I actually used leeches on a growth on my arabian horse, within 3 days I used about 12 leeches and then lotion and the growth was gone, when the vet came he said "good old time medicine". Growth did not return.

It is to get out dirty fluids and blood etc, the leeches aren't street leaches they are sterile and can be removed anytime
