  • I totally agree with franklispeaking1, I keep coming back to it too, it's totally amazing, every performer on that stage is truly truly gifted and talk about being complimentary to one another...jeez they've got it all....anyone answered my earlier query about whether this was ever released as CD......I'm not a prayin' man but if there is a god let him/her release it ib=n THEIR label!!

  • Astounding, and very reminiscent of someone that Humphrey Lyttleton played on one of his Monday night shows. He said the guy played the "Puckalo", it was either Dahoud or Joy Spring and he was just as amazing.

    Brian

  • genial, fabulos, tot respectul.......

  • I keep coming back to this because it just makes me happy to hear such great music done so well.

  • Some kids want to play guitar... That guy made a pan flute his instrument.

  • quê isso!!!!!! O cara é bom demais!

  • Amazing. FYI: Eddie quotes Clifford Brown's "Joyspring" at 4:38, prompting a "Whoa" from one of the other band members.

  • The pianist is Randy Porter. He resides in Portland, Oregon and is one of the best pianists I've ever heard. Check out his website and cd's.

  • Damien Draghici = Fast Forward

  • The panflute does not seem to be diatonic, unless he is bending the notes.

  • Incredibile!! mai avrei pensato si vedere suonare e improvvisare con il Flauto di Pan in uno dei più bei brani Be Bop del mitico Bird

  • he's a robot run away!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The pianist has a great concept too. Instantly one of my fave pianists.

  • That pan solo is majorly hot stuff.

  • Fenomenal!!!!!! And Eddie is the GREATEST!!!

  • Fenomenal!!!!!!

  • Grande!!

  • Hello,

Man, that flute is not diatonic at all.

  • wowwwwww

    amazing!

great creativity, swing and fresh ideas

    thanks for post

  • I played with Reggie once. He is awesome.

  • Correction- to the previous post. It should say "not a chromatic instrument". The pan flute is a diatonic instrument.

  • Just so everyone knows, the pan flute is definitely a chromatic instrument (ask Zamphir!). I know because I've performed with Damian and played the instrument. It's a "G" scale. He is able to get chromatics by bending the flute (his own technique). He is an amazing artist. the instrument

  • sped uuppp

  • The Drummer is the Great Reggie Jackson. He is Diane Schuur's stick man and also plays behind Columbus Piano/Organ virtuoso Bobby Floyd.

  • wow!!!

  • hehe, the drummer didn't expect it to be that fast!

  • Its not diatonic, itt's a chromatic pan flute, but awesome!

  • That little dot below his lower lip...obviously a secret air hole connected to fuel rods hidden in his pants. Amazing if you notice..he's not playing the lead pan flute line, but actually the bass.

  • The beginning is speeded up.

  • Zamfir be damned!

  • Damian Draghici...:x...Romanian powerhealls !

  • Also, I would love to see and hear the end of the song. Why did it get cut off?

  • The pianist is Randy Porter from Portland, OR. Really great. Good to see him in such great company.

  • @bminorwaltz

    this is NOT Randy Porter

  • @midiworkshop This most certainly is Randy.

  • Was watching this and pleasantly surprised to see my cousin Scott Steed on bass!

  • Amazing and incredibile Damian genius! NO COMMENT!

    Claudia_ROMANIA

  • OMG

  • How on earth can he play the chromatic notes if this is a diatonic instrument??

  • @shizohal he bends the instrument on his lip and/or pushes and retracting his lower jaw

  • @shizohal Technique and practice....Howard Levy does stuff like this on harmonica...half blowing to get desired notes as well as other techniques.....I can't even imagine the level of finesse.

  • Absolutely mind blowing. Great arrangement and great playing by all involved.

    Bedz.

  • I love it! I Would never believe that it could be possible to play this kind of Jazz on Pan flute! Chapeau! great arrangement! Thanks to Ulrich Herkenhoff who gave me the link... Cheers to all music lovers. Alexandre Cellier

  • A waltzing Donna! Fabulous and inspiring. On top of the amazing playing by all involved, 10 stars to the sound man for a great clear mix.

  • Very, Very, Very Nice and enjoyable.

  • EL MEJOR EN EL PANFLUTE DE EL MUNDO.

  • Surprised he doesn't get whiplash...

  • Randy Porter on piano---eddie daniels on clarinet--scott steed on bass. drummer unknown to me. smokin' band!

  • Wow - sounds amazing Damian. BTW for those who don't realize it, the pan flute is not a chromatic instrument. The ability to play bebop on it at all is as amazing as the speed with which he plays it. A one of a kind talent!

  • Who's the piano player. He's smokin'!!!!!! Great arrangement of an old Be Bop tune. I love it when they breath life into the old chestnuts.

  • He must eat a corncob like no one's business.

  • @gsn69 lol

  • @gsn69 haha very good

  • @gsn69 lmao....

Aca en mexico los afiladores traen ese instrumento para llamar a la gente a afilar sus cuchillos y tijeras.

  • Looks like Captain Beefheart on bass.

  • @JohnWesleyBarker --bass player is Scott Steed--great player!
