@TheSoccershorty20 - this method of foot movement is taught by most Karate schools. He does down blocks the whole kata, where the method I was taught it's three down blocks, three middle blocks, two high blocks. but however he was taught right!!!
This is either Taikyoku Shodan or Nidan form Gichin Funakoshi. It is impossible to tell which kata it is as all of the punches are done at that indeterminate shoulder height that all youtube black belts seem to punch at. I have never figured out why you should punch the shoulder. If it is shodan, then the punches should be at solar plexus level; if nidan they should be aimed at the top lip.
When he goes to step he moves his leg inside than out. This is not the correct way how to step because it puts you off balance. Just something I noticed.
It's to me is a SAJU DIRUGI (in the FIRST BASE) from Taekwondo. In the Taekwondo the white belt have the Saju and more 3 bases. It's the first base! Para mim isso é um SAJU DIRUGI (na PRIMEIRA BASE) de Taekwondo. No Taekwondo o faixa branca tem o Saju e mais 3 bases. Isto é a primeira base!
@BboyDiviles no its not first time I saw this kata i thought how different it looked compared to tkd pattern 1 coz it involved greater stances and more area.
It is for the most part pinan 1 of 5 in Kenpo taught to beginners for a foundation to more advanced kata. I have seen this done in a few variations but this is kenpo.... as for the stance, the rule in Te is shoulder width wide and one an one half shoulder stride, this varies in style. shotokan is even wider like above and isshin-ryu more narrow
US styles hing mostly on Jap/Okinawan styles of kenpo/kempo and karate so what u see is only a matter of interperatation and should only be judged on the form being completly wrong or not. meaning the wrong step. if you dont know his style you can't critique his stance, however he does lack enthusiasim and strength
I think that if you review it a little closer, when he is Right-Foot forward in the Zenkutsu datchi that his stance is a little wider than when left-foot forward. His stance is a little inconsistent and yes IS too wide when right-foot forward as the long forward stance should be approx shoulder-width
sensei says i am improving on the kata

Isn't weird to open left right and then to close by pulling your left foor to your right foot?
For a black belt I would say you have a lot of mudana Iroki= unneccesary movement
Looks an awfull lot like Kyokushin Taikyoku No 1

Are you sure this isn't WTF TKD style? I recognize it. I have done it myself and I studied WTF TKD style. If it isn't it looks awful familiar?!

Poor form for a black belt. For training purposes, you should be strong and focussed as possible.

He has 1 problem in there. He is bending his back leg. That's a white belt mistake, not a black belt.

You need to watch where your punches are going, they're at head hight- and not even central. Also, you aren't using any hips in this kata.

It is actually Zen Kutsu Dachi or Long Forward stance for this kata. In this example the first stance is too narrow even for Zen Kutsu Dachi.
