i have a lot of respect for dianno and dickinson, but they both have thier advantages and disadvantages. Bruce trying to sing dianno's songs is ok, exept for the fact that he changed them. He changed the solo in running free, and slowed down iron maiden and phantom of the opera. But if he hadn't joined maiden, iron maiden would have continued past 1981.

I saw Maiden with Dianno in '81(their first American show ever) opening for UFO in Long Beach,CA(LA) and He and Maiden blew UFO off the stage. On "Phantom of the Opera" smoke came out of Eddie's mouth and the arena went ape-shit!! THOSE WERE THE DAYS!! Dianno sounded great that night. I dig the debut and Killers then I thonk Dianno fit very well then, Bruce became the singer. He has great range and took Maiden another level..Great Post!!!
