so i dyed my hair a bunch of colors, like brown and then blonde and then i dyed it permanent black then i bleached my hair and dyed it red then i dyed it black again, and now i want my hair to be a light brown. should i used hair strip ? or do you think it will jux damage my hair ?
I have my hair dyed black. Its been about to months but this is not the first time I dyed it. My hair is natural dark brown. I want it light brown.. how do I do it without bleaching my hair?
I dyed my hair black back in Aug and a week or so ago i tried to dye it back to brown but it didnt work. ya can tell it dyed a bit on my outgrowth bu tthe rest is still black. And I can not afford to go to a beauty shop. if there a brand that will work well enough so i dont have to bleach it? I dont wanna wait for it to grown out cause thatd take a LONG LONG time. My hair is down to my lower back.
is your black permanent? because i have half black hair and i got it done by a salon and it is permanent, would this would with my hair? also my hair is super long, would i have to use more blech and stuff? sorry for this questions, but i would really love your advice.
so, i have dark brown hair and i want it RED. i bought this hair color from sallys and it's for dark hair only.. but then i have 40 volume developer. the box says to use 30 but would it work if i used 40 instead?
With high-lift colors, they're formulated to do two things: 1-lighten,2-deposit color. So you have to consider how much lift you need. I wouldn't recommend using 40 volume unless your hair is supremely dark, or unless you're going for a very bright cherry red opposed to a richer red. If you reach the processing time they advise and your hair is little too light, that's because the volume used was too high. Just leave the dye on longer, because it's still depositing.
hey so I was a dark-medium brown, and i had a medium brown hair dye and it went black:/
im not willing to pay more than £15 for anything, i have used ColourB4 and it made my hair orange. and i mean ORANGE. so i dont wanna use that again, an y tips?:/xx
pls. help me, i dyed my hair to black last year, then i go to salon and had Hair Color, i was really disappointed because the tip of my hair is black, the lady said its because of my permanent hair dye, what should i do?
Do you know how to do a shampoo cap? My hair I'd currently black & I want it a dark burgundy without bleaching .. U know a shampoo cap is the way to go but not sure exactly how to do it ? Help pls ?! :)
@TheFriskyPolice depending on what your colour is now then yes, if you have black hair and are trying to get it blonde on your own it will be very damaging to your hair, you risk breakage and dry hair
Your very pretty :) But I think you should grow you're hair out.It looks pretty thin short.THEN AGAIN I don't know if that's just naturally how it is.I love the video by the way! ^^
i'm a redhead and i dyed my hair blueblack... my hair is veeerry long, but layerd and quite thin, so my question is, will it harm my hair when i bleach them?
i full on wash my hair about 3 times a week (using dry shampoo in between) and deep condition atleast once
a week i have been using the same manic panic stuff because my other dye was getting to expensive but the manic panic drastically fades in like one wash.
i no its only semi-permanant but how do you keep yours so vibrant?
here there ^^ well my hair is black and short aswell so in december i am planning to have it vampire red, so i know when i am done bleaching it , it will turn out like a orengy brown color so i was just wondering if the red is gonna end up looking good or not in the end?
Soo does colorzap take your hair back to ur natural hair color? Like, I'm naturally a light brown. I colored it dark brown but it turned out black... Now I just want my old color back...but it seems like colorzap is making everyone's hair blondish. /;l
I want to dye my hair black with natural black hair dye and it's permenent. How do you remove it ( if I want my hair light brown again ) and how often would I have to do root touch up? Does black fade?
I just want to dye my hair a chocolate brown. I am an asian girl & dyed my hair black. I tried to remove the black dye using Loreal Haircolor Remover. It turned my hair orange blonde, so I dyed it with a chocolate brown (hair box) the next day but the color was so uneven. I went to the hair salon to ask them if they could dye it brown but in the end, it looks blackish brown :/ What should I do ? I really hope you can help me, thanks!
i want to dye my hair blue black, i have dark brown hair, when i dye it it fades so fast?? what is ur suggestion how can i get blue black hair without fades fast?
Most of the time hair like that just fades, and there's not much you can do about it. I would suggest perhaps using heat while you dye, or leaving it on over-night. Past that just be conservative about how frequently you shampoo.
@mena7100 also, make sure its a permanent dye, many dyes are just semi-permanent :P And also, dont wash it more than every second or third day (You can still shower, just not washing the hair, since that is washing the dye out) :P
@mena7100 you can also keep the color longer by washing your hair with cold water and you can buy color treatment shampoos and conditioners and also straightening or blow drying hair
@mena7100 I dyed my hair black once and it refused to fade. If you have a red shade under the black probably won't fade as quickly. I don't know what that would do to the blue/black effect you'd like though.
@mena7100 pick up a color protectant shampoo and conditioner(a absolute must for fast fading or colortreated hair), use less hair products daily if possible, and if you wash your hair everyday.......dont! see if u can buy a dry shampoo if you get oily hair..its not good for everyday but it helps u use less wet shampoo which pulls out haircolor. hope this helps=]
I think in that situation you might be able to just dye it brown over the top of the black. It might not lighten all the way, but it will at least get rid of the blue most likely.
I dyed my hair black for the first time around 5 months ago and a lot of it has faded to dark brown (my hair was blonde from a previous bleach/dye), would I still need color removal? I want to dye my hair white
@tictacs9413 hey, im a hairdresser i would recomend you strip/colour zap your hair, it iwll go to a orangey blonde colour then you can get a platnum blondes range by loreal go for the lightest one you can then see how it goes from there:)
@DalekParty theres like 300 reviews on it @ folica.com Ive YET to try this out !!! i think i could save myself the hassle of a bleach by buying it someday O__o,how was the damage by the way :) ? most people on the reviews only complain about the smell!
@MarinaMakeup Was I supposed to mix the cream developer with the L'Oreal Color Zap activator and remover powder? Because it didn't really do much to remove that permanent Revlon black color dye I used 6 months ago...
@EpicFiction Yea the "L'Oreal Hair Colour Remover" from WalMart and other stores works to strip away black from your hair. I've gone from black hair to bleach blond hair before. It might damage your hair a little bit but not too bad. Just get some good conditioner after wards. And stripping it once might not get all of the black out you might have to do it twice it just all depends on the person.
your really preety :).. um i just tryed to bleach my black hair and i turned a redd color on bottom and almost white on top and when ever i try to fix it it looks horrible. do you have any tips i could use ? thanks :)
You know, that might be the case, but I have found that going "into" a professional has never been as successful and in fact, has damaged my hair more than when I do it myself. The difference is I know my hair, and I know how I want it to look. I have never been satisfied with the work of "professionals."
@MarinaMakeup You are visiting the wrong stylist and they are using the wrong product. Your hair should never feel worse leaving a salon. It should always feel better.
A 30%D is way to harsh for your hair. Work with a 10 or 20. You prob have very porous hair for over prossesing and a 30 is going to destroy your hair. Deep conditioner is not going to do any thing for your hair you have to fix it from the inside out starting with Malibu's 2x's a week.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@MarinaMakeup also belive it or not if your sylist paid attention in school like she should have... she will know your hair better then you. Just because you think you have good hair and have taken good hair and think you have fixed it does not mean you have. Good stylist know there hair and what to do with it. I can tell just from looking at your video your hair is horribly porous and very damaged from over processing. If you are going for a red or pink in your hair go with a copper toner.
Well "porous" or not my hair felt and looked fine, and always has. A copper toner would have been correct were my hair, first of all not already copper, but also if I weren't putting in blonde as my original intention was. Additionally, perhaps you have all the cash in the world necessary to go to a stylist once a month, but I guess the rest of us will just have to manage on our own, and live with the disgusting "porous" hair that results.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I don't have all the cash in the world In fact I'm in school for hair currently 40 hours a week. I am a broke college student. Im just tellling you the correct way to do your hair. In the end you will only have to cut out your hair because it will be so dead and no longer hold any color what so ever if you do it the incorrect way.
@tattoogoddess85 I'm SURE *YOU* paid attention in school, with those run-on sentences and spelling errors. *snickers*
I agree with you MarinaMakeup, i haven't personally had bad experiences with professionals because when i need a professional I go to my aunt wanda (who is severely OCD and studies her craft like her bible) Buuut.. my mother hasn't always waited around for her to be available and went to fantastic sams this one time...
@medusawall End of story, they decided it was a GRAND idea to put a wave in her baby-fine hair to add volume, not realising how bad that was because of the fact that she had it already dyed with red, and her hair is very fragile. Her hair broke off so badly she looked like she was going bald, poor thing. From now on she takes my advice on hair, and goes with a layered cut instead of a wave and allows me to dye her hair at home. Not a bad hair day since!
@tattoogoddess85 just stfu. Stop bitching about all this "go to a salon" blah blah blah. im the same as her, im never happy with what "proffessionals" do. So shut the fuck up. Her hair looks great and does not look damaged, and considering it was jet black its pretty damn healthy. And why would she go to a professional? so they can do the exact same thing when she can clearly do it herself just fine. SHUDDDUP. you sound like an idiot.
@savannahhewson Savannahhewson I do hair for a living and I am a color master trained in 5 color lines. Do not box all Professionals in one area. Some are bad some are amazing. Just because you had a bad salon visit does not mean every one will as well. Her hair does look fried. The ends are so porous! Professionals do no use box color or lightener. They do not do the same thing as well. It is a completely different proses.
@savannahhewson I sorry I am not going to argue with some one who has not gone to school for this much less has not finished highschool yet. I know what I am doing. You do not.

It is a completely different proses.

eek, thanks for uploading this! I recently decided that I wanted the underneath of my hair blue, and after 3 bleaches it is still. All. Brown.
I will try bleaching again soon, and using toner :O
