Easily the best MMO I have every played...nothing else even comes close. The fact that every realm had unique classes, the 3 realm system, the monumental impact of PvP objectives, siege warfare...Every now and then I reactivate for 14 days and remember what it was like. I loved my heretic more than any other video game character I have ever played.

New people are coming back to DAoC everyday. If you are new to daoc you should know its easy to get to max lvl where the pvp action is taking part. All you got to do is the solo/grp instances, there are like 4 of them, lvl 0-20, lvl 20-30 ect. You just take quests from the taskmaster in the villages close to the instances and go into the instance and complete it, then go back and repeat until your lvl 50 and ready for the real game! The pvp is really breathtaking!

The frame-rate? What you on about? It's not as flashy and instant and WoW? How is that a bad thing? And just for the record, the cluster IS one server. Every zone is merged in-game, all but the housing zones, and that hardly matters.

It's easy to start playing this game now, and return. It's a single download of 4gigs and you're in. There's a good population on the Ywain cluster and there's people playing in every level range. Go to the battlegrounds from level11 and have a blast! I know I am.

I miss in the very beginning when Smite specced Clerics had the same damage output as Wizards except Clerics wore chain armor and had buffs, I was very sad the day they nerfed my Cleric. Now I play a Thane, rofl.

@spleen1666 Those expansions were not perfect.. But without them at all I doubt the game would have lasted as long as it did. Also I don't think DAOC ever died... We still have a great community playing 24 hours a day. cheers.

@leirgauk It's because they played it for several years then moved on. When they try to go back noon knows then, there guild is no more. They get killed in rvr all the time in the beginning and they cannot relive the game as they did the first time when they where 5-10 years younger. And ofc they blame some expantion for destroying the game etc... The game is there, there are players in it. Once you get into a guild in pvp , you will have lot's of fun. But you have to stick with the game a while
