@365rupies no all the sonic games (at least the mainstream ones) follow a continuous storyline. In sonic adventure, tails lost the tornado so I'm guessing that he just rebuilt it in the design of the original tornado which is red (probably because the tornado II,the blue one, was built to run with a chaos emerald. this tornado obviously is not running on a chaos emerald)

Light Gaia is not dead. He bonded his being to the planet and became part of it. At the end of the game the voice was Light Gaia communicating with Sonic saying he was part of the ground he walked on meaning he and the planet are now one. I know kind of confusing but hey it's better then him dying like his Dark counterpart who deserved to die for trying to cover the world in darkness and trigger the apocalypse.
