Patrick Stump will always be "that guy from Fall Out Boy". No matter how hard he tries to get away from it, he's always gonna be asked to play some of their stuff. Deep down he knows that, and I think Fall Out Boy will start playing together again. Who knows, maybe behind the scenes they're writing stuff together now.

@MayonakaMaiku He's not trying to get away from it, actually he maintains a damn good attitude about it (like in this video) that no one gives him credit for. "Fall Out Boy isn't my past; it's very much present+future, just not what I'm doing at the moment" -Patrick Stump. He wants to do FOB again, but he (and the other members of the band) said they are not writing anything right now. Don't assume that either (barely anyone remembers Skrillex's old band, or what Death Cab For Cutie used to be).

Artists as well as everyone else have the right to say no. He could have refused, he could have told them before the interview that he didn't wanna have any FOB references, but that's how a majority of everyone knows him. He was a good sport for doing it, imo.

I thought he did a great job in this interview. I personally thought it was extremely rude that they asked him to play FOB. He's been trying to show he is seperate now and they should not have asked that. They should have asked him to play "Explode", "Cryptozoology" or something more from Soul Punk. But he nailed it all and was polite to them through the whole thing. Can't wait for Soul Punk!
