Ok... What's the difference of making a new layer and the old one when you draw?

you need new layer so you can edit the color without touching the other colors in another layers

For Example I want to erase the color of the hair and its in layer 1 I can erase it without erasing the color of the skin which is on layer 2

I'm Drawing in Photoshop with many layers while recording this video at the same time, now you will think how the hell did an old computer do this thing. hehe now Im using quad core with 2GB ram what do you think my quad core can do.

hey, for the line art, did you draw it on the computeror did you scan it in, and if you did scan it howed you get your lines so smooth and clean looking?
