Americans go on about 'big government' and turn a blind eye to the $68,747,203,000 they spend every year locking up shoplifters? Even Europeans aren't that stupid.
This documentary seriously just blamed a chair for killing people. It is easy if you get arrested dont act like a dumb ass so you dont have to go through all this.
they are there as punishment not for punishment. Having removed them from the community and negated the danger /nuisance they should be treated and taught ow to be a decent member of society. Of course there is always the cases where there is no redemption and they need to be kept there for life but having done that there is no reason to abuse /mistreat them further. That Sheriff is a criminal.
Why are mentally ill persons being housed in unsuitable and uncaring environments. This Sheriff is famous for being hard on criminals but sick people are only guilty of being ill. This Sheriff is also famous for wanting to reduce budgets for housing criminals so what better way than to put the ill in secure hospital where they can receive appropriate treatment.
Joe Arpaio, if you ever read this, contact me, i'd love to meet you. Let's see how tough you are outside of the county jail walls, you little bitch. I have no criminal record, but in your case, i'd be willing to make an exception. You will cry for your mother and defecate all over the place once I get finished with you (mentally and physically).
