I recommend "Stair Construction - Planning with SketchUp" by ArisanTony if you are building stairs and not just drawing them.

hi...great video...i just wanna ask you. is it possible to draw a complete plan with walls and everything when you start it by doing the shapes first ? cause i wanna make a full outline of a building first (by doing shapes that intersect with each other) and than make a detail like windows and walls later, and i found it a hard.... :( help! please...

This is the same exact thing as an array modifier in any normal 3d modeler... why would sketchup complicate things by calling them 'instances'?

Thanks for the information but the one problem I'm getting when I try this is that when I attempt the push/pull any of the treads the little icon has a small red circle with a line through it and I can't do anything to the treads. I also tried adding a line to one of them and it didn't duplicate it to all of them. I followed all of your instructions but I'm still having these problems. Do you have any idea how I'd fix this? Thanks.

Hey this is great , but there is a problem i need allot of help, the internet in the public library is slow, another thing i just have a laptop probook mac, and has very little space, and another i can't afford school, not even city college, and i always wanted to be an architect, i am bike courier, and i dont have internet at home and the rain is comming, and i need internet at home make it free please.
