Does anyone know what the *very* symmetrical marks are on Leoben's back? Are they native to the actor or do they hold significance for the character? They look similar to corset piercing marks. TY!

@aguid23 You're exactly right. Those dots are there for camera tracking in post production. It helps the editors place the glowing effect automatically

You're right, but it was in a different form. Kara's sleeping. We hear only her breathing...edited a little differently. So it's shown as a deleted scene on the dvd.
Interesting. I'd read recently that they originally filmed the scene more as a violation and this does put a different and slightly more disturbing slant on it. And at the same time manages to make it EVEN SEXIER. Poor Kara! I feel bad for her, but damn, that was hot.
No...and I just got the dvds so I'm checking out all season 3 deleted scenes. One question though - What are those marks down CKR's spine? They're too precise to be birthmarks - some kind of tattoo???

you can see a woman with the same marks on her back. She is one of Baltar's followers!
This scene is when Baltar and his people have been attacted and he's talking to one of the guard and to number Six!! When he is reading the ancient texst.
Just catching up on Netflix...this version is way better!

I would guess they were markers for the glowing spine special effects, which weren't added in post-production since this scene (sadly) wasn't used.

They mean something because in the fade at the end where the mandela is revealed through the paint you see the same marks appear.
