  • I have used the same method for severely autistic students and it works wonderfully, however for my cousin (who just turned 18) it only worked in the beginning. The parents decided to homeschool her and her sister (both with autism) and let their other kids go to school. The oldest 2 (there are 7 kids total) are more well rounded and educated, the younger 5 deal w/ bullying, cliques, and meaningless paperwork. Sometimes, homeschooling is the right choice other times not.

  • This was fantastic to see other children who are like my son who is 7.What a wonderfully supportive school.Am going to suggest this system to my school as the current system is not working at all.

  • But what if she needs a break before she has earned all her points or has used up all her points? I can relate to not being modivated by grades though.

  • Loved this strategy.
