  • The insurance companies actually have a pretty sweet deal; they cherry-pick from the healthy at a premium while medicare and medicaid absorb the riskiest portion of the population. FedEx and UPS compete with the USPS, and they do it very well, at good profits. I do not trust the health insurance companies AND support a public plan option.

  • USPS is running HUGE deficits as is EVERY other gov't run program.

    Government is NOT the solution, it's the problem!

  • How do you explain re rescission ? This is the way health insurance companies reduce risk and maximize gross profit. What market force do you know would stop health insurance companies trying to minimize risk by doing rescission, and by denying coverage? I truly believe in free markets, but this is a VERY particular case.
