Im sad that others group us Christians as a whole. I love Jesus and I dont mind gay couples getting married. God doesnt hate gays. He hates sodomy a brutal act that is sinful because there is no love coming from it. If gay people love each other truly then theres no problem. I somehow recall a gay hero in the bible that God helped out. Treat others the way you want to be treated. God bless you.
You are free to dream about what could happen after death, but please don't act like you KNOW, because nobody does. I just choose to be logical, and I refuse to believe any of the wishful thinking dictated by churches or charlatans (is there a difference?).
I'm quite content with ONE good life. Why can't you be? What is so terrible about enjoying one life, then gracefully leaving this world for others to continue living? Refusing the fact that life must end is rather selfish and thankless.
No stance? Respect the constitution? She respects nothing but her own idealogue and making money. The constitution is to grant & protect rights not to take away rights as usual the joke that is fox news
Good video. Too bad the Catholic cretins spent their money libeling gays as corrupters of children with an advertising campaign, but what can you expect from fascists? What's galling is the claim to victimhood they made for social conservatives using the video of the old bitch's cross getting stomped. Social conservatives beat and raped a lesbian and left her for dead because she had a pro-equality bumper sticker on her car during this campaign. How the hell doesn't that count against cons.
@Stevie2Sxc Thats your problem . Something must have went wrong . God did not make you the way you are . Got a BBQ to go to hit me back i will respond later .
@CAtholic29 nothing went wrong. i was raised the same way as all of my friends. loving family, irritating siblings, normal school life. the whole 9 yards. i wasn't even aware of the concept of homosexuality until I started to figure out I was one, so clearly i wasn't brainwashed into it or any other shit like that. i was just born gay, same as my friends were born straight or, in one case, bisexual.
@Stevie2Sxc Something happened whether you know it or not . Perhaps you should seek therapy (not insulting you ) People find out a alot of things through therapy . And you know what? if you got a job with insurance its almost free in most case just a suggestion .
@Llortsaccount I am against gay marriage as well and its needs to be banned . Every time we bring it to a vote in any of the states , it gets voted down for the most part . The courts getting involved is where we run into speed bumps . Is this America anymore ?When the voters can vote one way and someone can cry to the courts about it and get it over turned IS THIS THE AMERICAN WAY THESE DAYS? You might be respected a little more if you canned the foul language and taken "retard" out of vocab.
@CAtholic29 Do you know why the courts were established in the first place? America is a representative democracy; people have only an indirect voice in government. In every democracy, we must also uphold our constitution, which is what the courts are in place for. Besides, the majority of America as of today is in support of same-sex marriage even if they did have a direct voice in government.
@GentlemanThunder7 I dont need a lecture on history from you. Your opinion is that the majority of America is for gay marriage . I take it you live on another planet and never heard of prop eight . Perhaps you never heard of any of the other times it was brought to a vote ? Want me to give you a history lesson? Someone say liberally biased?come on huh you got a brain right? If California the most liberal of the liberal voted it down would it make sense that the majority of people support it?
@CAtholic29 Is California all of the United States? Is it only liberal people that support gay rights, or can it be independents and even some conservatives? After all, Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Senator Olympia Snowe (R-ME), and some other conservatives are supportive of gay rights. What about all of those other times where it was brought to a vote? Do you understand what happens when something is brought into a vote for government? It's not like Prop 8, where it went to the people.
@GentlemanThunder7 In case you live on another planet , California holds a very liberal view (gay marriage support would be a liberal view)If that state voted against gay marriage for sure without a doubt the others would as well and we have seen that .Mostly every time it is brought to a vote , the people vote it down .Real conservatives do not support gay marriage . Real liberals do for the most part.. When the vote goes to the people , they vote it down simple as that .
@CAtholic29 Yes, I'm very well aware of the liberalism in the state of California. Most people vote for Democrats in the state pretty much every time. However, again, is California all of the United States? Why is it that when California passed prop 8 (narrowly, by the way), that somehow means that most of America doesn't support gay marriage? And also, is California the only liberal state in the US? What about Oregon, Washington, Illinois, New York, Rhode Island, Maine, Maryland, etc.?
@GentlemanThunder7 If liberal state such as California would not support it what makes you think the rest of the country would for the most part? Bring it to a vote any day any time this country as a whole would vote it down .
@CAtholic29 (1, cont.) Do you have any numbers of the different groups of people that voted in Prop 8? Did everyone in California vote in Prop 8? Do you have that information? (2) A recent Gallup poll showed that 53% of Americans support gay marriage. The same thing goes for a CNN and ABC news poll. While we're on Prop 8, by the way, a 2010 Fox News poll showed that 71% of Americans who took the poll believed it was unconstitutional, and as you know, Fox has a conservative leaning.
@GentlemanThunder7 53% of liberal Americans voted for it . Like you . FOx News hs more viewers then any liberal show on any of those liberal news channels . They would vote for sure against homosexual marriage and you know it . Stop hanging on to this liberal point of view . The rest of the country sticks to their Christian morals when it comes to homosexual marriage . Us Bible Christians know that homosexual actions are forbidden in the bible ,homosexual marriage shouldn't be up for debate
@CAtholic29 (2, cont.) That, along with the recent polls from Gallup, CNN, and ABC news shows us the unmistakable fact that the majority of Americans today support same-sex marriage. Going back to the poll results, however, you just call all of the people who supported same-sex marriage liberal, which is nothing more than an unfounded claim considering that some of the supporters were actually Republicans. Also, even if they are liberal, this is a representation of America as a whole
@GentlemanThunder7 Polls are polls and you take liberal ones of course .I explained poles to you before Pay attention . Liberal spin exists everywhere . Gay marriage would never be the vote for the country as a whole which means we have not completely lost Christian morals yet. America as a whole is against your view .
@CAtholic29 (1, cont.) When it comes to your arguments against my poll data, all you're doing is a logical fallacy: a circumstancial ad Hominem attack to be quite precise. When it comes to the polling data that disagrees with your position, you automatically dismiss it as liberal or biased, thus unworthy of credibility, even though you don't really show how these particular polls are biased in any way. After all, I gave you a poll from a conservative source saying the same thing as a liberal one
@GentlemanThunder7 My last message debunked your poll data story . I have taught you how to spin polls ,I said that all one can do is poll 1000 liberals lets say . you ask them liberal issues what do you think the turn out will be? FOX news ?what show and exact reference .
@CAtholic29 (1, cont.) That doesn't make any sense. While we're on California, it doesn't even make sense that you bring it up considering that California doesn't represent all liberals, let alone all the people of the United States. As far as the people collectively in the United States in support or lack thereof of same-sex marriage is concerned, it stretches over this wall of liberalism or conservatism and just focuses on one subject: either you support same-sex marriage or you don't.
@GentlemanThunder7 California is the liberal of the liberal and you know that .Doesn't make any sense? WEll if your homosexual (which i think you may be) your lifestyle according to people with Christian morals does not make any sense . GAy marriage supporters are liberal . Bottom line
@CAtholic29 (1, cont.) And even making California seem like a representation of all liberals in their opinion of gay marriage when MA, NY, VT, CT, and NH have accepted gay marriage as well being really liberal states themselves, not to mention that Iowa is a really conservative state and also allows gay marriage. This not only shows your example as California being this pinnacle for liberals to faulty but also shows your perception of conservatives to be just as flawed.
@ScarletGhost4356 30 states have voted it down end of story .True Conservative states do not vote homosexual marriage . Like I stated before True conservatives do not bend to liberal views such as aborition and homosexual marriage .
@CAtholic29 When it comes to the people as a whole in the United States, as I've explained before, it's beyond liberal or conservative, and at that point, it's just yes or no. You keep bringing up states, but we're not talking about states. We're talking about the people within the states; we're talking about the people in the nation as a whole, and as I've explained from my polls and from the fact that social liberalism is now in, more people support same-sex marriage.
@ScarletGhost4356 SPun Poles! History has shown us that poles mean nothing . BUsh was trailing Kerry in the poles up to Election night. WE know what the turn out was . GEt with it. You may be too young to remember Bush/ Kerry race if your not then grow up huh
@CAtholic29 (3) And then, back to Prop 8, you say it represents the people when it only represents the idealisms of the 27% of the people that voted, and from that, an even smaller fraction of the people who voted yes and made Prop 8 win by a narrow margin. Why should Prop 8 represent all of California when only 27% of people voted in it? (4) Yes, you explained how the spinning of polls works, now prove that this is what's happening with my polls. After all, Gallup interviewed Republicans too.
@CAtholic29 (3) As to my Fox News poll: "Did the Judge Make the Right Call in Gay Marriage Case?" ( 4 August 2010). Fox News also reports on another poll from the Pew Research Center showing the increasing support for same-sex marriage among the people of the nation. (4) You also said something about the election between George W. Bush and John Kerry in the 2004 elections. What does that have anything to do with what we're talking about? What was the reference of the Gallup poll on that?
@GentlemanThunder7 You may not be old enough or educated enough to follow me here . I mean I find myself explaining things to you over and over again and you seem to be lacking common sense and logic .
Any judge who clears gay marriage is a liberal judge . Any judge who is against it and judges against it is a good judge. Bottom line .
@CAtholic29 (2, cont.) First of all, the amount votes for Prop 8 only succeeded by a very narrow margin: 52.46%. Yes, Prop 8 worked, but only through a close shave. Second, there is the population information of California and how many voted in Prop 8. In 2008, around 38 million people lived in the state of Califonia, and the total amount of people who voted in Prop 8 was 10,271,399. When you find that percentage, we see that the amount of people who voted in total was 27% of the population.
@GentlemanThunder7 and another thing, if you googled as I suggested you to, you would have seen that gay marriage was voted down by the voters in at least 30 states including Maine . Dont pull at straws just accept the fact your falling here .
@CAtholic29 (5) You also stated that 30 states in the past have voted down on same-sex marriage. However, the difference was that it wasn't on referendum as Califonia was. It was from the decision of government, and majorities inside the governming body change through the course of time, and even then, sometimes gay marriage becomes accepted. Just look at New York with the recent law on same-sex marriage through a Republican Senate.
@GentlemanThunder7 7 times really? Bottom line 30 states voted it down . Now I belong to a couple of forums besides going on this and maintain a blog among other things ,and I had to take the time out to respond to 7 of your comments ? really ? Stop crying facts are facts . You dont have logic or common sense to keep up with me . Stop crying and move on
@CAtholic29 (2, cont.) The Gallup poll, however, shows to be the more credible one considering it's a more scientific poll. These polls, by the way, were all from 2011, except for the Fox News one. If you'd care to post another poll saying that opposite of what I'm saying, I'll be more than happy to hear them.
@GentlemanThunder7 The fact that prop 8 was voted by the people and the people gave an obvious answer of no to homosexual marriage is enough for you think of some other liberal issue and admit loss on this subject . if the most liberal of liberals voted homosexual marriage down , (as I have pointed out before) if brought to a nation wide vote, homosexual marriage would for sure be voted down . End of story GAME OVER .
@CAtholic29 How do the people feel about gay marriage in THOSE states? And when has any other state placed the issue of gay marriage on referendum like California did with Prop 8 for you to say that the people (not the government, the people) always vote it down?
@GentlemanThunder7 Look The computer is a wonderful thing are u telling em you have not done your research on this before coming on? GOOGLE It . For some reason even after voting for a pro abortion candidate for president , they still hold on to their Christian morals when it comes to homosexual marriage I am confused as well here but anytime the people vote the Christian moral way it is pleasing to me and I am sure it is pleasing to God as well (Although who am I to say GOd is pleased ?)
@CAtholic29 You're right, I could look it up myself. In fact, I've read a book about same-sex marriage beforehand only recently. However, it's not my burden of proof to look that up because you're the one who's making the claims that the people really don't support this in any way whatsoever. You're the one who's supposed to know this because you're the one who needs to evidence for such assumptions. I haven't read about any other referendums, have you?
@GentlemanThunder7 Read the papers ? watch the news ? no research was needed . The matter of getting up and using the channel changer for me in this case . Now The people as whole have voted down gay marriage ,not all of the people mind you .
@CAtholic29 I've read about the other times that people have placed same-sex marriage through a vote in government, but only once did it go on referendum (Prop 8), where the people had a direct say in one state about the ordeal of gay marriage and all of them voted down against it. Also, a recent poll states that the majority of Americans support same-sex marriage.
@GentlemanThunder7What liberal CNN or MSNBC pole was that?Heres a tip:(write it down for I rarely give these ) Poles can be spun any way you like . For example I can purposely go to a known conservative area and ask 100 people about gun control ?How do you think the pole will turn out?I can go to a liberal area and ask 100 people about homosexual marriage ,how do you think the pole will turn out? Get my point? And if you pole a number of people who are unbelievers of God (morality is lacking)
@CAtholic29 (1) Again, is California the entire country? Do all liberals support same-sex marriage? Do all conservatives not support same-sex marriage? Are all the people in California political? You keep bringing this all back to California when it doesn't really represent all liberals in the country or even all of the people in the country whether they are political or non political in any way. What exactly is your knowledge of Prop 8? Do you know how many liberals or conservatives entered?
@GentlemanThunder7Again?The nerve!Unless you live under a rock(I am getting that impression,)you know that California is the most liberal of all.If they voted down gay marriage,What makes you think the majority of the Country would not do the same?I cannot name a single conservative that supports homosexual marriage .Most liberals support it.DO you know what Prop 8 even was ? Dont skip or spin here ok the fact remains that if homosexual marriage went to Nation wide vote it gets voted down.
@CAtholic29 (1) How do you prove that Califonia is the most liberal state of all? New York, Hawaii, Maine, and a couple of other states are really liberal too. Even then, by the way, that still doesn't diminish the fact that California isn't the entire United States or a total representation of all liberals in the United States. Do all liberals live in California? (2) Fox News has a conservative bias and the people who went on the poll provided by that channel didn't agree with Prop 8.
@Gentlemane San Fransisco is a biggie for starters.Arnold only got elected governor because of who he is that is all . Pot Plants . (you know about the legal growing there under certain circumstances) California is extremely liberal arguably the most liberal .(liberal Hollywood ever here of it)If they voted down gay marriage what makes you think the majority of the country who is not as liberal would vote for it?Its called common sense (dont pretend you dont have any because your stubborn.)
@CAtholic29 (1) I gave you a poll from Fox News saying the exact same thing from a poll in CNN and ABC News, and as you clearly know, Fox News has a more conservative bias, yet you state that it somehow has a more liberal spin to it. Speaking of which, it's one thing to say how something happens (as you've stated with the polling data) and another thing to actually prove that this is happening. After all, the information from the Gallup Poll had a survey of Republicans as well.
@GentlemanThunder7 LEt make this a little more clear since common sense is not in your strength area: Proposition 8 was up for vote in Cali .While the liberals voted for Barak Obama for president in that same area (knowing his stance on abortion ) they voted homosexuals right to marry down not forgetting their Christian morals completely . A Poll is a poll . Let me explain When W ran for re-election the poll on every channel had him losing to Kerry . What happened at vote time? Open eyes !
@CAtholic29 (1) It seems at this point, you really don't understand your own evidence about Proposition 8, so it seems. You keep going on about how Prop 8 shows to represent all of the people of California in their decision to repeal same-sex marriage when only 27% of the state voted in the referrendum in 2008 and even then, only a narrow margin of people seem to support the repeal. Yet, however, as small as the amount of people voting was, you still keep saying that it represents all of CA.
@GentlemanThunder7 really ? 7 comments ? Bottom line Prop 8 was a bad move for homosexual marriage and proved that the people voted it down further proving that they draw the line at gay marriage .(keeping their morals ) too late to cry about it the American people do not agree with you .
@CAtholic29 (This is GentlemanThunder7) (1) But you're not listening to what I'm saying. What you're trying to argue here is that the people of the United States in general will not accept same-sex marriage and using this one select, independent example where the vote was put on referendum and people voted it down. Again, is California all of the United States? Do the opinions of the people of all of the United States as a whole come from California?
@ScarletGhost4356 5 messages really? THE PEOPLE In THE USA WILL NEVER VOTE FOR homosexual marriage as a WHOLE. CALIFORNIA IS ONE OF THE MOST LIBERAL . MAIN VOTED IT DOWN AS WELL .
@CAtholic29 What of my information is flawed? Could you please explain that? What evidence you have that people nationwide state that most of them don't support same-sex marriage? What is your rebuttal against me?
@ScarletGhost4356 I think you know and have done your research enough to know that 30 states voted this down the people have spoken , take their vote away take the A out America away . IF California and Main can vote out homosexual marriage this would mean that even among the most liberal of the liberal they still keep their morals when it comes to homosexual marriage end of story
@CAtholic29 Is that all of your rebuttal? You didn't even acknowledge of the other statements I've made defending the polls (backed by conservative sources as well, including Fox News) I've used in order to back my opinons. You explained how these polls can be spun, but you haven't proven that the particular polls, including the one from Fox News, I've used were being spun in order to support some kind of liberal position. This implicitly means you have no argument for that.
@ScarletGhost4356 really 6 comments of the same bs , well lets the games begin ( you must be a real glutton for punishment ) I have educated you on how top twist a pole ,I wowed you all of the ins and outs on this subject .ANy more info on this I will have to charge lol . Yell FOX NEws you have not provided a date and show or youtube video of when this came out . My arguments stands Polls can be spun and a big example of that is the Bush / Kerry race
@CAtholic29 (1) If you're saying that my Fox News poll didn't have a date nor a reference, you obviously weren't paying attention considering that I gave you the title of the poll as well as the year in a previous comment, as well as the fact that it was from the main Fox News center, meaning that it was a conservative source. The fact that it comes from a conservative source really puts a hole in your "all the polls are twisted" argument, and shows us that it's more of a logical fallacy.
@ScarletGhost4356 FOX news also showed Kerry beating Bush but we know how that turned out . Some times without even meaning it so many people are polled that sometimes liberals out number the conservatives . Those who polled that agree with gay marriage are not conservative . Polls say nothing . The fact is that California voters voted it down end of story and there is nothing you can do about that .
@CAtholic29 What this shows is that you don't have any clear steering as to what we're arguing here because you keep bringing up the states, not the people and you don't understand your own evidence considering that some of it is irrelevant and you're using an isolated example in California to somehow try to represent all of the people that live in the nation, in addition to the fact that you don't have the ability to knock down my evidence presented. This means you don't win this argument.
@ScarletGhost4356 THe People as a whole keep their Christian morals when it comes to gay marriage and you know it . When it gets down to the moral issues like Abortion and gay marriage , the country as a whole will always vote it down .STop repeating yourself . really ? 6 times ?
@CAtholic29 (2) It seems like you don't understand the lines between liberal and conservatives from what I see. There's two ways you can be conservative or liberal: fiscally and socially, and based on that, it determines how far to the right or left you are. Take for instance John Edwards, the former senator from North Carolina, who was opposed to same-sex marriage, but he's still pretty liberal based on his other positions: abortion, Patriot Act, Iraq, no welfare service for churches, etc.
@ScarletGhost4356 From what you see its ok for someone to use their rectum to put another persons private in for sexual pleasure when it was intended to be used for bowl movement purposes so what you see really is discredited already is it not ? I of course am aware of conservatives in both ways .TEaching me lessons now are we ? Save it I already know son .No need to try and educate the teacher when your information is flawed along with your opinions .
@CAtholic29 And as I explained about Prop 8, only 27% of the people in the state voted in its support by a narrow margin. We're talking about the people here, and that encompasses all the people in the United States, not just California's 27%. Sure, California is really liberal, but if only a small amount of people are voting and there's just this even smaller amount that just barely gets a majority, of course California is going to get that passed. It doesn't represent all of the people.
@ScarletGhost4356 Bottom line gay marriage voted down in CAli can be voted down anywhere . Bring it to a country wide vote then forever voted down . END OF STORY
@CAtholic29 (2, cont.) Besides, this isn't the only poll that shows a similar trend. I have a whole list of them now, if you'd like. (3) About Prop 8 and the peoplewho voted in there, I'm not going to harp on that any longer. I've shown my point and proven it, and you still don't seem to understand the data, so I'm going to allow the viewers of this debate to decide for themselves whether Prop 8 was a good representation of all of California, let alone the entire United States.
@ScarletGhost4356 DOnt harp on something you lost in the first place . You proved no point the fact is that gay marriage and step to it lost on that night . You dont have the common sense to understand the free education I have given you . Stop wasting my time kid I got bigger fish to fry then a liberal who keeps drowning every time he comments . California is at the top of the liberal states . Prop 8 voted down gay marriage end of story and the liberals cried about it . (you still cry )
@CAtholic29 Except that most of the money that supported Prop 8 came from the LDS.. in Utah. Which means that there was underwhelming support from California voters until the 11th hour when the LDS poured 21 million dollars into pro-prop 8 advertising pandering to conservative blacks and latinos.
California is cool with Gay Marriage, and always has been.
@CAtholic29 Incorrect, they were lied to by the LDS campaign. They were told that if prop 8 passed, that their churches would be forced by law to perform gay marriages. Fear of government meddling with their beliefs is what drove many to the poles, and not anti-homosexual sentiment. A great many supporters even said they wouldn't care if not for this fact.
What amazes me, is that a 'morally righteous' leaders in any religion, such as Christianity, are willing to outright lie to achieve an ends.
Lied ? I dont think so . I dont think LDS lied (even though I strongly disagree with their doctrine . No lying going on . The irony here is we have people lacking Christian morals calling people of religion liars. And the narrator should know to do more research on Megan Kelly . She is very thorough when on the factor . I also think that the narrator citing a case having to do with interracial marriage should not apply to gay marriage . Once again two people of different race were born that way
@gamerunknown Nope We would be in a place without any morals without God.That is how even atheists and other non believers know right from wrong ,because HIS law is written on our hearts . This country was founded on Christian morals and God . "IT is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the BIBLE " (George Washington ) "What students would learn in American schools above all is the religion of Jesus Christ" (May 12,1779 speech to Delaware Indians) ) YEP!
You'd find both of those quotations are fake if you actually bothered to research them. The Virginia statute on religious freedom, later to be incorporated into the first amendment, was written because the Baptists of Danbury in Connecticut were being harassed by the Congregationalists by a president that excised all transcendental material from his Bible. Besides, if one thought it was fine to murder before the commandments, Moses would never have reached Sinai.
@gamerunknown "You will find both of them are fake"says who you? THe Law of GOd is written on your heart kid and there is nothing you could do about it . "It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the bible " George Washington May 12,1779 CHECK MATE .GOt to go to work .
Psychopaths have no empathy, is the law of the devil written on their hearts? In Saudi Arabia, few people would be silly enough to try to charge interest. Does that mean God's law is Shariah? There are fewer atheists in prison than Christians, proportionately. Does God's law reward the poor in spirit?
If you google those phrases, they come up on fakequotes and wikiquote respectively with rationale for why and when they were faked.
@gamerunknown WE all have known right from wrong . You know that . In a classroom of 32 everyone for the most part will have the law of God written on their hearts . Atheists lack morals but also lack care for the future as well. Was this a scientific poll you took ? The poor in spirit ? Why the question ?Anyone can put anything on wiki . i can put that Abraham Lincoln had a size 24 shoe and the next day it will say he had a size 24 shoe. Fake quotes ? edited by biased non believers? NICE TRY
Can you find one source for the first quote from before the 90s? Wikis are generally well researched, revised and sourced. What you hear from a guy that is desperately after your money (your pastor) is not. More often than not, it is the liberal atheists that actually try to care for the environment while the millennial dispensationalists think God will fix everything. 1997 FBI prison poll:0.2% of prison inmates atheists. 5% of non-criminal pop atheist. Appeal to popularity.
wiki I already informed you is not reliable . SO wishful thinking on your part I gave the date and what it was in reference to so did my job now your job is to either accept or get a quote from the individual I quoted contradicting it that is how it works . When you mess with the bull you get the horns in case you thought I was gonna be another easy target your target now . HA I am not protestant. My priests are not after my money they are taken care of by the church .Where would I find poll ?
You can find the results of the poll at the adherents website, or google Denise Golumbaski. To be fair, there were quite a few people that didn't respond that might have been atheists or agnostics. But where was the source of your quote? You obviously didn't attend the speech, so where did you hear it? By the way, what do you think the collection plate goes to? Jesus didn't exactly say "give your money to priests" now, did he?
The collection plate goes to bills.THe Priest gets little of it and is of course given room and board. The Preacher gets a home at times and a huge handful of money . Just ask Pastor ROn Carpenter of Redemption outreach in SC . THe priest sacrifice is much deeper then a preachers.Jesus commended the poor woman for giving more money then the rich in temple . Where do you think that money went ?(the old switcheroo)I will get the references for quotes for you this was just an off the cuff response
@CAtholic29 (2, cont.) Then, there's also the fact that you're making this accusation on every poll that I bring up showing this trend of people more in support of same-sex marriage, even the one from Fox News, which has a more conservative proclivity, which shows your argument against my polling data to be iffy at best and the fact that you're saying that because the other sources are liberal, that means their information is not credible, which is nothing more, again, than an ad Hominem fallacy
@GentlemanThunder7 I gave you a very good education on the polls and how one can twist them . FOX News poll hmm? What branch . The main one or one taking place in a liberal area ? You are aware that affiliates may have polls in predominately homosexual areas right? LEts get a grip
@CAtholic29 (1, cont.) Yet you still toss it aside as liberal. Not to mention that the Gallup poll is one of the credible scientific polls in the United States today. (2) I really shouldn't have to look up this information for you considering that you are the one who used this evidence, thus you are the one with the burden of providing me with some resources, but nonetheless, I've looked it up. First of all, you're making it seem as if this big majority voted yes in Prop 8.
@GentlemanThunder7 Gallop Poll failed us all in the W-Kerry race did it not? No poll is fallable. When it comes to voting this country at times has proved to surprise I am sure there were polls on homosexual marriage before prop 8 was there not? Being in Cali it should have went overwhelmingly your way but it did not why ? because the people chose their moral;s in that area . Hey I have two homosexual cousins living their . No hate going on here just truth .
@CAtholic29 (1, cont.) Not every liberal support same-sex marriage; not every conservative goes against same-sex marriage. You're trying to represent the people collectively as a whole when you're only taking up this one isolated incident where the government put the matter up to the people's vote and it came out supporting a repeal in same-sex marriage law. (2) We then move on to your "debunking" of my evidence to my polls.
@GentlemanThunder7 Not every most liberals support gay marriage . If you are a real text book conservative you keep your christian morals and not support homosexual marriage . Bottom line 7 times ? really ?
@CAtholic29 (4, cont.) And now that I think about it, how would these polls be able to get all of this information about who's liberal or who's conservative? How would they be able to get that? Did you explain that? (5) As for the FOX News poll, it came from the main center branch.
@ScarletGhost4356 really 5 times ? Thats very easy to do , It takes work like having someone seek more wealthy neighborhoods and poor neighborhoods , race plays a part . How old are you? you should already know these things . You should put your head in books and newspapers and learn a little more before coming out here.
@CAtholic29 As I said before, we're not arguing what the government feels about same-sex marriage. We're talking about what the people feel about same-sex marriage, and although you bring up these many examples about all the times that same-sex marriage was struck down, there's only been one time in American history (from what I gather) where same-sex marriage was placed on the ballot, and that was in California with Proposition 8 in 2008.
@ScarletGhost4356 And what happened in Prop 8 ? exactly . Maine voted did they not? they voted it down as well . COme on I watch the news too kiddo . CAnt fool me .
@CAtholic29 (1, cont.) You told us how polls can be twisted, but never proved my polls in particular have been twisted in order to uphold some kind of agenda. When you bring up some groundbreaking proof that my polls had their results or methodology twisted in some way, come back to me. (2) You bring up the question about the Bush/Kerry 2004 election and how one of my polls (Gallup) was wrong. To that, I saw, bring me a poll that's always 100% correct all the time.
@ScarletGhost4356 It takes Common sense how polls work dont make me educate you once more on how this works . Most of the polls said Kerry was a lock in for president (how old were you then , you may not have been old enough to care . SO you get your info from past video ) A promise you that there are no polls 100% accurate . (common sense )
@CAtholic29 Then, coming to your evidence about the 30 states, well, guess what? New York once didn't accept same-sex marriage under a Democratic leadership, and now, under a Republican leadership were still able to pass same-sex marriage. Iowa, a really conservative state based on how many people vote Republican in the elections, passed same-sex marriage as well. States are moving toward gay marriage now slowly but surely, and there isn't only one way to be conservative.
@CAtholic29 (2, cont.) So even if they are liberal, it's irrelevant, because they're the majority regardless. (3) However, back to Prop 8. You still haven't responded to my question as to the background information of the voters in Prop 8. How many people voted in Prop 8? What percentage of the state was that? What were their backgrounds? Do you have any supplemental information on Prop 8?
@GentlemanThunder7 Prop 8 was supported by the state as a whole .And voted for and against gay marriage . IF your able to check the so called poles you claim then your able to check the exact numbers . This is your stubborn here and your wrong obviously . You either lack common sense or your a homosexual with stubborn behavior . Homosexual marriage if brought to a vote today would be overwhelming voted down .You know it and I know it .
@CAtholic29 (2, cont.) 27%. That's not even a remote majority of the population, and even then, Prop 8 just barely succeeded. Your example of California really doesn't prove anything considering that it wasn't even the entire state or a close majority for that matter, and Prop 8 only barely succeeded.
@CAtholic29 (2, cont.) There's a difference between explaining that this is something happening to polls (and I don't doubt that this happens with some polls) and proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that this is happening with my polls. The main problem with your debunking is that you have the burden of proof to show that this is something occurring with my Gallup, CNN, ABC News, and Fox News polls about the people's ideas toward same-sex marriage. You've explained it, now prove it.
@GentlemanThunder7 I explained to you about polls did I not? I told you the story about Kerry and Bush need I say more? How old are you? you may not remember that story. If you are old enough then of course your just being stubborn .
Slowly, people ARE starting to realize what Fox and other media outlets are all about... It's time for the News to be News again. 3 part solution: 1. Every channel must provide a 1 hour News program WITHOUT COMMERCIALS. 2. News programs should not be rated by any Ratings system. 3. All News Channels live by the same rules, but are "Pay TV" for revenues as opposed to advertising.
I'm not religious at all and I'm liberal. But I don't approve gay marriage. Do I have the right to do so?!
There is no scientific research to prove that homosexuals are COMPLETELY genetic. Just like stuttering is not completely genetic. I'm a PhD of a real science major.
@mengyl (1) What exactly makes you say there is no research on that? And the fact that you say completely, are you implying that at some level, homosexuality is not a choice? (2) To me, liberals have always been a symbol of freedom; they always have been, ever since the Civil War and Reconstruction. Sure, you have every right to disapprove of gay marriage and be liberal, but....we expected better.
If you love your son, you should try your best to prevent them being gay. Gay life is unnatural and destructive. The average life span of gay men is 20 years shorter than straight men's. and the 75% HIV+ males are gay. In Holland, 'gay marriage' lasts for 1.5 years on average. Most gay men have 100+ sex partners in their life.
@GreatPlainsArmen The country is always changing for the better, and the more and more that people want freedom, the more and more conservatives will be around to stop them from getting that freedom, but we can always expect our great American nation to be able to get over the opposition. As long as conservatives are a voice for iniquity, they will not be one heard by the ears of America. That's why, no matter what, conservatives will never win.
@GreatPlainsArmen yeah you want to see conservative compromise look at minnesota and the budget woes, the government will (more than likely) shut down friday because conservatives refuse to meet in the middle with the governor on a budget
I don't hate gays, however in all honesty, I feel that gays are the most messed up people on the planet. I know personaly alot of gays (men and women) and every single one of them are indecisive, emotionally disturbed, and distance themselves from God so as to pursue their immoralitys unimpeded. The only reason the legislature has adopted gay marriage is to boost the economy and to hopefully reduce the population so as to save on resources.
@fanbutton "I don't hate gays, however in all honesty, I feel that gays are the most messed up people on the planet." So it's better if your sister is a muderer rather than a lesbian sinced murderers are less messed up in the head than gays right? LOL!!
The constitution protects your right to speak against gay rights. Homosexuality is going to exist whether you like it or not, and you have NO RIGHT to take rights away from others. Even if YOU don't like it, it's not your RIGHT to say that it's disgusting and we shouldn't allow it.
@FrivolousKnowledge "Even if YOU don't like it, it's not your RIGHT to say that it's disgusting and we shouldn't allow it."
On the contray, the same rights that give homosexuals the right to protest and marry, give everyone else the right to voice their opinions whether you like it or not. It's called freedom of speech. I myself find it very disgusting to know that someone has their penis jammed in someone else's rectum, or someone's tongue is savoring in someone else's vagina.
@Llortsaccount I'm a lesbian. I could just as easily say that straight right is, as you say, "disGUSTING" but that would be completely hypocritical and, to be honest, just plain fucked up. Maybe next time you think about limiting other people's rights, you should stop and ask yourself how you'd like to have your rights taken away. I'm sure if straight marriage was illegal you wouldn't be too happy about it. And neither would I. You know why? Because I think EVERYONE deserves to be equal.
She must have tested really well with the rightwingers who watch Fox. Probably because she said she had no views on the matter, didn't care about it, wasn't opposed to it -- but the Constitution, OUR DEEPEST RIGHTS EVER (the right to discriminate against gays?), our very way of life, all was being threatened by the ... by the courts. Whew, thought she was gonna say "by the gays," didn't you? Ah, she knows how to walk the fine line well -- give that cheerleader an anchor spot!
A true understanding of marriage is bound up in the origin of it. Where did marriage come from? It was not man's idea or invention. Marriage was established by God! The God of The Bible. The second chapter of Genesis tells us about the first marriage. Here were learn God's design for marriage.(Genesis1:27) Marriage is between one man and one woman for life. (Mark10:8-9) When Jesus was questioned about marriage he went back to Adam and Eve. Marriage is first and fundamentally established by God.
@indiajesuslovesyou Our nation's Constitution, which provides the framework for our laws, is in no way dependent upon, nor affiliated with the Christian Bible. Trying to create an interdependency between Biblical and Constitutional Law is actually a violation of the Constitution itself!
Please explain how allowing ALL citizens the right to marry the person of their own choosing (including black, white, heterosexuals, homosexuals etc) will exterminate the human race.
@indiajesuslovesyou I don't know which version of the bible that you are quoting, but it's dead wrong.
Genesis 1:27 says " So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." How does that have anything to do with marriage? And since when do people who don't believe in God have to follow His rules
@indiajesuslovesyou I love how you're quoting the bible here. In case you missed it, we're talking about the constitution here, not your book that people like you use to justify discrimination.
@indiajesuslovesyou just so you know marriage didnt have its start with christianity. nor with juedaism. it was around long before those religions came about. so the christian idea that marriage should be defined as they do is bunk.. plenty of earlier religions accepted same sex marriage and plent of other cultures did as well. at least till christians and muslims stuck their nose in other peoples business. and christanity doesnt run the gov or the constitution which protects other beliefs
Only heterosexual marriages can produce children! A gay couple can only adopt children produced from a heterosexual couple. Without heterosexual couples the races of all people would exterminate! God's design is one man and one woman relationship. His plan always works! Plans by man contrary to God's plan always fail! Constitution is a Christian document! However it does allow free exercise of all faiths because Bible says Love demands a choice. That is why we vote. Thankyou. James Sasse.
@indiajesuslovesyou Marriage is about two people validating their love & entering a legally binding contract (according to the LAW). Where in the law pertaining to marriage does it even mention children? Children are a NOT a byproduct of marriage but of two people of the opposite sex. So again, what do children have anything to do with marriage?
@indiajesuslovesyou Sex is a byproduct of nature. That is why there is no reason to fear the extermination of the human race. The lust for straight sex is to strong in us. A small minority of people are born gay. There is no logical reason to be mean to them. It harms you none. As far as religion, well all religions have a shitty past when it comes to theocracies. 500 years of Crusades. During the plague, Xtians fearing it was a punishment from God started killing Jews.
@indiajesuslovesyou Oh yes, His plan always works, That's why: the world is slowly crumbling to pieces, thousands of people commit suicide everyday, the male race will be extinct in less than 200 million years, there's poverty all over the place, health care simply sucks in half of the world, the chinese have to kill their children because they can only have one and handicapped people exist. Yes, exactly according to plan. Also cells can manipulated in such a way two female's can get a child.
God created one man and one woman! God's laws are to protect life! That is why our constitution and legal system promotes the ten commandments. If I make a wrong choice to murder, commit adultery, steal, fraud, ect., I suffer consequences. If we promote relationships that are contrary to God's Laws then destruction comes to our culture! If our government sanctions immoral behavior that God does not approve of then it is like winning one battle and loosing the war! Thankyou. James Sasse.
@indiajesuslovesyou I'm sorry, I didn't realize that you should be telling people how to live their lives based on your narrowminded book. FYI, the Consitution strictly says that there is Seperation of Church and State. I don't see how two people being in love if they are the same sex could destroy a society. Would you care to explain that to me?
Who else is effing sick of hiding behind the Constitution. I'm Canadian so excuse me if I'm wrong but wasn't it written in the dark ages. Can't updates be done to the archaic thing as people evolve?? I'm sick of hearing everyone use the Constitution to deny peoples rights.
I tend to think you make good arguements, but here i disagree with you. I am for Gay marriage, however here they are talking soley about gay marriage not the whole of the bill. Also Megan (despite my hatred of her) is actually smart on the law, and in this interview is saying legally the gay marriage point of a view has an edge, so you are distording the facts. Admittedly she used a bad reference, but in hind sight i thought she did a fantastic job....well for a Fox News presenter.

And you're sure you're not just lashing back because you're homosexual and your sad ignorant bigot ass parents and whoever the hell you learn those ideals from? Wanting to stick a hot metal in someones ass is a little more sick than a simple same sex relationship. You can't say being gay is wrong and in the same fucking message, endorse sodomy. Again, what the fuck is wrong with you?

NOT ONLY THAT EVEN THE ANIMALS THEY KNOW THAT HOMOSEXUAL IS WRONG.THE ENTIRE WORLD SAID ABOUT its FILTHY SICKNESS AND VERY DANGEROUS DISGUSTING DISEASES. AREN’T YOU ASHAMED OF YOUR SELVES? AND YOU R OUTOMATICALY REJECTED FROM THE FACE OF THE SOCIETY. IS AMAZING. U R THE ONLY CREATURE ON THIS EARTH THAT DON'T FEEL SHAME
@medsheikh thats the stupidest arguement ever. Even if you think that gays are "disgusting" they may feel the same about you. What i dont understand is why you even think that you have control over others "thoughts" about other people. Thats down right insanity. And megyn kelly needs to do some research before she makes utterly absurd comments about a ruling she didnt even read.
@Xceles618 EVERYONE IN THIS EARTH KNOWS HOMOSEXUAL IS SIN, UNHEALTHY, UNNATURAL AND IS AGAINST THE PRODUCTION OF THE WORLD SOCEITY! IT IS VERY DANGEROUS. EVEN A CHILD KNOWS Gays & Lesbians is disgusting is out of the map. Gays & lesbians shame on you. Can you imagine! Even animals don’t do that! 1000,000,000 %, I would rather vote for animal rights! @zeinabhassann wait did you just pop the U word? Un natural? By who's eyes? Did I miss the part in the bible where the snake talks, or the burning bush spoke, or where the red sea was parted and people walked across the ocean floor? Oh yea what about when Mary floats up into the air. Fuck whatever you think is natural you ignorant hick.

This was a terrific analysis of the commentary on the show. It is nice to see such an intelligent and rational video. Well done!

CAtholic29 6 months ago
@Llortsaccount I am against gay marriage as well and its needs to be banned . Every time we bring it to a vote in any of the states , it gets voted down for the most part . The courts getting involved is where we run into speed bumps . Is this America anymore ?When the voters can vote one way and someone can cry to the courts about it and get it over turned IS THIS THE AMERICAN WAY THESE DAYS? You might be respected a little more if you canned the foul language and taken "retard" out of vocab.
CAtholic29 7 months ago
@CAtholic29 Do you know why the courts were established in the first place? America is a representative democracy; people have only an indirect voice in government. In every democracy, we must also uphold our constitution, which is what the courts are in place for. Besides, the majority of America as of today is in support of same-sex marriage even if they did have a direct voice in government.
GentlemanThunder7 6 months ago
@GentlemanThunder7 I dont need a lecture on history from you. Your opinion is that the majority of America is for gay marriage . I take it you live on another planet and never heard of prop eight . Perhaps you never heard of any of the other times it was brought to a vote ? Want me to give you a history lesson? Someone say liberally biased?come on huh you got a brain right? If California the most liberal of the liberal voted it down would it make sense that the majority of people support it?
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 Is California all of the United States? Is it only liberal people that support gay rights, or can it be independents and even some conservatives? After all, Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Senator Olympia Snowe (R-ME), and some other conservatives are supportive of gay rights. What about all of those other times where it was brought to a vote? Do you understand what happens when something is brought into a vote for government? It's not like Prop 8, where it went to the people.
GentlemanThunder7 6 months ago
@GentlemanThunder7 In case you live on another planet , California holds a very liberal view (gay marriage support would be a liberal view)If that state voted against gay marriage for sure without a doubt the others would as well and we have seen that .Mostly every time it is brought to a vote , the people vote it down .Real conservatives do not support gay marriage . Real liberals do for the most part.. When the vote goes to the people , they vote it down simple as that .
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 Yes, I'm very well aware of the liberalism in the state of California. Most people vote for Democrats in the state pretty much every time. However, again, is California all of the United States? Why is it that when California passed prop 8 (narrowly, by the way), that somehow means that most of America doesn't support gay marriage? And also, is California the only liberal state in the US? What about Oregon, Washington, Illinois, New York, Rhode Island, Maine, Maryland, etc.?
GentlemanThunder7 6 months ago
@GentlemanThunder7 If liberal state such as California would not support it what makes you think the rest of the country would for the most part? Bring it to a vote any day any time this country as a whole would vote it down .
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 (1, cont.) Do you have any numbers of the different groups of people that voted in Prop 8? Did everyone in California vote in Prop 8? Do you have that information? (2) A recent Gallup poll showed that 53% of Americans support gay marriage. The same thing goes for a CNN and ABC news poll. While we're on Prop 8, by the way, a 2010 Fox News poll showed that 71% of Americans who took the poll believed it was unconstitutional, and as you know, Fox has a conservative leaning.
GentlemanThunder7 6 months ago
@GentlemanThunder7 53% of liberal Americans voted for it . Like you . FOx News hs more viewers then any liberal show on any of those liberal news channels . They would vote for sure against homosexual marriage and you know it . Stop hanging on to this liberal point of view . The rest of the country sticks to their Christian morals when it comes to homosexual marriage . Us Bible Christians know that homosexual actions are forbidden in the bible ,homosexual marriage shouldn't be up for debate
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 (2, cont.) That, along with the recent polls from Gallup, CNN, and ABC news shows us the unmistakable fact that the majority of Americans today support same-sex marriage. Going back to the poll results, however, you just call all of the people who supported same-sex marriage liberal, which is nothing more than an unfounded claim considering that some of the supporters were actually Republicans. Also, even if they are liberal, this is a representation of America as a whole
GentlemanThunder7 6 months ago
@GentlemanThunder7 Polls are polls and you take liberal ones of course .I explained poles to you before Pay attention . Liberal spin exists everywhere . Gay marriage would never be the vote for the country as a whole which means we have not completely lost Christian morals yet. America as a whole is against your view .
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 (1, cont.) When it comes to your arguments against my poll data, all you're doing is a logical fallacy: a circumstancial ad Hominem attack to be quite precise. When it comes to the polling data that disagrees with your position, you automatically dismiss it as liberal or biased, thus unworthy of credibility, even though you don't really show how these particular polls are biased in any way. After all, I gave you a poll from a conservative source saying the same thing as a liberal one
GentlemanThunder7 6 months ago
@GentlemanThunder7 My last message debunked your poll data story . I have taught you how to spin polls ,I said that all one can do is poll 1000 liberals lets say . you ask them liberal issues what do you think the turn out will be? FOX news ?what show and exact reference .
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 (1, cont.) That doesn't make any sense. While we're on California, it doesn't even make sense that you bring it up considering that California doesn't represent all liberals, let alone all the people of the United States. As far as the people collectively in the United States in support or lack thereof of same-sex marriage is concerned, it stretches over this wall of liberalism or conservatism and just focuses on one subject: either you support same-sex marriage or you don't.
GentlemanThunder7 6 months ago
@GentlemanThunder7 California is the liberal of the liberal and you know that .Doesn't make any sense? WEll if your homosexual (which i think you may be) your lifestyle according to people with Christian morals does not make any sense . GAy marriage supporters are liberal . Bottom line
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 (1, cont.) And even making California seem like a representation of all liberals in their opinion of gay marriage when MA, NY, VT, CT, and NH have accepted gay marriage as well being really liberal states themselves, not to mention that Iowa is a really conservative state and also allows gay marriage. This not only shows your example as California being this pinnacle for liberals to faulty but also shows your perception of conservatives to be just as flawed.
ScarletGhost4356 6 months ago
@ScarletGhost4356 30 states have voted it down end of story .True Conservative states do not vote homosexual marriage . Like I stated before True conservatives do not bend to liberal views such as aborition and homosexual marriage .
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 When it comes to the people as a whole in the United States, as I've explained before, it's beyond liberal or conservative, and at that point, it's just yes or no. You keep bringing up states, but we're not talking about states. We're talking about the people within the states; we're talking about the people in the nation as a whole, and as I've explained from my polls and from the fact that social liberalism is now in, more people support same-sex marriage.
ScarletGhost4356 6 months ago
@ScarletGhost4356 SPun Poles! History has shown us that poles mean nothing . BUsh was trailing Kerry in the poles up to Election night. WE know what the turn out was . GEt with it. You may be too young to remember Bush/ Kerry race if your not then grow up huh
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 (3) And then, back to Prop 8, you say it represents the people when it only represents the idealisms of the 27% of the people that voted, and from that, an even smaller fraction of the people who voted yes and made Prop 8 win by a narrow margin. Why should Prop 8 represent all of California when only 27% of people voted in it? (4) Yes, you explained how the spinning of polls works, now prove that this is what's happening with my polls. After all, Gallup interviewed Republicans too.
ScarletGhost4356 6 months ago

CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 (2, cont.) First of all, the amount votes for Prop 8 only succeeded by a very narrow margin: 52.46%. Yes, Prop 8 worked, but only through a close shave. Second, there is the population information of California and how many voted in Prop 8. In 2008, around 38 million people lived in the state of Califonia, and the total amount of people who voted in Prop 8 was 10,271,399. When you find that percentage, we see that the amount of people who voted in total was 27% of the population.
GentlemanThunder7 6 months ago
@GentlemanThunder7 and another thing, if you googled as I suggested you to, you would have seen that gay marriage was voted down by the voters in at least 30 states including Maine . Dont pull at straws just accept the fact your falling here .
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 (5) You also stated that 30 states in the past have voted down on same-sex marriage. However, the difference was that it wasn't on referendum as Califonia was. It was from the decision of government, and majorities inside the governming body change through the course of time, and even then, sometimes gay marriage becomes accepted. Just look at New York with the recent law on same-sex marriage through a Republican Senate.
GentlemanThunder7 6 months ago
@GentlemanThunder7 7 times really? Bottom line 30 states voted it down . Now I belong to a couple of forums besides going on this and maintain a blog among other things ,and I had to take the time out to respond to 7 of your comments ? really ? Stop crying facts are facts . You dont have logic or common sense to keep up with me . Stop crying and move on
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 (2, cont.) The Gallup poll, however, shows to be the more credible one considering it's a more scientific poll. These polls, by the way, were all from 2011, except for the Fox News one. If you'd care to post another poll saying that opposite of what I'm saying, I'll be more than happy to hear them.
GentlemanThunder7 6 months ago
@GentlemanThunder7 The fact that prop 8 was voted by the people and the people gave an obvious answer of no to homosexual marriage is enough for you think of some other liberal issue and admit loss on this subject . if the most liberal of liberals voted homosexual marriage down , (as I have pointed out before) if brought to a nation wide vote, homosexual marriage would for sure be voted down . End of story GAME OVER .
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 How do the people feel about gay marriage in THOSE states? And when has any other state placed the issue of gay marriage on referendum like California did with Prop 8 for you to say that the people (not the government, the people) always vote it down?
GentlemanThunder7 6 months ago
@GentlemanThunder7 Look The computer is a wonderful thing are u telling em you have not done your research on this before coming on? GOOGLE It . For some reason even after voting for a pro abortion candidate for president , they still hold on to their Christian morals when it comes to homosexual marriage I am confused as well here but anytime the people vote the Christian moral way it is pleasing to me and I am sure it is pleasing to God as well (Although who am I to say GOd is pleased ?)
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 You're right, I could look it up myself. In fact, I've read a book about same-sex marriage beforehand only recently. However, it's not my burden of proof to look that up because you're the one who's making the claims that the people really don't support this in any way whatsoever. You're the one who's supposed to know this because you're the one who needs to evidence for such assumptions. I haven't read about any other referendums, have you?
GentlemanThunder7 6 months ago
@GentlemanThunder7 Read the papers ? watch the news ? no research was needed . The matter of getting up and using the channel changer for me in this case . Now The people as whole have voted down gay marriage ,not all of the people mind you .
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 I've read about the other times that people have placed same-sex marriage through a vote in government, but only once did it go on referendum (Prop 8), where the people had a direct say in one state about the ordeal of gay marriage and all of them voted down against it. Also, a recent poll states that the majority of Americans support same-sex marriage.
GentlemanThunder7 6 months ago
@GentlemanThunder7What liberal CNN or MSNBC pole was that?Heres a tip:(write it down for I rarely give these ) Poles can be spun any way you like . For example I can purposely go to a known conservative area and ask 100 people about gun control ?How do you think the pole will turn out?I can go to a liberal area and ask 100 people about homosexual marriage ,how do you think the pole will turn out? Get my point? And if you pole a number of people who are unbelievers of God (morality is lacking)
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 (1) Again, is California the entire country? Do all liberals support same-sex marriage? Do all conservatives not support same-sex marriage? Are all the people in California political? You keep bringing this all back to California when it doesn't really represent all liberals in the country or even all of the people in the country whether they are political or non political in any way. What exactly is your knowledge of Prop 8? Do you know how many liberals or conservatives entered?
GentlemanThunder7 6 months ago
@GentlemanThunder7Again?The nerve!Unless you live under a rock(I am getting that impression,)you know that California is the most liberal of all.If they voted down gay marriage,What makes you think the majority of the Country would not do the same?I cannot name a single conservative that supports homosexual marriage .Most liberals support it.DO you know what Prop 8 even was ? Dont skip or spin here ok the fact remains that if homosexual marriage went to Nation wide vote it gets voted down.
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 (1) How do you prove that Califonia is the most liberal state of all? New York, Hawaii, Maine, and a couple of other states are really liberal too. Even then, by the way, that still doesn't diminish the fact that California isn't the entire United States or a total representation of all liberals in the United States. Do all liberals live in California? (2) Fox News has a conservative bias and the people who went on the poll provided by that channel didn't agree with Prop 8.
GentlemanThunder7 6 months ago
@Gentlemane San Fransisco is a biggie for starters.Arnold only got elected governor because of who he is that is all . Pot Plants . (you know about the legal growing there under certain circumstances) California is extremely liberal arguably the most liberal .(liberal Hollywood ever here of it)If they voted down gay marriage what makes you think the majority of the country who is not as liberal would vote for it?Its called common sense (dont pretend you dont have any because your stubborn.)
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 (1) I gave you a poll from Fox News saying the exact same thing from a poll in CNN and ABC News, and as you clearly know, Fox News has a more conservative bias, yet you state that it somehow has a more liberal spin to it. Speaking of which, it's one thing to say how something happens (as you've stated with the polling data) and another thing to actually prove that this is happening. After all, the information from the Gallup Poll had a survey of Republicans as well.
GentlemanThunder7 6 months ago
@GentlemanThunder7 LEt make this a little more clear since common sense is not in your strength area: Proposition 8 was up for vote in Cali .While the liberals voted for Barak Obama for president in that same area (knowing his stance on abortion ) they voted homosexuals right to marry down not forgetting their Christian morals completely . A Poll is a poll . Let me explain When W ran for re-election the poll on every channel had him losing to Kerry . What happened at vote time? Open eyes !
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 (1) It seems at this point, you really don't understand your own evidence about Proposition 8, so it seems. You keep going on about how Prop 8 shows to represent all of the people of California in their decision to repeal same-sex marriage when only 27% of the state voted in the referrendum in 2008 and even then, only a narrow margin of people seem to support the repeal. Yet, however, as small as the amount of people voting was, you still keep saying that it represents all of CA.
GentlemanThunder7 6 months ago
@GentlemanThunder7 really ? 7 comments ? Bottom line Prop 8 was a bad move for homosexual marriage and proved that the people voted it down further proving that they draw the line at gay marriage .(keeping their morals ) too late to cry about it the American people do not agree with you .
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 (This is GentlemanThunder7) (1) But you're not listening to what I'm saying. What you're trying to argue here is that the people of the United States in general will not accept same-sex marriage and using this one select, independent example where the vote was put on referendum and people voted it down. Again, is California all of the United States? Do the opinions of the people of all of the United States as a whole come from California?
ScarletGhost4356 6 months ago
@ScarletGhost4356 5 messages really? THE PEOPLE In THE USA WILL NEVER VOTE FOR homosexual marriage as a WHOLE. CALIFORNIA IS ONE OF THE MOST LIBERAL . MAIN VOTED IT DOWN AS WELL .
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 What of my information is flawed? Could you please explain that? What evidence you have that people nationwide state that most of them don't support same-sex marriage? What is your rebuttal against me?
ScarletGhost4356 6 months ago
@ScarletGhost4356 I think you know and have done your research enough to know that 30 states voted this down the people have spoken , take their vote away take the A out America away . IF California and Main can vote out homosexual marriage this would mean that even among the most liberal of the liberal they still keep their morals when it comes to homosexual marriage end of story
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 Is that all of your rebuttal? You didn't even acknowledge of the other statements I've made defending the polls (backed by conservative sources as well, including Fox News) I've used in order to back my opinons. You explained how these polls can be spun, but you haven't proven that the particular polls, including the one from Fox News, I've used were being spun in order to support some kind of liberal position. This implicitly means you have no argument for that.
ScarletGhost4356 6 months ago
@ScarletGhost4356 really 6 comments of the same bs , well lets the games begin ( you must be a real glutton for punishment ) I have educated you on how top twist a pole ,I wowed you all of the ins and outs on this subject .ANy more info on this I will have to charge lol . Yell FOX NEws you have not provided a date and show or youtube video of when this came out . My arguments stands Polls can be spun and a big example of that is the Bush / Kerry race
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 (1) If you're saying that my Fox News poll didn't have a date nor a reference, you obviously weren't paying attention considering that I gave you the title of the poll as well as the year in a previous comment, as well as the fact that it was from the main Fox News center, meaning that it was a conservative source. The fact that it comes from a conservative source really puts a hole in your "all the polls are twisted" argument, and shows us that it's more of a logical fallacy.
ScarletGhost4356 6 months ago
@ScarletGhost4356 FOX news also showed Kerry beating Bush but we know how that turned out . Some times without even meaning it so many people are polled that sometimes liberals out number the conservatives . Those who polled that agree with gay marriage are not conservative . Polls say nothing . The fact is that California voters voted it down end of story and there is nothing you can do about that .
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 What this shows is that you don't have any clear steering as to what we're arguing here because you keep bringing up the states, not the people and you don't understand your own evidence considering that some of it is irrelevant and you're using an isolated example in California to somehow try to represent all of the people that live in the nation, in addition to the fact that you don't have the ability to knock down my evidence presented. This means you don't win this argument.
ScarletGhost4356 6 months ago
@ScarletGhost4356 THe People as a whole keep their Christian morals when it comes to gay marriage and you know it . When it gets down to the moral issues like Abortion and gay marriage , the country as a whole will always vote it down .STop repeating yourself . really ? 6 times ?
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 (2) It seems like you don't understand the lines between liberal and conservatives from what I see. There's two ways you can be conservative or liberal: fiscally and socially, and based on that, it determines how far to the right or left you are. Take for instance John Edwards, the former senator from North Carolina, who was opposed to same-sex marriage, but he's still pretty liberal based on his other positions: abortion, Patriot Act, Iraq, no welfare service for churches, etc.
ScarletGhost4356 6 months ago
@ScarletGhost4356 From what you see its ok for someone to use their rectum to put another persons private in for sexual pleasure when it was intended to be used for bowl movement purposes so what you see really is discredited already is it not ? I of course am aware of conservatives in both ways .TEaching me lessons now are we ? Save it I already know son .No need to try and educate the teacher when your information is flawed along with your opinions .
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 And as I explained about Prop 8, only 27% of the people in the state voted in its support by a narrow margin. We're talking about the people here, and that encompasses all the people in the United States, not just California's 27%. Sure, California is really liberal, but if only a small amount of people are voting and there's just this even smaller amount that just barely gets a majority, of course California is going to get that passed. It doesn't represent all of the people.
ScarletGhost4356 6 months ago
@ScarletGhost4356 Bottom line gay marriage voted down in CAli can be voted down anywhere . Bring it to a country wide vote then forever voted down . END OF STORY
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 (2, cont.) Besides, this isn't the only poll that shows a similar trend. I have a whole list of them now, if you'd like. (3) About Prop 8 and the peoplewho voted in there, I'm not going to harp on that any longer. I've shown my point and proven it, and you still don't seem to understand the data, so I'm going to allow the viewers of this debate to decide for themselves whether Prop 8 was a good representation of all of California, let alone the entire United States.
ScarletGhost4356 6 months ago
@ScarletGhost4356 DOnt harp on something you lost in the first place . You proved no point the fact is that gay marriage and step to it lost on that night . You dont have the common sense to understand the free education I have given you . Stop wasting my time kid I got bigger fish to fry then a liberal who keeps drowning every time he comments . California is at the top of the liberal states . Prop 8 voted down gay marriage end of story and the liberals cried about it . (you still cry )
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 Except that most of the money that supported Prop 8 came from the LDS.. in Utah. Which means that there was underwhelming support from California voters until the 11th hour when the LDS poured 21 million dollars into pro-prop 8 advertising pandering to conservative blacks and latinos.
California is cool with Gay Marriage, and always has been.
ThePaulCynic 5 months ago
@ThePaulCynic When it came time to vote gay marriage at the time of prop 8 they kept their Christian morals
CAtholic29 5 months ago
@CAtholic29 Incorrect, they were lied to by the LDS campaign. They were told that if prop 8 passed, that their churches would be forced by law to perform gay marriages. Fear of government meddling with their beliefs is what drove many to the poles, and not anti-homosexual sentiment. A great many supporters even said they wouldn't care if not for this fact.
What amazes me, is that a 'morally righteous' leaders in any religion, such as Christianity, are willing to outright lie to achieve an ends.
ThePaulCynic 5 months ago

CAtholic29 3 months ago
@CAtholic29
Besides, if one thought it was fine to murder before the commandments, Moses would never have reached Sinai.
gamerunknown 3 months ago
@gamerunknown "You will find both of them are fake"says who you? THe Law of GOd is written on your heart kid and there is nothing you could do about it . "It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the bible " George Washington May 12,1779 CHECK MATE .GOt to go to work .
CAtholic29 3 months ago
@CAtholic29
If you google those phrases, they come up on fakequotes and wikiquote respectively with rationale for why and when they were faked.
gamerunknown 3 months ago
@gamerunknown WE all have known right from wrong . You know that . In a classroom of 32 everyone for the most part will have the law of God written on their hearts . Atheists lack morals but also lack care for the future as well. Was this a scientific poll you took ? The poor in spirit ? Why the question ?Anyone can put anything on wiki . i can put that Abraham Lincoln had a size 24 shoe and the next day it will say he had a size 24 shoe. Fake quotes ? edited by biased non believers? NICE TRY
CAtholic29 3 months ago
@CAtholic29
Appeal to popularity.
gamerunknown 3 months ago
wiki I already informed you is not reliable .
CAtholic29 3 months ago
@CAtholic29
Jesus didn't exactly say "give your money to priests" now, did he?
gamerunknown 3 months ago
The collection plate goes to bills.THe Priest gets little of it and is of course given room and board. The Preacher gets a home at times and a huge handful of money . Just ask Pastor ROn Carpenter of Redemption outreach in SC . THe priest sacrifice is much deeper then a preachers.Jesus commended the poor woman for giving more money then the rich in temple . Where do you think that money went ?(the old switcheroo)I will get the references for quotes for you this was just an off the cuff response
CAtholic29 3 months ago
@CAtholic29 (2, cont.) Then, there's also the fact that you're making this accusation on every poll that I bring up showing this trend of people more in support of same-sex marriage, even the one from Fox News, which has a more conservative proclivity, which shows your argument against my polling data to be iffy at best and the fact that you're saying that because the other sources are liberal, that means their information is not credible, which is nothing more, again, than an ad Hominem fallacy
GentlemanThunder7 6 months ago
@GentlemanThunder7 I gave you a very good education on the polls and how one can twist them . FOX News poll hmm? What branch . The main one or one taking place in a liberal area ? You are aware that affiliates may have polls in predominately homosexual areas right? LEts get a grip
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 (1, cont.) Yet you still toss it aside as liberal. Not to mention that the Gallup poll is one of the credible scientific polls in the United States today. (2) I really shouldn't have to look up this information for you considering that you are the one who used this evidence, thus you are the one with the burden of providing me with some resources, but nonetheless, I've looked it up. First of all, you're making it seem as if this big majority voted yes in Prop 8.
GentlemanThunder7 6 months ago
@GentlemanThunder7 Gallop Poll failed us all in the W-Kerry race did it not? No poll is fallable. When it comes to voting this country at times has proved to surprise I am sure there were polls on homosexual marriage before prop 8 was there not? Being in Cali it should have went overwhelmingly your way but it did not why ? because the people chose their moral;s in that area . Hey I have two homosexual cousins living their . No hate going on here just truth .
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 (1, cont.) Not every liberal support same-sex marriage; not every conservative goes against same-sex marriage. You're trying to represent the people collectively as a whole when you're only taking up this one isolated incident where the government put the matter up to the people's vote and it came out supporting a repeal in same-sex marriage law. (2) We then move on to your "debunking" of my evidence to my polls.
GentlemanThunder7 6 months ago
@GentlemanThunder7 Not every most liberals support gay marriage . If you are a real text book conservative you keep your christian morals and not support homosexual marriage . Bottom line 7 times ? really ?
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 (4, cont.) And now that I think about it, how would these polls be able to get all of this information about who's liberal or who's conservative? How would they be able to get that? Did you explain that? (5) As for the FOX News poll, it came from the main center branch.
ScarletGhost4356 6 months ago
@ScarletGhost4356 really 5 times ? Thats very easy to do , It takes work like having someone seek more wealthy neighborhoods and poor neighborhoods , race plays a part . How old are you? you should already know these things . You should put your head in books and newspapers and learn a little more before coming out here.
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 As I said before, we're not arguing what the government feels about same-sex marriage. We're talking about what the people feel about same-sex marriage, and although you bring up these many examples about all the times that same-sex marriage was struck down, there's only been one time in American history (from what I gather) where same-sex marriage was placed on the ballot, and that was in California with Proposition 8 in 2008.
ScarletGhost4356 6 months ago
@ScarletGhost4356 And what happened in Prop 8 ? exactly . Maine voted did they not? they voted it down as well . COme on I watch the news too kiddo . CAnt fool me .
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 (1, cont.) You told us how polls can be twisted, but never proved my polls in particular have been twisted in order to uphold some kind of agenda. When you bring up some groundbreaking proof that my polls had their results or methodology twisted in some way, come back to me. (2) You bring up the question about the Bush/Kerry 2004 election and how one of my polls (Gallup) was wrong. To that, I saw, bring me a poll that's always 100% correct all the time.
ScarletGhost4356 6 months ago
@ScarletGhost4356 It takes Common sense how polls work dont make me educate you once more on how this works . Most of the polls said Kerry was a lock in for president (how old were you then , you may not have been old enough to care . SO you get your info from past video ) A promise you that there are no polls 100% accurate . (common sense )
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 Then, coming to your evidence about the 30 states, well, guess what? New York once didn't accept same-sex marriage under a Democratic leadership, and now, under a Republican leadership were still able to pass same-sex marriage. Iowa, a really conservative state based on how many people vote Republican in the elections, passed same-sex marriage as well. States are moving toward gay marriage now slowly but surely, and there isn't only one way to be conservative.
ScarletGhost4356 6 months ago
@ScarletGhost4356 If CAlifornia voted it down then most would vote it down common sense son .
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 (2, cont.) So even if they are liberal, it's irrelevant, because they're the majority regardless. (3) However, back to Prop 8. You still haven't responded to my question as to the background information of the voters in Prop 8. How many people voted in Prop 8? What percentage of the state was that? What were their backgrounds? Do you have any supplemental information on Prop 8?
GentlemanThunder7 6 months ago
@GentlemanThunder7 Prop 8 was supported by the state as a whole .And voted for and against gay marriage . IF your able to check the so called poles you claim then your able to check the exact numbers . This is your stubborn here and your wrong obviously . You either lack common sense or your a homosexual with stubborn behavior . Homosexual marriage if brought to a vote today would be overwhelming voted down .You know it and I know it .
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 (2, cont.) 27%. That's not even a remote majority of the population, and even then, Prop 8 just barely succeeded. Your example of California really doesn't prove anything considering that it wasn't even the entire state or a close majority for that matter, and Prop 8 only barely succeeded.
GentlemanThunder7 6 months ago
@GentlemanThunder7 Prop 8 the people spoke end of story . Major blow to the homosexual liberal agenda
CAtholic29 6 months ago
@CAtholic29 (2, cont.) There's a difference between explaining that this is something happening to polls (and I don't doubt that this happens with some polls) and proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that this is happening with my polls. The main problem with your debunking is that you have the burden of proof to show that this is something occurring with my Gallup, CNN, ABC News, and Fox News polls about the people's ideas toward same-sex marriage. You've explained it, now prove it.
GentlemanThunder7 6 months ago

Slowly, people ARE starting to realize what Fox and other media outlets are all about... It's time for the News to be News again. 3 part solution: 1. Every channel must provide a 1 hour News program WITHOUT COMMERCIALS. 2. News programs should not be rated by any Ratings system. 3. All News Channels live by the same rules, but are "Pay TV" for revenues as opposed to advertising.

GentlemanThunder7 6 months ago
@agarcia2995

LOL!!

@Llortsaccount

You know Megyn Kelly is a lesbian. Don't hide it, Kelly. Embrace it. And get the fuck off that "news" station.

@TheCakeeISaLIEE Being gay isn't "normal", just less common. Being straight isn't "normal", just more common.
Having brown eyes isn't "normal", just more common. Having fair skin isn't "normal". Having kinky hair isn't "normal".
You are what you are. You can alter your appearance or demeanor to some degree; that doesn't make you any more "normal".
Being a hypocrite, a bigot or simply an obnoxious asshole is a CHOICE. The other things you'll have to live with, because they don't change.

TellingItLikeItIsSJM 9 months ago
@indiajesuslovesyou I love how you're quoting the bible here. In case you missed it, we're talking about the constitution here, not your book that people like you use to justify discrimination.
zeldismatic 9 months ago 2
@indiajesuslovesyou just so you know marriage didnt have its start with christianity. nor with juedaism. it was around long before those religions came about. so the christian idea that marriage should be defined as they do is bunk.. plenty of earlier religions accepted same sex marriage and plent of other cultures did as well. at least till christians and muslims stuck their nose in other peoples business. and christanity doesnt run the gov or the constitution which protects other beliefs
scorand 8 months ago
@indiajesuslovesyou not true, it was never established by god

Only heterosexual marriages can produce children! A gay couple can only adopt children produced from a heterosexual couple. Without heterosexual couples the races of all people would exterminate! God's design is one man and one woman relationship. His plan always works! Plans by man contrary to God's plan always fail! Constitution is a Christian document! However it does allow free exercise of all faiths because Bible says Love demands a choice. That is why we vote. Thankyou. James Sasse.

@indiajesuslovesyou Let me guess??? You don't believe in evolution and the Earth is only 6000 years old!! Right??
taz3001 11 months ago
@indiajesuslovesyou Marriage is about two people validating their love & entering a legally binding contract (according to the LAW). Where in the law pertaining to marriage does it even mention children? Children are a NOT a byproduct of marriage but of two people of the opposite sex. So again, what do children have anything to do with marriage?
MrFotp 11 months ago 2
@indiajesuslovesyou Sex is a byproduct of nature. That is why there is no reason to fear the extermination of the human race. The lust for straight sex is to strong in us. A small minority of people are born gay. There is no logical reason to be mean to them. It harms you none. As far as religion, well all religions have a shitty past when it comes to theocracies. 500 years of Crusades. During the plague, Xtians fearing it was a punishment from God started killing Jews.
Fishqueen1972 10 months ago 3

Thankyou. James Sasse.
indiajesuslovesyou 11 months ago

What i dont understand is why you even think that you have control over others "thoughts" about other people. Thats down right insanity. And megyn kelly needs to do some research before she makes utterly absurd comments about a ruling she didnt even read.
