuses on those thoughts we never admit to. The people who detest it the most are the people with most to lose, maybe? I admit, I think dark and hideous things from time to time. Not all the time, but at least two to three times a day.

The videos for this are funny. The book is HORRIBLE. I can't emphasize that enough. If you want a book that matches up with these videos, read GOD IS A WOMAN: DATING DISASTERS and I HOPE THEY SERVE BEER IN HELL. Period. This is just clever marketing for crap. The book doesn't deliver on the videos.

That's the problem. Nothing. The main guy, who doesn't have a name because it supposedly could be any guy, just walks around cursing in his head constantly, bitter, thinking things guys don't think. It's one long, annoying dick joke that's supposed to be artsy, which is contradictive. An artsy guy's book? There's no real story, plot, etc.

Nothing, that's the problem. It's one long dick joke w/a main character who doesn't even have a name, because it could be any guy; ooh, artsy. A book for guys that's artsy? A little contradictive. There's no real plot, no character development, he just thinks a bunch of things guys don't think and the constant cursing is supposed to be the punchline the whole book. No wit, just cursing.
