  • i have been on a actual freefall. which you sit in this harness and they bring you up in this platform and they lower you down and then snap and they drop you about 200ft and they is nothing keeping you in

  • iv been on it here but not in dorney yet and this ride is alot more beast than it looks

  • The drop seems like it would be similar to Tower of Terror at Disney World... Is it?

  • its at dorney now bitches!

  • this is not real free-falling >< you are in a seat with stuff to keep you in. That's not free-falling.

  • @missbassoon1992 look at how dumb you are

  • cooooooooooooooooool man

  • You should say... "The only oldschool out-dated freefall ride still in operation"

  • R.I.P Demond drop. :( 8-(

  • @knexbox360 It didn't die.

  • @CEDARPOINT1998 I know but it wont be at cedar point anymore. They oved it to dorney park 8-(

  • sounds like the woman laughing on fat kid falls off roller coaster...

  • thy didnt remove it it was there last summer

  • @jub986 yes they did.

Demon Drop is now at Dorney Park in Allentown, PA

  • @shiningstars109 i know im riding it at dorney tommorrow

  • @SamLikeCrazy No you're not. It's not open yet(:

  • @shiningstars109 I know i was mad they said it was on the radio.

  • Demon Drop is NOT AT ALL the only true free-fall ride.

In fact, it uses old, obsolete technology and is the ONLY free-fall ride of it's type that is still operating in North America.

With modern free-fall rides, the entire ride tower is completely vertical and magnetic brakes are used to bring the gondola to a stop at the bottom.

Because of this, Cedar Fair has now removed Demon Drop from Cedar Point and moved it over to Dorney Park.

Hopefully CP will now build a modern type FF ride.

  • Love her laugh

  • 0:24 she looks like she is having an orgasm

  • lol look at the ladies face at the drop

  • You should try Hurakan Condor, its in Port Aventura, Spain. its 329 feet high (100 meters) with 283 feet of total free drop. It's really scary, but it rooocks :)

  • its not the only, but it does rock!

  • I went on this ride a week after i had a baby.LOL i kno right but it was the last week it was open for the year and the first time i got on this ride!it was fun getting on it again in a week when i the 17th

  • i rode that won june of 08 never riding it again it was fun but scary

  • I get what he's saying about this being a true freefal ride because especailly now since it was the only left of his kind and he now dismantled. SAD Newayz on this ride...the car is literally drop so the wieght of its passengers and the car itself gives a even greater falling sensation, where as with power towers...the same cables that propel the car up the tower is the same mechanism that controlling its speed back down..there for its not as freely dropped as Demon Drop

  • good camera quality and it the praking lot looks packed!!!

  • ok i posted the video response. the video i posted is a true free fall. you fall 160 ft into a net below nothing attached. that is a true free fall.

  • great ride, kinda painful, but a landmark to the Cedar Point skyline for sure

  • wow i prolly would have cryed if i ever went on that ride lol i freaked out on like 25 ft down time ride at lake compounce lol!!

  • Don't worry I would've too xDD

  • Does anyone know when Cedar Point got this ride? Rocky Point Park in Warwick, RI had one exactly like this when it was open, then the park closed down in 1996 and the rides were auctioned off.

  • They got this ride in 1983

  • Okay thanks. Then this can't be the only freefall ride like this, as the OP said.

  • there was one at geauga lake but they demolished it in 2005

  • THAT GUY SCREAMS LIKE A GIRL!

  • this is a great ride but i think power tower gives you more of a free fall feeling lol

  • i hate deman drop well it doent help when i had to pee lol

  • It is the only kind in america and it's been on sale for 3 years[Since 2005]

  • No, it's not the "only kind in America", there are hundreds like it in the US alone. Not to mention, many more that are better. here are the hundreds of drop/launch towers across the world that are built by S&S Power. You don't even need to look outside of CP to find a good example of one of these, that one's called the Power Tower.

  • Power Tower, RipCord? nice ride tho

  • wicked twister, dragster, and anything that falls straight down is a free fall ride!

  • Not everything that has a straight drop is considered a "Freefall ride". Wicked Twister and Top Thrill Dragster are classified as roller coasters and not freefall rides.
