Sorry about the comment that ozilopez posted, but I totally disagreed with it. Sertab Erener's song was great, but Arabic influenced songs are not a Turkish patent only. Mostly when Arabic sounds has been enjoining us for centuries all over the Mediterranean countries, including Spain. Soraya's song is great, it has a sound very familiar to Spanish people, so if you Turkish people, think this is a Turkish sound, then maybe you don't know a thing about the origins of your own music and folklore.

Soraya's song is great..it has nothing to do with the Greek version Sofia doesn't have such a powerful voice as Soraya. Ahhh!!!! Lo siento yo pense que cantaban las dos en uno de estos remix... como Soraya siempre esta interpretando con otras cantantes..!! It seems to be a fact that the first intention of that greek author was to enter ESC, considering the duration of the song exactly 3 minutes and that catchy oriental rythm far appreciated in Europe, probably offering the song to Greece but it could have been refused. In Spain, after the recommendations of some spanish fans of ESc it was set in the net (my space) competing legally. Soraya's version is the original version, the rest are just demos.

The thing with Greek and Spanish from Spain is that the pronunciation is almost identical. I'm a Greek native speaker and I speak Spanish with a perfect Spanish accent. Could this actually be the demo-version sung by Soraya? A Spaniard could easily pronunce Greek as perfect as a Greek, actually.

With that said. Spanish and Greek language has no resemblence to each other linguistically, except common words and extremely common pronunciation. Greek is a.... Greek language (in its' own branch of the indo-European languages) and Spanish is on the latin-branch.
