When I decided to play a musical instrument I was unsure about which one, among trumpet and sax, was to prefer: for a whole week I dreamt John Coltrane coming to me; he descended from Heaven completely pale dressed and gave me his flaming tenor. I decided then to start playin' sax and, in a year, I was able to arrange the first minutes of "Giant Steps" (then I had to stop, because it's a master piece); chances of life forced me to stop playing, but still, when I hear JC I've got goosebumps.
