About shields: check the "stability" number when deciding. It's the most important (apart from "physical" which should be 100). Stability is how easy you can keep the shied up when taking hits without staggering.

I've been playing dark souls while watching this walkthrough, and he picked a great class that fits his name. From his wandering I've found more stuff than I would have without this walkthrough (even though most of you are debating whether or not it is a walkthrough, but I call it a walkthrough, because technically it is showing how HE goes through the game) so all I really wanted to say was, thank you, keep making progress, never give up, and keep making videos for all of us who love them.
most of the frustration i get watching these vids is when he doesn't learn from his mistakes. case in point was blight town. he whined when he got poisoned. but did he go buy/farm purple moss? no. then he let 2 phantoms do all the work on quelaag and allowing one to die when he had 6 flasks left. and didn't he also consult the strategy guide *during* a recording? how is that playing blind? no one is asking him to play perfectly, but at least play with a little more sense and rely less on excuses

Ghost...there's a bonfire at the top of the tower...you're on the right path. (When you get to open air, and the first section that starts flaming, there's you can drop off a break in the side to the bonfire).
I've never seen you upgrade armors and shields... why? This would surely help. In the last episodes you've been losing so much energy against every kind of enemy, so, uhm... raising the defense looks like a good option to me, at least.

A mimic is a monster that hides in things like chests, jars, and other closed spaces like that so the chest itself was not the mimic and if you were going for a backstab i dont think that you did it right then again i dont have dark souls thats why im watching this
Try using a weapon with reach, stick to the halberd. It's a great weapon, with longer range than the uchigatana and you can easily defend from an offensive position as well.
Here's an attempt at a map in 500 characters or less
Get yourself back to where you died in this vid and continue. you come to one more bridge with blades and a snake mage. Use something ranged to murder snakey. Cross the bridge watch for pressure plates of arrow death on the far landing. look right...stairs to FREEDOM
The roof is bomb-giant HELL. so you have to rush out the door, up two flights of stairs to left then run off roof to right. look for a break in the wall and fall on bonfire.
The best way to tell the difference between a mimic and a real chest is the chain on the right side if it's towards you it's a mimic if it's away from you it's real.
Sen's Fortress get the ( Covetous Gold Serpent Ring ) Effect Boosts item discovery by 200. Get to the area with the boulder directing device and move the lever so that it goes west (same way as proper way to go to continue upstairs). let the boulder roll 5-6 times so it fills up the hole then move the lever North (empty space). Now go into the West path and follow it through to the end. You will find a ring on a corpse in a window and a way into a room where the first MIMIC chest is. Good luck
The bond fire is hard to find in Sen's Fortress. Keep going up and up and when you see the Big guy that open the doors to the place the bond fire is near . You will need poison arrows to beat him. The female Undead Merchant is located in the lower parts of the Undead Burg . on an aqueduct that links to a shortcut taking you to the Firelink Shrine.
Please use Strong attack more and try using the Drake sword two hand strong attack Wow its nice Alot of good weapons have magic attack when you two hand strong attack with them . I Love your Walkthrough . I started watch them when I started playing my dark souls and it help me out alot but I have beat the game twice now and have alot of cool stuff .
You should go get the ( Grass Crest Shield ) At the bottom of Darkroot Garden guarded by a Black Knight. It Raises stamina regeneration speed and will help alot and can be upgraded

Ghost, there is a bonfire in Sen's fortress, when you get outside the fortress, you need to go left, up the stairs run to the up the next stairs, and then you see a broken wall, run of the wall and you see the bonfire. (By the way, be wary of a bomb trower)

When you reach the top your gonna see a charred mark with the side of the tower broken you check the side and fall in if its the bonfire. it's really hard for me now damn NG+4
@DSliderkzh Follow the path the roots make. You should come across two tower structures, the second one with an illusory wall with a bonfire behind. The dragon legs won't bother you unless you get too close. They also don't respawn, if you feel like cleaning up the area first.
@DSliderkzh those dragon leg thing don't respond after you kill them, so spend some time, find a good place and start to snipe them down one by one. without them you'll have a better time navagate your way towards the structure in the middle, you'll know what to do when you get there. Remember to equip the ring that allows you to run in the hot lava.
@DSliderkzh Just be careful take a good look around the big room and make sure you know where they are, then when you have a good idea run like hell for the big tower in the middle of the room, if the dragon things jump at you ignore them and just run for the tower when you get there, there will be a false wall on one of the sides find it and get in there when you reach it there will be a bonfire inside and you can take it from there hope this helps!
I remember how I grinded up to levle 70... It was so funny destroying the 'Giant Chest' in Anor Londo, the sun going dark and defeating level 40 Darkmoons. Took on 2 of them, one throwing lightning & one melee. It was funny dodging and lucking out with my pyromancies, xD.
Anyway, your walkthroughs made me buy the game (I still haven't completed it - Got stuff for christmas too!) and I hope to finish it eventually, xD. Keep up the good walkthrough! :D

As was already said by at least one other person. Ghost died to that mimic at the VERY end of part 46. It was only since dieing to it that people were telling him to go back there and get the lightning spear.
@TheGreatestToolFan It didn't get spoiled for him. Go back an episode or two (called terrifying) he gets destroyed by it and screams... epic ending too.
I believe that the best weapon you can have in this game is PATIENCE and the more you use it the easier and funner the enemies become and the best armor is TOLERANCE excepting deaths as a way to learn and make your self tougher. GO GhostRobo !
I've been watching your Dark Souls videos, I had to agree with you commentary, since even with the guide I'm flying blind in this game and getting my head handed to me but also there are players who spend their waking hour playing this game alone, fortunately I don't count myself among them since I need to put this game away every now and then and play some others like Arkham City or Sonic Generations

If you continue up the fortress, you will eventually end up on the roof. take a left up the stairs and then quickly head towards a crumbling portion of the wall. If you are not fast enough then you will probably receive a rather unpleasant surprise.
the blacksmith sells 2 shields with stats a little better then the one you are using, and arrows. bring up your endurance to level 20-5, that should help with your stamina so you can guard a little longer against Sif, the Giant Gray Wolf, among other things ^.^ here's a small tip to beat him too. use Firebombs! it don't do as much as slashing away at em but it will keep you safe from 90% of his attacks, if you watch his movements and throw them after his combos! plz thumb up so Ghost can see!
Ghost do some off screen grinding! Make sure you watch a guide for how to do it properly or something so we can see you next time as an awesome leveled person! Thumbs up so he can see!
there is a way how you can c if a chest is a memic or not(probs wrong spelling)but if the chain of the chest is pointing backwards with some kind of curl in it its safe but if the chest has a chain that is without a curl and not pointing backwards you better not open it unless you want to fight it:)
to get to the bonfire keep going the way you were going when you get outside go up the stairs to the platforn and carefully look over the edge as boulders r being thrown at you and you can seee the bonfire and drop down to it
I would suggest getting havel's ring, murakumo(if shiva is still in the forest), and the grass crest shield would really help since you aren't good at endurance management. But that's just what I used
Ghost, you are gradually getting better, but I would suggest you grind the three NPC's in Darkroot Garden for a while longer; at least until you hit level 40 or so. It actually won't take you very long, and the points you invest in endurance and vitality will be invaluable. Also, UPGRADE YOUR GEAR! I only managed to clear Sen's Fortress after grinding to level 70 with upgraded elite knight gear and the Drake Sword (I wore Havel's Ring for increased maneuverability.) Thumbs up so he can see!

@brianakacucuy And I beat it at lvl 4 :) you're right how lvls dont matter it all depends on what weapon you use and armor you have on. And being a pyromancer also makes it easier to beat since the glove needs no stats to use :/
@GrieverHP03 man i beat it level 1 as a pyro mancer and it isnt fun ruins game as you beat boss so easily with flam maxed out try doing it with no pyro mancy man trust me if you love this game it will push you to a limit that when people invade you you will be like bring it on knowing that your a level 5 tank hahahahahah and try to stay under level 7 as after that stats are pointless im a level 7 rocking a claymor fire maxed 780 dmg total lol weaing maxed palidin armor
@brianakacucuy It kinda makes it fun though because when you're such a low lvl from certain bosses 1 hit can kill you lol I've been there many times. I try not to spam the pyro glove(Mostly Great combustion) when I get invaded. Usualy I leave out my lightning estoc for speed. But I agree that maxing out the glove makes the game the game too easy with boss fights and pvp. That Claymor sounds kick ass man and im using full catarina armor.
@Wagglino If you had to be lvl 70 to do sen's fortress, then you need to practice, because when I beat Gwyn I has 65, and non upgraded drakwraith armor.
@Wagglino thats really noobish and i think telling him that you could only do it at lvl 70 with fully upgraded elite gear with a sword twice as powerful as his doesn't really help. The only way i could do it was by parrying every attack the snakes did to me. i finished sens fortress at lvl 32.
@Wagglino Wow dude most people finish their first playthrough around SL 70-80. Sens Fortress is a SL35-45 area. I hate to break this to you but you might suck at Dark Souls.

Playing blind isn't an excuse. I played blind my first time and beat Ornstein and Smough within the first 10 hours. You make this game look much harder than it is.

Ghost, you must, Must, MUST, buy titanite shards from the blacksmith and use them to reinforce your armor! One of the reasons you get 1-2 shot by everything at your point in the game is because you are still using starting game level 1 armor, and that shit won't fly at the point in the game you've reached, ESPECIALLY AFTER SEN'S FORTRESS. So please, upgrade your armor so you can continue progressing. I really want to watch this series continue! Thumbs up so he reads this!
@arm7661 restore your humanity and fight the dark spirit Maneater Mildred just past the second bonfire at the base of Blight Town. Once you've done that you can summon her (if you're human) to help you fight Queelog.
Backstab. You already circle the enemies and attack from behind.... Just line up behind them and backstab. It gives invincibilty during the attack, knocks the enemy back, and does a lot more damage. Its painful seeing all these chances wasted STILL.
Upgrades: EVERYTHING YOU HAVE ON. Do it. You're at the smith already. It helps. Save yourself a lot of pain.
Progress: F*** progress. Play till you wanna play and no more. Its a game.
Ghost, if you want to progress in Dark Souls you need to play for longer than 11 minutes at a time. That being said, I find it hilarious that you're so terrified by this game!

Yooo Ghost glad youv noticed the importance of damage reduction in shields ;). Dont worry im not slating, i love your videos, entertaining as ..****. Why not do an episode of upgrading your armour and your shield up to +5, you only need titanite shards, which cost 500 souls. So im sure youd be able to get that done in 20 minutes or so. Plus it'd be good for you, you'd get better defense and keep your weight the same. Just a thought. Keep uploading. Peace out.

That being said, I do think your fighting style could use quite a bit of work. Combat in Dark Souls is about managing your stamina bar mostly. Try sticking to a few attacks before tak
king a few steps back to regain your stamina. Also try circling your target to get behind its back and avoid attacks.
Just do a search for "Sen's Fortress Bonfire" on youtube.
There are a bunch of videos that show how to get there, that will be better than any written directions we could write. You have to get to the roof first though.
@GhostRobo I really enjoy watching your walkthrough and I don't mind you not being the best Dark Souls player, because your videos are supposed to be entertaining and entertaining they are. Nevertheless there's one thing that annoys me: you don't use backstabs at all! No offence, but I constantly want to smash my head on the table, when I watch you take hits, when beating enemies to a pulp, when there is an easy way to get rid of them. You should at least try it, makes things so much easier.

Thumbs up if you found Ghostrobo cause of Dark Souls Walktrough or this walktrough is the thing keeping you subbed.
For me, this is the case pretty much.
There are so many dark souls letsplays, but pretty much none of them offer blind or this fun playtroughs.

Ghost...there's a bonfire at the top of the tower...you're on the right path. (When you get to open air, and the first section that starts flaming, there's you can drop off a break in the side to the bonfire).

I've never seen you upgrade armors and shields... why? This would surely help. In the last episodes you've been losing so much energy against every kind of enemy, so, uhm... raising the defense looks like a good option to me, at least.

A mimic is a monster that hides in things like chests, jars, and other closed spaces like that so the chest itself was not the mimic and if you were going for a backstab i dont think that you did it right then again i dont have dark souls thats why im watching this

Try using a weapon with reach, stick to the halberd. It's a great weapon, with longer range than the uchigatana and you can easily defend from an offensive position as well.

The roof is bomb-giant HELL. so you have to rush out the door, up two flights of stairs to left then run off roof to right. look for a break in the wall and fall on bonfire.

The best way to tell the difference between a mimic and a real chest is the chain on the right side if it's towards you it's a mimic if it's away from you it's real.

Sen's Fortress get the ( Covetous Gold Serpent Ring ) Effect Boosts item discovery by 200. Get to the area with the boulder directing device and move the lever so that it goes west (same way as proper way to go to continue upstairs). let the boulder roll 5-6 times so it fills up the hole then move the lever North (empty space). Now go into the West path and follow it through to the end. You will find a ring on a corpse in a window and a way into a room where the first MIMIC chest is. Good luck

The bond fire is hard to find in Sen's Fortress. Keep going up and up and when you see the Big guy that open the doors to the place the bond fire is near . You will need poison arrows to beat him. The female Undead Merchant is located in the lower parts of the Undead Burg . on an aqueduct that links to a shortcut taking you to the Firelink Shrine.

You should go get the ( Grass Crest Shield ) At the bottom of Darkroot Garden guarded by a Black Knight. It Raises stamina regeneration speed and will help alot and can be upgraded

Ghost, there is a bonfire in Sen's fortress, when you get outside the fortress, you need to go left, up the stairs run to the up the next stairs, and then you see a broken wall, run of the wall and you see the bonfire. (By the way, be wary of a bomb trower)

@DSliderkzh Follow the path the roots make. You should come across two tower structures, the second one with an illusory wall with a bonfire behind. The dragon legs won't bother you unless you get too close. They also don't respawn, if you feel like cleaning up the area first.

@DSliderkzh those dragon leg thing don't respond after you kill them, so spend some time, find a good place and start to snipe them down one by one. without them you'll have a better time navagate your way towards the structure in the middle, you'll know what to do when you get there. Remember to equip the ring that allows you to run in the hot lava.

@DSliderkzh Just be careful take a good look around the big room and make sure you know where they are, then when you have a good idea run like hell for the big tower in the middle of the room, if the dragon things jump at you ignore them and just run for the tower when you get there, there will be a false wall on one of the sides find it and get in there when you reach it there will be a bonfire inside and you can take it from there hope this helps!

I remember how I grinded up to levle 70... It was so funny destroying the 'Giant Chest' in Anor Londo, the sun going dark and defeating level 40 Darkmoons. Took on 2 of them, one throwing lightning & one melee. It was funny dodging and lucking out with my pyromancies, xD.
Anyway, your walkthroughs made me buy the game (I still haven't completed it - Got stuff for christmas too!) and I hope to finish it eventually, xD. Keep up the good walkthrough! :D

As was already said by at least one other person. Ghost died to that mimic at the VERY end of part 46. It was only since dieing to it that people were telling him to go back there and get the lightning spear.

I believe that the best weapon you can have in this game is PATIENCE and the more you use it the easier and funner the enemies become and the best armor is TOLERANCE excepting deaths as a way to learn and make your self tougher. GO GhostRobo !

If you continue up the fortress, you will eventually end up on the roof. take a left up the stairs and then quickly head towards a crumbling portion of the wall. If you are not fast enough then you will probably receive a rather unpleasant surprise.

the blacksmith sells 2 shields with stats a little better then the one you are using, and arrows. bring up your endurance to level 20-5, that should help with your stamina so you can guard a little longer against Sif, the Giant Gray Wolf, among other things ^.^ here's a small tip to beat him too. use Firebombs! it don't do as much as slashing away at em but it will keep you safe from 90% of his attacks, if you watch his movements and throw them after his combos! plz thumb up so Ghost can see!

there is a way how you can c if a chest is a memic or not(probs wrong spelling)but if the chain of the chest is pointing backwards with some kind of curl in it its safe but if the chest has a chain that is without a curl and not pointing backwards you better not open it unless you want to fight it:)

to get to the bonfire keep going the way you were going when you get outside go up the stairs to the platforn and carefully look over the edge as boulders r being thrown at you and you can seee the bonfire and drop down to it

I would suggest getting havel's ring, murakumo(if shiva is still in the forest), and the grass crest shield would really help since you aren't good at endurance management. But that's just what I used

Ghost, you are gradually getting better, but I would suggest you grind the three NPC's in Darkroot Garden for a while longer; at least until you hit level 40 or so. It actually won't take you very long, and the points you invest in endurance and vitality will be invaluable. Also, UPGRADE YOUR GEAR! I only managed to clear Sen's Fortress after grinding to level 70 with upgraded elite knight gear and the Drake Sword (I wore Havel's Ring for increased maneuverability.) Thumbs up so he can see!

@brianakacucuy And I beat it at lvl 4 :) you're right how lvls dont matter it all depends on what weapon you use and armor you have on. And being a pyromancer also makes it easier to beat since the glove needs no stats to use :/

@GrieverHP03 man i beat it level 1 as a pyro mancer and it isnt fun ruins game as you beat boss so easily with flam maxed out try doing it with no pyro mancy man trust me if you love this game it will push you to a limit that when people invade you you will be like bring it on knowing that your a level 5 tank hahahahahah and try to stay under level 7 as after that stats are pointless im a level 7 rocking a claymor fire maxed 780 dmg total lol weaing maxed palidin armor

@brianakacucuy It kinda makes it fun though because when you're such a low lvl from certain bosses 1 hit can kill you lol I've been there many times. I try not to spam the pyro glove(Mostly Great combustion) when I get invaded. Usualy I leave out my lightning estoc for speed. But I agree that maxing out the glove makes the game the game too easy with boss fights and pvp. That Claymor sounds kick ass man and im using full catarina armor.

@Wagglino thats really noobish and i think telling him that you could only do it at lvl 70 with fully upgraded elite gear with a sword twice as powerful as his doesn't really help. The only way i could do it was by parrying every attack the snakes did to me. i finished sens fortress at lvl 32.

Ghost, you must, Must, MUST, buy titanite shards from the blacksmith and use them to reinforce your armor! One of the reasons you get 1-2 shot by everything at your point in the game is because you are still using starting game level 1 armor, and that shit won't fly at the point in the game you've reached, ESPECIALLY AFTER SEN'S FORTRESS. So please, upgrade your armor so you can continue progressing. I really want to watch this series continue! Thumbs up so he reads this!

Tips o' the day:
Backstab. You already circle the enemies and attack from behind.... Just line up behind them and backstab. It gives invincibilty during the attack, knocks the enemy back, and does a lot more damage. Its painful seeing all these chances wasted STILL.
Upgrades: EVERYTHING YOU HAVE ON. Do it. You're at the smith already. It helps. Save yourself a lot of pain.
Progress: F*** progress. Play till you wanna play and no more. Its a game.
So far so good. Keep it up.

Yooo Ghost glad youv noticed the importance of damage reduction in shields ;). Dont worry im not slating, i love your videos, entertaining as ..****. Why not do an episode of upgrading your armour and your shield up to +5, you only need titanite shards, which cost 500 souls. So im sure youd be able to get that done in 20 minutes or so. Plus it'd be good for you, you'd get better defense and keep your weight the same. Just a thought. Keep uploading. Peace out.

@GhostRobo I really like watching your let's play of Dark Souls. Your enthusiasm and constant babbling makes your videos consistently more interesting to watch than a lot of other let's plays.
That being said, I do think your fighting style could use quite a bit of work. Combat in Dark Souls is about managing your stamina bar mostly. Try sticking to a few attacks before tak
king a few steps back to regain your stamina. Also try circling your target to get behind its back and avoid attacks.

@GhostRobo I really enjoy watching your walkthrough and I don't mind you not being the best Dark Souls player, because your videos are supposed to be entertaining and entertaining they are. Nevertheless there's one thing that annoys me: you don't use backstabs at all! No offence, but I constantly want to smash my head on the table, when I watch you take hits, when beating enemies to a pulp, when there is an easy way to get rid of them. You should at least try it, makes things so much easier.
