Awesome video! I'm a cadet volunteer firefighter and graduate next week! I'm so excited and wound up being the only girl cadet. We started out with about 21 men/3 women and now down to the last dozen. The training is very intense/pushes you past your mental and physical limits but very rewarding. I'm very passionate and am looking forward to helping out in anyway I can. Bless you all-Career and Volunteer-men and women-Be safe!
I have all respect for FF, thats b/c I watched them put out my house when I was 6 and ever since then I had wanted to be one of them. So as my 16th b-day passes I deside to volunteer and I got the papper work done. Then my dad told me that he will not allow me to volunteer b/c he dosent want me to waist the gas going from my house to the station all the time. I think that, thats just BS, and he is a police officer so he should know why I want do do this. But I still go to tranning in January.
Good for you man. My parents weren't too hot about the idea, but they have learned to grow on me. Right now I'm a 19 year old undergraduate engineer with mod-1 and National Registry First Responder. I volunteer not for the money (or the lack thereof), but because I like to be able to help people. Good luck on your schooling.
@FedEx1126 Dude i know how you feel. I'm a sophomore in college, but firefighting is the only thing i ever want to do in life. I hate school, but i'm doing it in case i get hurt and to set myself apart and move up in rank. in the long run it's not bad. Try going to school spending thousands of dollars on stuff you aren't interested in at all and know what you want to do. We'll get there
we feel the pain for a while we lost a to year old girl at a fire and me and a nouther firefighter tried to save her but couln't and i still feel the pain i have five kids and its hard to for get the pain
i lost a brother in 03 we feel the pain but we stay on our truck too many ppl need us and if you are a real firefighter you really want it and nuthing will keep you down bottom line.........respect the fallen work harder
if we dont go on then they died for nothing so we take a moment at the end of the day then brush it all off and press on as hard and as best as we can
The Fallen expect us to go right back in a try again. We are only human and it's important to remember that. Take the time to grieve and cry, their souls will watch over us. We fight the devil on his playground, but God is always by our side as we battle the flames.
Great vid. Like NDNHULK said we all feel the pain. The difference between us and others is that we get right back in it. Because if we get hung up in that one loss we might loss another, or even our own.
yeah we feel the pain of the loss of a fallen brother but we get up brush the tears away knock the smoke from our suites and pick up our ax and get back to work MAY WE NEVER FORGET THE FALLEN CHEROKEE FIRE DEPARTMENT

Please work a bit more on your schoolwork before you become a firefighter.
