Hey BassNut4Jazz, thank you for the comment. Jazz fusion is really my stick. But you must change with the time. I have my luthier mod them for me. I don't do them myself. The pickup cavity and the control cavity are shielded and grounded due to they are single coil pickups. My mod ideas come from, looking at a bass and doing something that nobody ever seen before. Lol! Choppin', I will. Keeping deep bass alive!

Got it custom made by my luthier. Thanks, this one has a Artec SE-2A 2 band eq in it. Vol. Pan/ Stack bass & treble. Brought off of ebay.

Hey Coop Got my SX URSA 6 string sunburst Dec 20th.....And it is "Sweeeeet" Got to do a few mods to it like TUSQ XL nut , And Tortashell (excuse my spelling) pickgaurd...And I want a Pre-amp so awesome....It'll make Elvis start shaking again...Got any recommendations? Love your saying...Bass for life!

Hi, (Coop) here. All you have to do is go to "EBAY", put in the word "ARTEC" bass preamp and they're preamps will show up. It's the "SE-2A" bass preamp. It has a volume knob, a pan/balance knob and a stack bass & treble knob. Now, you may have to add a battery box. It all depends on how much space you have left when putting the preamp in.

Hi. I've been thinking of adding an Artec preamp to my Squier Jazz. How do you like yours? And also, if I DO get them, which one should I get so that I it fits into the cavity? I don't want carve any wood
