Your actually FULL OF SHIT! I have two neighbors that Purchased this vehicle that live pretty close together & neither one has been able to max his out (primarily because the lack of perfect conditions)... The hydroplane effect is terrible for these cars until you break 50/60 mph, by then it's time to stop & turn around (unless your driving conditions provide enough room).... Kind of a waste of money just to do some speed passes.

Yea, I agree that 100mph is too fast for normal consumer RC uses. But..HOLY SHIT! Props to Traxxas for having the passion and technology to create a stock RC that can reach 100mph. Dont be negavtive.. be thankful there are engineers and designers that care enough to design this vehicle. Companies who love RCs like Traxxas are what is keeping this hobby alive. Nevermind that this little beast makes my Jato look like a rusty red wagon with a wobbly wheel..haha. PROPS TO TRAXXAS

do you guys at traxxas know what spektrum is? they already have telemetry, why insted of building a new controler/reviever with the capability of ttelemetry with a mofo iphail, while you could use one of the best controler/reviever in the whole god damn world? they even made a new engine along with castle, it's just nonsense, and it costs 1000€/$ without an i-device..

The car is so fast there is no place to really run it at the speed they are advertising. For $1200 I dont think it is worth it. Although the Ipod technology is awesome!!! Its not like you can run the car slower. The faster it goes the cooler the motor gets. What about the other side of the spectrum? Its a great looking car. At 100mph when you crash that's it, now its a waste of money!!

I have ben talking to traxxus for years about my rustler 100 plus mph setup and they told me why would u want a car to go that fast. Then they told me to put my setup on the traxxus forum and I put it there so people could try it and have fun with it and I got put under fire. No one showed me any respect for my acheivment of that car and now traxxas comes out with a 100mph car. I wil be buying this car and tweaking it to go a lot faster than stated.

@draven3907 The reason you don't want a car to go that fast is because, on a track, a 100mph rustler is all but useless. When your two speeds are "God damn!" and "Holy Shit!" it's hard to have a car that performs in anything but a straight line.

Granted, a 100+ rustler is awesome, so you win props in my book, but I'm a dirt track racer, so from my standpoint, 100 is just too damn fast.

Traxxas really outdid themselves once again with an insane 100mph car. However, it was a disappointment that what most people including myself anticipated for did not come true, a 1/8 scale buggy. Don't get me wrong, Traxxas makes phenomenal cars! Hopefully, the buggy will come soon in the very near future.

"I wouldn't pay $1100 for that car." Then it's pointed out that you are paying about $450 for the motor, $200 for the car batts, the radio is $150, and the car is about $300. This is not out of line for getting and equipping any hi-pro car. The car is usually costs less than the stuff put in it. Still needs batts for the radio, a charger and at least an iPod Touch. $300 at most. Total=$1500.

The XO-1 is an absolutely amazing car. It's not for cheapskates or whiners.

@MrYotuner the issues are when revenue comes into play, for example if they stole my video and displayed the whole thing without my permission I would lose revenue on those views and they would make money, thats theft. If they asked permission, got permission, credited and linked the video to the original, then it would be fine.. If you follow these videos you'll remember the huge issues that happened when DJMedic2008 had a video stolen and not credited.. That turned into a HUGE issue for him.

The traxxas xo-1 is cool but the price is crazy who the heck can afford $1099,99 for a car that you can only drive on pavment and do speed runs i think in time that would get very boring and you would end up taking that sweet motor out and putting it in something that you can run offroad now that would be a sick car but this car just is'nt a good thing for traxxas to relise in my opinon.
