This movie was brilliant! My wife wasn't real big on it, then at the end she didn't want them dying. And I was like isn't it funny how they get you attached to the 'bad guys', by showing family bonds amongst the rejects, like the tooty fruity ice cream scene etc.

After watching it at least 5 or 6 times with me now, she says she doesn't like it, but it's a really good movie, and she loves the soundtrack. It's a different kind of scary to her "it's too real".

I thought he chose some really great music, and this song fit the mood and tone of the opening scene perfectly. The beginning of this movie was stellar and the opening credits scenes with the song was so powerful...but the film began to lose its luster about midway. Enjoyably brutal and amusingly cheesy...I would expect nothing more or less from Rob Zombie. At least you know what you're in for when you watch one of his movies, as it's a quality lacking in cinema these days.

Hey shadowkid1993 your an idiot. If you didn't notice, The Devil's Rejects was more of a realistic take on the characters from House of a 1000 Corpses. Also if you'd payed attention in House, Zombie pretty much fed every single horror movie stereotype. Gore, Comedy ect... I think both movies are great for completely opposite reasons. Anyway's you are probably like some dumb acne ridden teenager that obviously know's nothing about the genre. Go back to school kid.

I liked House of 1000 corpses too. Both are good movies but they are different. One thing that is better in House is the fact that Karen Black was Mama Firefly she didn't come back for the Devil's Rejects so ZOmbie had to get Leslie Easterbrook and she is a piss poor actor. She overacts so badly and Sherri Moon is a rotten actor too so their parts in the movie are pretty bad. But Bill Moseley as Otis saves the day he reminds me so much of Charlie Manson! He makes this movie worthwhile.

It's definetly a horror flick, following the lives of a family of Manson-like psychos, minus the religious and political agendas. It gives us a glimpse into real horror-no masks(aside from those made from paint or human flesh), no chainsaws and no omnipresent ghouls, just delusional, sociopathic fucks bred of bad parenting (see the official website for back history on the Firefly family). This movie was more of a horror than any slasher film because it very well could have been a documentary.
