  • baby rats look so shiny and new! <3

  • watching all these jorat videos makes me want to get my own rats,

  • They are so cute. I wish I could have more rats.

  • Mine mine mine mine... <3

  • Can you breed a dumbo and a fancy together? Im not going to breed my rats but i always wondered if it was possible.

  • @KassandraMorseME fancy rat means pet rat so dumbos are also fancy rats. All rats can breed with each other. Dumbo, rex, tailless, hairless are only types, they are all rattus norvegicus.

  • @KassandraMorseME Thats awesome :)

  • dude, i gotta stop watching all those rat video's, it's too cute...

  • "How do you play with rats?" Answer: Barely! They go a mile a minute! :) What cuties!

  • ah! my worst nightmare!

  • PINCH EMMS

  • Love how they interact with the camera.

  • I have a question. I've had one rat, Izabell and she warmed up to me very quickly, even though she was my first rat. I recently got another as a companion for her, Sachi and she wants nothing to do with me unless I have treats... I've had her for 2 1/2 weeks I think but I can't take her out for longer than 10 minutes before she gets so scared she pees on me. How do I make her warm up to me like Izabell?

  • @ToxisGrey Try giving her tidbits in the cage instead of trying to take her out. She feels safe there, when she starts coming to the front of the cage when you go to it start putting your hand in front of the door then start placeing the treat farther and farther up your arm. Its a fun little game I invented when my rat Lyric was to shy. Another thing you can do is let your other rattie be the example. Rats follow so she will start to trust you through her.

  • This is pretty funny, babies don't like being held but they want to know every thing your doing... curious little buggers :3

  • Blimey! rats don't need coffee! They're hyper enough as it is! Man I love babies, they're just crazy. :) *sigh*

  • my rat is just getting up hes o cute with his little yawn lol he wants out

  • just adorable!

  • How did you make that little area?

  • 1:40 buddies

  • This is gorgeouss, my babies are exactly like this :)

  • LMAO! 0:22 - 0:25

  • ps, even treats like their fav, a cooked whole egg don't geth them out... Need some patience They'll come out some day ;;; they ARE curious with everything except the condo , haha

  • got mine three weeks ago (2 sisters, betty and luna), They come to see when I put my hand in the cage, now I've been letting the door of their cage open for two days and they'll wont come out... they just run around and sniffle on the outer top of the cage and stay for a few minutes nad get back in right after, I've buid a ramp with wooden shelf with a towel on it

so it wont slip but NOPE... no chance

  • @phenixdeluxe1980 dont worry they will come out! 2 weeks is a normal time :) sometimes just let your hand near them, dont move and let them sniff it, they will get used to your smell and not fear you.

  • hehe just what rats need coffee ^^

  • awesome! i love your videos

  • Which is better a fancy or dumbo?

  • All domesticated rats are fancy rats.

Dumbo means the ear placement, they have bigger ears.

  • Hey! I have a few questions for you, Do thoses plastic run about balls stress rats out because I wanted to buy one for sophie and Oliver, but I wasn't sure

  • If you do use them, you would need to use the mega size ones. It's not really recommended for rats, I use them as a nesting area.

  • I have two rats.

The one I had first, Houdini, was SO easy to get comfortable around me. He is so outgoing- like a little dog. I noticed he started getting a little depressed, I thought he was lonely. So I got him a friend. The new baby, that i've had for a month, I named him woodstock (the city in wich harry Houdini became famous) and I can't get him to come out. I found him yogies, he LOVES them. When he comes out of the cage, he wants nothing to do with me, so I let him explore. What do i do?

  • Exploring is good for him too. But he may need extra socializing.

When I have new rats, I always pull them out of the cage several times a day and keep them with me, put them down my shirt so they get comfortable or keep them in your hoodie.

  • The problem is, when i pick him up, he literally freaks out. I put him down becuase I'm afraid he'll jump and hurt himself.

He doesn't seem to want to be held. What i discovered yesterday is I sit down on the bed with him, and put down a big towel. He just runs around in the towel with Houdini and seems pretty happy. He crawls on me, in search of yogies, but won't let me hold him. sigh...

  • Oh I see... I've got a few like that, they just have this phobia about being held. At least they have fun and are happy ratties otherwise.

  • oh god.

So you're saying there is no cure? He still real little... and he just started coming out of the cage. So there is still hope,,, hahaha.

I've had 7 rats, so Woodstock is my 8th, and Woodstock is also the youngest rat i've ever had...

  • If he's still young then yes, there's still a chance that he'll come out of it. :)

  • whoopwhhoop!

    He's 2 months. :D

  • I love the black one at 1:03 - 1:14, its like "Uh, cup, camera, cup, camera. I just can't decide!" Lol, its adorable :D

  • and there r rats that need rescuing

  • cuz they breed not that far away from being born :/

  • So cute!!!!

  • What is the best way to introduce a breeding pair? I'm very anxious to know, I always want the best for my ratties. =)

  • If you want the best for your ratties then please don't breed!!!!

  • Why is that? I'm only breeding once, and I have several friends who are way more than happy to have one of their pups!

  • I'm not going to comment on breeding rats, but I would like to say this: ask anyone who knows rats well, they'll all tell you that it's VITAL that rats are kept in pairs or more. So make sure those friends are happy to have at least 2 each :P

  • Don't breed.

There are so many other rats in need of homes and rescuing, bringing in more of thme is far from the solution.

Neuter every dog and cat you have, and DON'T breed you're rats. D:

  • I totally agree, all my rats are rescues and all my females get spayed. This group of rats, I picked up mom and her young litter from a high kill shelter.

  • So YOU didn't breed them? She allready had had her babies? Good. hahaha. I thought you might have bred them.

  • Her babies were 2 weeks old when I rescued them.

  • Do you find homes for all the babies or keep some? (:

  • With this rescue, I kept 3 babies and my sister took the other 4.

  • jorats,do you breed rats? and if you do how exactly do you toilet train them? btw your rats are cute =] ^_^

  • No, I rescue them. :)

  • well i think that is exceptionly kind well done =)

  • heh I see your rats trying o steal your coffee too, my rat Eve..I know rats cant drink it but when am at computer she wants out I let her run around on my desk (I do block it) I looked away for sec I heard sound of laping she was drnking my coffee and I was like hey! thats mine!..Yes..I will eat after my rat..more then people...I have shared a whole apple with her then doesnt want a rest I will eat it...I do that all my rodents..but wild ones..heh in my life time

  • I noticed you have a litter box in the corner. Are the babies all litter trained?

  • Oh no... there is no training babies. lol They are poop machines at that age. lol It's best to wait till they are about 3 months old.

  • O_O SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You are a fantastic rat owner! Your little ratties are absolutely gorgeous! ^_^

  • tim horton's coffee! lol thats funny

  • All depends HFXGRAFF, I have had a loner rat that will not mind a newbie while some males are loner rats and can be agressive. however the younger the rat you introduce the better the chance the older male will accept and the younger male will submit to the older males leadership.

  • PERFECT :) I have 9 rats right now and Love them very much amd in search of a white one though, most of my rats are dumbo accept three. My oldest is 4 years old and still very active. Just love them. thanks for posting.

  • I have a year old rat male that i adopted. he has never been socialized with any other rats is it to late to get him a friend?

  • I will never keep a lone rat. I do everything possible to get them a buddy and that includes having them neutered.

  • I bet they've all grown up to be such lovely crazy fuzzy's. They sure lavished the attention in this video so its a sign they've been raised real well. n.n

  • The music is absolutely PERFECT. If it was not composed with wiggly baby rats, soft tummies and vibrating noses in mind... it should have been! LOL. That is the babyrattiest piece of music ever. Rat Rave. BANANAS FOR DESSERT!

  • babies rat & coffee!!! hahahha now you are just asking for trouble! great family

  • OMGGGGGG im gonna take one is that alright with you lol

  • After the mom mates how long untill she has babies?

  • very very cute..i have 9 ratties currently and am adopting three 6 week old babies this saturday..all of my kids are rescues and i wouldnt go any other way..breeding is overrated and unneeded with so many rats beign dropped at rescues and animal shelters

  • I love you!

  • rofl i am happy you approve of what im doing..i guess im kind of an un official rescue of sorts, taking in the unwanted and abused..my roommate supports what im doing..and i am hoping one day to be able to afford a FN cage or two...its my dream to have those cages for my kids

  • cool video so cute i have twi rat i have had them a coupe of weeks now and they seem ok around my but i am too paranoyed to let them out like that i was wonering what u made that wall out of???

  • It's called coroplast. It's a corogated plastic, mostly used to make signs, like election signs. I buy mine at Home Depot and cut to size. It works great!

  • okay thanks it will help loads

  • i was just wondering...if you have two rats and one dies, what happens to the remaining one...does he just go into depression for the rest of his life? how do you deal with that?

  • A rat should have buddies so I would get the lone rat another rat and with proper introductions they should be best pals before long.

  • my boys love to play with the little paperbags you can get in the bakery

it's so much fun to watch that^^

  • 0:35 sooo cute, just want to kiss the little guy :)

  • Hey What age Were those little babies!!! and were did you get the wall that gose around the outside and what is it???

    Thanks!!!

  • Those babies were about 4 to 5 weeks old. The wall is coroplast. It's a corogated plastic usually used for signs. I get mine at the Home Depot. They come in 8' x 4' so I can cut them to size.

  • oooo FUN! that looks so FUN!

  • AHH How cute! I remember all the crazy babies, sniffing and going everywhere with the attention span of 10 seconds. I miss those days. Please keep up the videos so I can enjoy the beautiful babies you own. =)

  • cotton:"The only thing that let it down was the awful music!"

oh no no no. the music was the one element that took this video from good to golden. awesome acid-y triptastic techno musiq.

i just wish the video was half your baby rats and half your older (equally adorable) pack. maybe in the next one...a "best of" perhaps?

  • in the beginning, 8 seconds in, I LOVE those two rats! I want them! They're too cute!

  • caffeine for baby rats...are you nuts..were they doing back flips after that!! i gave one of mine "old" fellas some and he seemed hyper after that..just the boost he needed

  • lol!! the cup was empty.

  • Great video, those rats are so delightful with so many different colours. The only thing that let it down was the awful music!

  • Rat babies are CRAZY! Healthy, bad, crazed rat babies. Gotta love to be annoyed with 'em!

  • I could just KISS them ALL! (LOL!) ~Tammi~

  • aaaww....!! i miss when my babies were babies.

  • They get bigger so quickly!

  • So adorable! I love rats! I wish I had one...hehe

  • That's just way too cute for words.

They are little timmy hoes freaks are they? :P They seem to be chewing on that cup going "where's my free doughnut!?" (That is a free doughnut on that cup right? or am I just crazy lol)

  • Right on! A free donut!

  • the little dumbo with the pink dip on its tail is the cutest thing ever :D

  • I just love your videos! I love the little dumbos, the solid grey one and the one with the stripe on his face. What are all their names?

  • The mom is called Prue, the babies are Fleur, Milene, Minou, Jozelle, Sara, Shep, Cara, Julia, Winter, Noodle and Sunny.
