@thecoltster1 thats because skateboards dont weigh as much as a mountainboard and theyre trying to get more momentum to be able to go off ramps. but skateboarders are starting to lose style though because everyone does the same thing. theres not much else that can be learned. its all old now so people are learning new things like mountainboarding and longboarding and that makes them not have a defined style.

dude check out the website dakitez . com, they have a decent starter board for 170, and the bindings, tires, hubs, are high quality parts, so if you stick with it youd only have to upgrade the deck and trucks

you guys if you love the art form of snowboarding i gurentee you'll love mountain boards you can get that carve like you do on the snowboard , but you can do this bassicly all year
you just jump because you have a binding that goes over your foot. you can take your feet in and out, or if you prefer you can use heelstraps to keep your feet in more securely... hurts more when you fall but i reckon its worth it
takes alot more skill and dedication than skateboarding, the fact that your feet are strapped to the board makes it worse and more intense, skateboarding is a fair sport but you'll spend a year doing it and probs be able to just about make all the basic tricks. with mountain boarding its alot more simple but harder at the same time, tricking on a mountain board when starting off is the easiest part of it but its the tweaking and rotations which make it so hard to grasp

depends on weight and strength of the board, my board is an average light wood board with a simple make tires and it cost me £100 which is an alright board to start off with, but when you get into the heavy duety tricking and freestyling , your looking and an extreamly light and plastic type board which brake more easily than wood but are better for tricks. main thing to aim for is: when you carry with 1 hand, after about 30 seconds is your arm uncomfortable, if yes then change it
hay, i live in florida, and guess the only place i can mountainboard, a skatepark. sometimes you have to take advantage of what you have, and perfect it.

if you know anything with longboards, then you could say one is a speed board and the other is a more well rounded style of board. dirtsurfers are heavy. and doing freestyle tricks are tough. if not impossible for some. but they can really fly! if your looking at doing alot of freeriding the dirtsurfer may be good. but if you want to do alot of stuff, then go mountian board.

I tried a mountainboard out my first time 6 or seven years ago...I personally skateboard, but still, I am sure I can easily transition into a mountainboard. Where can I purchase one? I don't see em' in any skate shop at all...

takes alot more skill and dedication than skateboarding, the fact that your feet are strapped to the board makes it worse and more intense, skateboarding is a fair sport but you'll spend a year doing it and probs be able to just about make all the basic tricks. with mountain boarding its alot more simple but harder at the same time, tricking on a mountain board when starting off is the easiest part of it but its the tweaking and rotations which make it so hard to grasp

depends on weight and strength of the board, my board is an average light wood board with a simple make tires and it cost me £100 which is an alright board to start off with, but when you get into the heavy duety tricking and freestyling , your looking and an extreamly light and plastic type board which brake more easily than wood but are better for tricks. main thing to aim for is: when you carry with 1 hand, after about 30 seconds is your arm uncomfortable, if yes then change it

if you know anything with longboards, then you could say one is a speed board and the other is a more well rounded style of board. dirtsurfers are heavy. and doing freestyle tricks are tough. if not impossible for some. but they can really fly! if your looking at doing alot of freeriding the dirtsurfer may be good. but if you want to do alot of stuff, then go mountian board.

skateboarding sucks tiny dick... all you can do on a skateboard is little skate ramps. they cant do shit because the wheels are diddy... they can barely use pavement without falling off... im a semi professional downhill mountainboarder and my highest speed downhill is 67mph... try that on a skateboard and youll simply die ....... btw if this gets thumbs down then obviously skaters are watching this and shiting themselves because mountainboarding will be new celebrity.... fuck you skaters
