Burnout and Burnout 2 are simply so MUCH better than their flashier, fancy ass sequels. Track design, handling physics (drifting in POI is just unparallelled!) and of course the music. Trust EA to 'mainstream' the f*ck out of it! I think I was nearly sick all over myself the first time I heard all that teen punk in my beloved racing franchise, no to mention the implementation of EA's 'suspect' Ai >:-/
I can only dream of how Burnout would've turned out MINUS EA's involvement...
@NeoGeoNinja In my opinion, Burnout 3 was the best. Mainly because of how much It improved Crash Mode, making it more of a strategic puzzle gamemode. Aftertouch was also an amazing addition.
Still, I can't agree with you more about the music quality. I prefer the laid back sound of Burnout 1.
Wow! I wrote that 6 months ago? Sounds like I was having a bad day! :-P
I think it's actually that forced puzzle element to Crash Mode in B3 that really irked me, meaning (more or less) that there was ONLY one way to Crash successfully and achieve the required score, thus you HAD to collect the 'Score Multipliers'. Regardless of how great the crash actually was, if you missed the '4x', the great crash was ultimately pointless.
This sat very uncomfortably with me if I was honest.
This song is played after crashing a certain number of times in Harbor Town and Twilight Harbor. Both tracks are the same, but the difference in the name of them are by the weather.

I have a question... In this game there was music instead of songs? (like in Burnout 3)
If its just music, then I MUST have the game. I dislike when there`s songs in a racing game
