  • "Progressive rock" just does not do justice to the massive talent of these guys.

  • jj ve seen the original in the 1971 th;

I wonder if this version is not even more beautiful than the eccentric who dates 1971

  • It's like those amazing acoustic arrangements to your favorites prog rock songs that some japanese guys would make, but made by the own musicians that created the song.

  • I wish I was there. Quite spectacular.

  • Trying to convert a friend to Wakeman, sent him the piano solo of "Close To The Edge" & was answered with a "Didn't hate it, not fav song, find Roundabout acoustic. GOT HIM!!! Awesome arrangement. & I'm ELPFan!

  • 最高!

  • I saw them at Hammersmith Apollo in Autumn 2011. They are quite simply amazing, Class always shows.

  • Great great great!!!

  • One of the best band preformances I have ever seen in St. Louis in the round an evening with yes mid 70's great!

  • 4:05 Trying to follow the solo by mouth, Steve Howe you're a true guitarist.

  • wow this arrangement is awesome

  • Steve Howe, a genius, seen him play for Asia (the band). Outstanding.

  • Yup it sure is, is this performance available on DVD anywhere

  • Is that Rick Wakeman on the keys?

  • @maxquad21 YES (it is)

  • @maxquad21 Anderson shout his name at 3:32

  • Steve Howe was one of a handfull of guitarists I learned from. His comfortable mastery of the entire fretboard is one of the things that distinguishes a world-class player. The synergy of playing with Yes lifted all of them even higher. Bravo (and Vaya, grin).

  • The long lost intro of "Roundabout".

  • One of the few bands who can pull off sounding better live than in a studio. When it comes to mastery of their craft, nobody had done it better than YES. It's an honor to be alive in their era.

  • ow ! fantastic!

  • Steve's intro was wonderful.

  • the best 58 secs of my life

  • I don't like the 'shuffle feeling' they added. I prefer the original album version and the old live versions.

  • That was pretty awesome....

  • You cannot complain about true musicians - Steve Howe is BAD - Justin Bieber is REALLY BAD

  • Cool daddy-o!!!

  • wow-timeless

  • @ogm32697

    "so old"

    please get a life

  • @FunHISTORYDOC Oh, you are just such a nice person. And don't tell me to get a life when the highlight of your day is posting stupid comments on music videos of people in their 60's and defending their age. To a teen, that is very old.

  • Full of key changes, chord progressions, time signature changes, just brilliant.

  • I attended Lakeland Community College in Kirtland, Ohio in 1971. So glad to read the comment that someone saw them there in 1973. Always heard that, but never verified by anyone.

  • Possibly the most underestimated band ever...

  • what , no organ solo ?!?!

  • QUE BRUTAL LE QUEDO LONG LIVE YES

  • This song is still amazing. Saw Jon live locally last year. You don't seem him performing with the orig YES team though these days. Sad. Brillant work they did!

  • Myself and a few friends saw Yes at the lakeland community college in Kirtland ohio in about 1973 or so,, the only thing built on the site was the gymnasium, no campus yet...what a nite

  • Acoustic-electric bass adds a sweet note -

  • I feel an indescribable amount of new found RESPECT for a band I already had a tremendous amount of respect for. EXCELLENT! Let me add "appreciation" as well! :)

  • I feel an indescribable amount of new found RESPECT for a band I already had a tremendous amount of respect for. EXCELLENT!

  • Holy Crap! That was incredible! Can you believe that there were seven people who hit the dislike button?

  • @Shepardwong1 those ppl that pressed the dislike button were the ones that found roundabout on rock band 3.

  • had

  • I never have imagined than a acoustic version can be so great!

  • Original YES members are the only ones who could pull off a different version and it be exceptional

  • One of my all time favorites....loved this version

  • so awsome

  • harg!!! i love yes ,but i hate this version !!!

  • Yes is a band that has comforted me since I was a 13 year old kid and have as well been a part of my spiritual and occult lifestyle for untold years into the past

  • @maitreyalux wat (last part)

  • Many/most of the old bands have lost their sound. Not so with these guys. Outstanding.

  • incredible, his voice still sounds so fresh

  • does anyone know where i can get sheet music or a tab for the intro steve howe plays?

  • @frizzlefry420oh its probably improv

  • Comment removed

  • Outstanding--better than the original by a ways.

  • Obviously should have been a Yes fan a lot earlier in life! This is awesome

  • it makes me feel so old like the great yes, time has given us all a good kicking to hear the guys sounding as good as ever makes me feel good just got to give this prostate a good kicking(lol).

  • steve howe is a guitar genius

  • That's why these and they are still loved. They have a passion for making music, and sharing it with world. They'll all be playing till they day they die.

  • @RockOfTheAges777

but not together :( , I would go see Jon if I had the chance but I would never go see the fake yes. Bruford and Wakeman could be replaced. The former was just a drummer even if hes probably the best drummer in the world, his true talent got unleashed in Crimson, and the latter was least replaced by the same genes, but Jon´s voice is to characteristic even though the other´s maybe don´t want to admit it, this voice is the hallmark of yes.

  • @1fisiu Huh?! "Just a drummer"? His sound can't be duplicated. And, don't even get me started on Wakeman. He does stuff with one hand that most can't do with two.

  • @nobodyhome8

What I mean with Bruford is that sure he is a great drummer, which I also stated, but however his work in Yes was by far worse than in King Crimson. Bruford was better off leaving Yes, I don´t think he acomplished anything special that White couldn´t do in Yes. Switching to Crimson was like someone removed shackles off of him. Wakeman is awsome and one of a kind, but for me it´s harder to replace a vocalist than someone playing an instrument esp if they are playing "covers".

  • @1fisiu I can't really disagree with you at all. I do think Bruford created some amazing time signatures that White may not have. I stopped listening to Yes for years and came back to them a few years ago (replacing my vinyl with CD) and my ears go right to the drumming. They're all great musicians, but I think their time signatures are vastly underrated by many. Anderson's voice sometimes doesn't resonate with me entirely, but he is the irreplaceable element to their sound, as you said.

  • That was AWESOME!

  • steve howe playing a very sweet sounding martin parlour size guitar. he has the best sounding acoustic guitars I have ever heard. perfectly tuned. I bet he keeps them in a cigar humidor.

  • Anyone know what kind of bass Chris is using? Looks like a Martin but i cant really tell since there is only 1 or 2 shots of him :(

  • I can't belive he kept his voice that high usually even if you take care of it, it lowers just because of age, if only Geddy Lee had the same fortune.

  • Great Band! AWESOME BASS PLAYER! There is only one Chris Squire!

  • It makes me happy to hear them play again and they look happy. Yet it saddens me to see us all age. They were one of the gifts of the 70's.

  • Damn , that was nice . thanks

  • I love the sound when Steve Howe sings along with his guitar at 4:05

  • His voice still sounds the same. WOW great.

  • Too bad the video isn't long enough to hear the applause ... Lord knows there must have been loads .....

  • I dig it...WOW thanks

  • That's incredible that his voice sounds the same still.

  • try to play any modern artist's music this way? If you can't break it down to the basic acoustic versions with all the pieces how can it be music.

  • @findyouahome i totally agree dude

  • One word , and one word only. BADASS

  • 6 bieber fans. yuck

  • Awesome!!

  • What a band. I've always wondered why they haven't gotten the attention that Pink Floyd has gotten. At their best, they are equally as great.

  • Just because your older and more mellow...does't mean can't ROCK !!! I think they are Still awesome....

  • haha jazzy version. still awesome

  • the way it should be the real yes and candles too !!

  • Mean ass drummer face

    2:32

  • AMAZING

  • wowowowow

  • YES, I LOVE YOU

  • wow!

the unplugged version is absolutely better than the studio version.

  • This stuff is utterly fantastic! Thanks for sharing!

  • Comment removed

  • Totally fantastic "unplugged" version of Roundabout! One of the best and most talented rock bands of all times. Yes!

  • This is why YES was who they were. Just great musicians. I have no idea when this was taped, however, it is my opinon they sound better than ever. To see them perform in a small setting doing a couple of hours of all acoustic would be a dream come true. In fact, they would probably sell out every venue doing all acoustic. Thank you for posting.

  • Thank you, razor. This is magnificent.

  • Anybody think Jon's voice is actually better than ever here?

  • @davedagreat69 he sounds great! you'll get no argument from me.

  • @davedagreat69 He's incredible isn't he??! This band never ceases to amaze me with their talents. I'll never see another like this in my lifetime! Fired up!

  • @davedagreat69 If you watch their «Soon» in 2002, it's basically the only live performance where he's always perfect!

  • @davedagreat69 He never did strain his voice, it remains phenomenal forever.

  • @davedagreat69 is even better than justin bieber's

  • @LowRider1500

That name doesn't deserve to be mentioned here.

  • @kaldemvor DX what have i done i have to be punished for my big sin

  • @davedagreat69 Yes we do!

  • @davedagreat69 actually he has some trouble with his voice. :S he's not singing with the band in this tour. and this is really sad because i november yes plays in my city, but i wanted to listen to jon anderson! :(

  • thank god he created YES!!!

  • Toe tappin rock and rolling, love it.

  • @2528 does anybody know when this concert was ? its fantastic !!

  • Wooooooooo! That's superb! Loved the original, got the albums, but this is stunning!

  • This is wonderful. I've always loved Yes. This is a pure distillation of the original essence in a 'softer' package.

  • Genius.

  • Wow. Nothing like it. these guys are pure legends.

  • The voice is still great. Not like many others that has lost it.

  • This is stupidly amazing, I almost drowned my keyboard in drool.

  • What a trip to see & hear them play acoustic!

(and all of them together) Masters ALL!

This is absolutely awesome, timeless, and classic!

  • 2:37 White looks pissed!

  • @TheSkateNJ Alan is just INTO IT

  • @TheSkateNJ thats his drummer face haha

  • what an intro... ***** for sure

  • skip to the 4:50 point and listen for about 20 seconds. That's what I woke up to this morning, but the drums/cymbals were really loud in that recording. The overall effect of this was like four alarm clocks raping an alley cat. The first day I didn't have my alarm set for something in weeks. Ugh.

  • bloody awesome lets see that bloody wanker justin bieber try this song. i bet he doesnt have balls to do it.

  • @captainshadowdreamer Who the fuck is Justin Bieber? Nevermind...I really don't give a shit...

  • @zcg3 just some satupid flavour of the month tye of stupid teen pop star.

  • What? No capes?!?! Awww.........

  • This is sweet! 2:37 is hilarious!

  • Please ! Post the video Long Distance Runaround

  • Wow!

  • I saw these guys in concert at the Beau Ravage in Biloxi, best fucking concert I had ever been to. Hands Down

  • Steve Howe was always my favorite, but after seeing this Jon Anderson is a close second.

  • WOW!!! Good Heavens, this is BRILLIANT!!!! What an incredible unplugged arrangement from perhaps their greatest tune ever. Way to go, guys! You don't just rock - you rock in any configuration!

  • Wow... Just plain wow. Yes thrilled me in my youth with their intricate musicianship. I thought they had gone the way of the dinosaur... My local radio hasn't played anything like this in years. Yet, I'm stunned at this. Raised the hairs on the back of my neck it did! As an aside... Thank you Steve, Alan, Jon, Rick and Chris. I'm inspired. I must go practice, since it ain't over yet!
