I had the privilege of attending a Jim Malcolm house concert 4 years ago in Portland Oregon, and have made time to see him every year since. I'm looking forward to this year's tour! I can't explain or express how his voice just reaches out and touches something in me. I enjoy music, but rarely does a performance move me like his do I'm hoping for my favorite song.
There's nothing quite like being some ten feet away from the redoubtable Mr. Malcolm singing this lovely rendition in the cozy comforts of a living room full of appreciative aficionados. Have seen Jim twice at house concerts here in Austin these past two years and am better for it! And this is a truly moving, bittersweet arrangement of Burns' paean to bidding bye to days past!
Must be some king of good omen. Looks like I am the first to view this. Loved it all. The Vancouver and BC pics were great and I also loved the tune and lilt if that is how you spell it. Thanks alot great way to think on this last year which was scarry in many ways but still had lots of signs of hope for the future and turn our head to the future with our soul train loaded from our foundation.
