Your response is confirmation not only that you don't really follow sports, but are pretty immature for 18.
.
What else could you have meant? Well for example I follow football. There aren't enough hours in the day to cover it completly let alone all sports as you claim. I follow over 80 leagues around the world, and make note of every single result and statistics for those games and leagues. I have files showing the previous years tables, upcoming matches and results, etc.
@CruelSkies Now you're making stuff up. I follow the msjor leagues that have a Pittsburgh team. I definately DO follow those sports and am a very mature person. I don't know every little detail, i'm not a sports analizer. So you are saying that you keep statatistics for EVERY game in 80 leagues? So there aren't enough hours in the day to follow 3 leagues? But you can do in with 80!? Maybe you should make some sense.
If you read your own statements you claim to follow all sports, that is what I said is impossible, although I am certain you don't even follow those 3 leagues to any standard that enables you to make claims of their honesty or other wise.
@CruelSkies OH, and next time you reply, you can do it to ME. I never got that in my inbox. I don't think just typing @steel5w works. Unless you are trying to be cheap about getting the last word in.

Now I have a measure of your level of thought I'll let someone else deal with you. Good day!
@CruelSkies Ok, so I gave a basic description for "following sports", but don't count me out as just another average fan. All you are doing is trying to question my use of words, while ignoring the real point. What about all of this sports being fixed thing? Just beacause you have nothing signifigant to say, don't try to end the conversation by acting like you are somehow better than me. How about you actually try to prove a REAL point?
If you can't, then it is you who can have a good day!
Proof to someone like you is a video or tape of teams organising matches. I could go through many games with you arguing my point, but your mind is already closed.
.
You believe you know everything whilst knowing nothing, and don't even recognise that you have no argument beyond insult (see your numerous posts below).
. If I though you were capable of intelligent reasoned and rational debate I would engage, but seriously your not worth my effort. Good day!
@CruelSkies My mind is not already made up. There is just no convincing reason for me to think otherwise. I do not claim to know nearly everything, but there is reason behind everything I believe and argue for.
The insults were only side notes to my real argument. It just shows how strongly I feel about this and to induce others to comment back. See how I didn't say all that stuff in our debate. This whole thing is a waste off both our times if you stay off-topic. How about we just forget it.
If you looked at sports indepth there would be. I came to sports believing them to be honest and true, and now know them to be false. If your minds not made up go and look properly for yourself and all will be revealed.
@CruelSkies I really doubt that you have 100% evidence with confessions and all for every sport. And you won't address my logic from previous comments. Since neither one of us will convince the other, lets just end this pointless argument. How about we both have good days!

In Pittsburgh, all of the teams support each other and the community. Most of them live in the immediate area of the city for more than just the season. What the hell does the free masons have to do with this? Yeah, all stats are based on math, BECAUSE THEY ARE NUMBERS! That has absolutely nothing to do with anything! If a sports fan wants to emurse themself with fantasy, they join a FANTASY league. I don't care if you watch lord of the rings, play world of warcraft, and read fiction books, NERD
I am a Pittsburgh fan for all sports. Before anyone acouses me of jumping on the bandwagon, I have been all 18 years of my short life. If you actually watch sports you could see there is no way you can rig the plays, so you are saying that it is the leagues and owners. And if you actually follow that stuff, you could see how stupid that sounds. That means that the refs rig EVERYTHING in game. Sure there are questionable calls, but they are human and even with replay, it can be a judgement call.
WOW! For a nerd, you are one dumb piece of shit. All of you're "good points" are completely flawed. (contd.) The Titans/NFL figured that it would take nothing less than a miserable losing streak for fans to be receptive to their agenda to give the disgraced Vince Young his job back. There was too much money invested in VY to let him sit, & the owner desperately wanted to save face for his insistence on drafting VY.
That whole charade should have insulted the intelligence of all who witnessed it. I can't believe there are people who believe the whole "VY saves the season" ploy was real.
Btw, one of the more ridiculous, blatant examples of the scripted fraud that sports are these days is the Tennessee Titans' 2009 season. It defied logic how they lost that many games in a row w/ Kerry Collins at QB- Collins might not be Peyton Manning, but come on. They should have been able to win a few more games w/ him. The losing streak was an obvious p.r. "fix" to justify inserting Vince Young back @ the helm. (contd.)
This guy is absolutely correct. Not only are sports fixed, everything is fixed. Elections, so called "terrorist attacks", TV, public school, college, gambling, hiring, medical, government; its all hocus pocus bullshit.
"Almost everything you have ever been told is a blatant lie" William Cooper
pull your heads out of your FAN. Of course it's fixed. Why wouldn't it be? There are billions of dollars riding on these games. There's nothing illegal about it - it's a GAME and it's entertainment
guess its possible. but all of these players, especially in the NFL have worked hard all there life to achieve who they are today. Its definatley possible but I don't believe its true. Theres probably problems with refs being paid to call a game a certain way but i dont think the players and coaches are involved.
The only thing I can't figure out, though- is how they keep all of the athletes quiet- i.e. when athletes are cut from a team, why don't they seek revenge by "blowing the whistle"?
Why doesn't a Freddie Mitchell (if you know his story or followed his career, you would know why he is a good candidate) blow the lid on the entire fraud?
@craziesthorse - I know people can be blackmailed, but - considering the tremendous number of (aspiring) athletes, (aspiring) coaches, etc. who have passed thru the pro sports machine, you would have thought that - if sports were fixed - more of these people would have blown the whistle. It might be relatively easy to keep 100 people quiet, but controlling millions of people would be *a lot* tougher.
You can easily control people with money or the promise of it, and it needn't take a lot, although these people get a wad. Look at the millions of people selling away their lives in bullshit jobs swallowing crap everyday just to pay their rent. How much easier to control a twenty year old without established morals if your paying him enough to buy a porsche and a beach front property outright. And lookaround the gravy train doesn't end just because your playing career stops!
@craziesthorse (contd.) There are a lot of athletes who are probably disgruntled/dissatisfied at how their careers turned out - who are bitter at the "system"...I just don't understand why more of these people aren't singing.
Don't get me wrong - I believe wholeheartedly that sports are fixed, corrupt, & all of that - it's just that I cannot figure out certain parts of the puzzle.
I agree that sports are fixed. Often, all I have to do is watch the games to get a vaguely phony, "pro-wrestling" feeling. As you said, billions are on the line- so the games/"storylines" are manipulated or (at least to a certain extent) "scripted" in order to "protect"/maximize those billions.
For ex.- Yankees, Lakers winning championships = a manipulated plot to have the "glamor" teams & the star players on the biggest stage, to maximize ratings/consumer interest.
Really... you should pay attention to the begining of all televised sports. In professional sports a small warning states in very fine print for only a second..."FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY"... the same as pro westling. If you have an NFL ,NHL ,NBA ticket also has this disclaimer on the back. It is nothing more than mental neutering, making you care about the benign than what really matters.
HAHAHAHAHA, dude the only sport thats fixed is pro wrestling u dumbass. i can tell u were un athletic when u were young so u made this vid. trust me my cousin is a pro football player and my brother is in a triple a team for baseball
the mafia are you kidding me the sport isnt fixed its called rules have you ever played a contact sport? or is getting thrown into a locker the only contact you've ever had dude sports are not fixed its called a JOB! people play sports not only for liking what there doing but for money. i play lotro as well but i would rather play sports
I quit watching sports about 2 years ago. It seems like such a silly distraction now. Actually, almost all TV is pretty bad - all reality shows, not sure of the significance; maybe I'm just getting old.
1. In terms of sports being fixed, I realize that it occurs very frequently but it also amuses me when people blatantly generalize this issue. Even if you pay a referee or player, you never guarantee that your bet will come through. No one who has been paid can make it obvious for fear of getting caught. The number of people who have been paid off is also up for debate.
In addition, people who generalize this issue are not capable of having any evidence. You cannot know how deep it goes.
Noah makes excellent points. I wouldn't say people are necessarily "crazy" if they associate their pride with a hometown sports team as that is a result of behavioral conditioning. I am officially divorcing myself from all professional sports this year. As an ex-NFL fan, I am disgusted with the entertainment business machine the league has become, its moronic commercials, and the obvious fixed games. Full credit of course to Corporate America!
Conspiracy of sports as a distraction from government? Maybe but that is utter non-sense for me anyways. Conspiracy against creation of new and alternative energies? Logical, because the oil industries and the nuclear industries exist for so long that they have already made their supremacy and are not willing to lose it. Let us think of it as kings afraid of their thrones being lost. Everybody knows what is better, alternative and cheap energies.
doesnt the Protocols of the Elders of Zion state they will create "blood games to distract the public". Professional sports are designed to distract the public and shift the focus away from the people controlling the government.
the AFC and NFC championship this year were fixed.

Part of the goals of communism is national pride via sports, to distract from what is really going on.
Are pro sports fixed? With the billions of dollars bet on sports every year, you know some players are in on the take.
