  • i think that the inrterview shot was poorly framed

  • Not only poorly framed but also not horizontal.

  • nice advice thank you!

  • Thankin you very helpful!

  • love it good tips on how to tape lines

  • can even put a transparent plastic sheet..on tv and draw lines with a sketch pen..coz i dont like rubberbands

  • kool. I have an option on the camera for this and leave it on most of the time.

  • That's a handy feature to have! My only fear would be overuse. Anymore I intentionally don't use the guides that often, so I don't rely on 'em when someone thrusts a crappy camcorder in my hands for a shoot :-D. Still, it's generally a good idea to use em if you got em! :-)

    Thanks for watching!

  • I already knew this rule, but people like jim make things so simple. the rubber band thing was pretty innovative!

  • Thanks so much! (And thanks for subscribing, too!)

  • this is a nice guy! knows what he is talking about too!

  • This man needs more KFC

  • >:( Jim is cute!

  • KFC

  • Thanks Jim!

  • Nice

  • Great Tip

    Thanks

  • No problem!

  • Rubber bands huh? Never thought of that!

  • Yep, there are lots of little tricks like that to make life easier :-)

  • Cool. Can I have that camera? Please?

  • Absolutely, TJ. Just send me $1800 and I'll get right on that! :-D

  • Thanks Ash. I appreciate it!

  • Cool!

  • Thanks!

  • GREAT idea, Jim! And so short, that it is no "trouble" watching! Well done - and a great tutorial!

  • Thanks so much. Hopefully I can stick to my time limits! LOL!

  • I'm having a really hard time doing that lately too! LOL!

  • I remembered learning about this in photography classes, great tips!

  • Thanks!

  • Wow .. great tips ... thanks!!

  • No prob Jinxie!

  • Great idea and excellent title!!!

  • A great tip for a tekkie illiterate (me)! I won't miss any of your videos! Thank you so much for doing this! You are a fantastic person!! I am sharing this with my friends!

  • i have often attempted this rigid discimpline. we seem to be going in opposite directions, my friend. please participate in my Longest Vlog Ever! thanks.

  • I shall do as you ask. Thanks for watching! :-D

  • Great, a tasty little brain bite as opposed to the overly lllooonnnggg videos I have been making. Thanks for the tip.

  • Little bites are better sometimes, I think :-D

  • Reminds me of my Quick-O-Flicks. The difference being you follow a time constraint and I follow a number of takes constraint. =) Cool idea though. =)

  • I didn't realize you had clips like this till you mentioned it. Now I've gone and watched all your uploaded videos. Good stuff! :-D

  • I originally was going to have the QFs as short videos, but I tend to talk like a professor and cover all the bases too much, so QFs are videos that were quickly put together in response to a specific topic, as opposed to a full show on something. =) Thanks for watching. Check out TechAnvil's videos too for more generic computer stuff. =)

  • That WAS awesome!

  • Thanks Shayne! I appreciate it!

  • Really good concept Jim. People interested in knowing more about this particular idea should look up the 'Golden Ratio' or 'Golden Section'.

  • Thanks Greg! You made a great point that I totally forgot - these 1 minute videos will only scrape the tip of the iceberg on some subjects. It's a great idea to add some info in the video description to point people to where they can get more info. Thanks! :-D

  • This is a great idea, Jim. I know a lot of people will appreciate you doing this. I certainly do. Good job.

  • I'm glad you enjoyed this. I do hope it can be a useful series. thanks for watching! :-)

  • Short, focused, great. Thanks for the tip.

  • I'm glad I was able to keep it short! I have a tendency to get long-winded (as you've seen!) Peace!

  • Jim, that was a great video. Good info. Thanks

  • No problem :-D

  • very cool tip - thank you.

  • No problem askmisscris. Glad you liked it! :-)
