He does actually say in his autobiography that despite the annoyance of being cancelled on what seemed to be a hit show there was a slight sense of relief when Brisco was canned as he found a tough shoot.

AWW i loved that show as a kid, T_T why did they have to cancelled it, it had good ratings!!!!
