  • lol where is genki sudo right now...?

  • @musicquatic92 Doing his music.

Type in-Genki Sudo World order and you'll see him.It is amazing:)

  • @phillozoph50 AMAZING!!! XD

  • jaja Genki Sudo deberia Salir en tekken o mortal kombat... pelea demasiadoo =B

  • The Korean honestly to me... resembles a Kangaroo.... and Sudo reminds me of a dingo.......

  • Lol for all you guys who don't really know what the entrance is all about go youtube Buckethead.

  • @HumansHaveFailed but they sure look neato

  • Guile vs Dan

  • Sudo Genki is so HOTTTTT!

  • @Agnesstation Agreed !

  • That korean guy should have some KFC with his Kimchi if he wants to be Genki.

  • i'm shocked he's managed to keep his pearly whites

  • Makes me want to order some chicken and listen to some Styxx...

    Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto

  • 23 people watched this video with a KFC bucket on their head....

  • @mamebuilder1974 lame jokes

  • Looking forward to the day Sudo will go ROBOT in the ring

  • Genki's striking isn't awful he's actually done very well in striking competitions he keeps his hands low and does the things he does all part of his style to throw the opponent off. It's what makes him successful how do you prepare to fight a guy as unorthodox as Genki? It's so hard cos there is no one like him.

  • just to let you guys know, that isnt a TKD fighter... K-1 wanted a tkd guy for korea in there ranks so they told a korean kickboxer to pretend he does TKD. yes, he uses some tkd kicks but that is b/c everybody in korea has been influenced some by tkd but he hasnt trained in it since he was a kid

  • @dkader09

Lol, wut? Sounds like more TKD excuses...

  • Tae kwon do is weak. All the guys fight like it is some exhibition.

  • Great unorthodox finish by Genki. The unorthodox style really threw off the TKD guy. The TKD guy is a good fighter, but maybe inexperienced in kickboxing. They are two totally different sports. Some of his kicks looked very effective.

  • Did that guy just do a lariat

This dude is my favorite martial artist now

  • He fights for... Unicef? lol okay...

  • @PaintedW0LF

Hahaha. He's been doing that for most, if not all, his fights. He wants to promote unity among all things. He's such a class act. Sadly, he may have retired. But at least he's making awesome dance music now.

  • thats funny...just shows that a medal in tkd doesnt mean shit......genki's striking is awful, hes a good fighter...but striking just aint his forte. low guard+ that stupid bounce = a backfist to the face

  • @callamwong lol like genki said fight like water,,,,, it takes eney form

  • The TKD guy should have:

Kept his guard up and used his kicks to control the distance of the fight, then won using stamina and ring craft.

  • Comment removed

  • genki and kakouda very good fighter kakouda is arbitre t shirt blues very strong and fast look at match of kakouda lol

  • Aahahha. Sudo scores alot with those spinning Backfists... He'd be a much better fighter if he works on his boxing... but still, He gets the job done. lol

  • TKD guy should've kept his guard up. The trouble with training for high kicks. Even after the Genki spinning backfist/jab combination he's still got his hands too low, so the last spinning backfist catches him.

  • the first kick of the tkd guy shows that if used correctly most tkd kicks can do damage.....of course there are also kicks done only for display reasons.........

  • he must be a fan of buckethead

  • Genki Sudo is my fucking hero FTW!!!

  • gracie jiu jitsu

  • Sleeper service ..define "Good test". Knocked down once in the first round and then knocked out inside of 10 seconds in the second round. I agree with UrDdoinItWrong...he couldn't land any hard kicks except to Genki's legs. Also the technique that got the knockout was not an elbow,it was a spinning back fist. You can clearly see the ref tell them NOT to use their elbows when he is giving them instructions. You are right in that it has knocked out a lot of people. That is not the argument.

  • He catches genki a few times. He also gets genki off balance.

Normaly its Genki catching other fighters in this way and that is why i think it was a good test.

You dont need to allways hit hard when going for a knock out and it looks like the TK guy was a danger until gneki opend up a can of whupass on him.

Your right about the elbow.... i re watch. props to you.

  • Count how many times the TKD guy is on his ass when he misses and you see why it is pretty useless outside of a ring. Unless you tag your opponent you are too open to counters and getting taken to the ground. To the TKD guy's credit he did land some shots but he couldn't use any combinations.

  • How can you judge a whole disipline based off of one persons use or misuse?

  • When the guy is a champ, has the perfect body for that style, faces a guy that does not have a natural strikers body, is not primarily a striker(Genki has great stand up, but he is a grappler and submission artist at heart) and get totally and absolutely shut down with a few rule changes. Crashing in, punches to the face and kicks to the legs stopped everything the tkd guy could do offensively. Imagine if Genki could clinch or shoot and do ground work, fight would be over in under a minute, easy

  • Uh, "a few rule changes"? You can't punch to the head in WTF TKD. That rule alone is incredibly significant.

Besides, you can be a pretty wily fighter and still get caught with a backfist. Frank Shamrock was on a pretty big winning streak when he lost that match with Bas Rutten. He lost because of a cut and as far as I remember the cut was caused by a spinning backfist.

  • In the grand scheme of rule changes from WTF TKD to MMA punches to the face and leg kicks are not a huge change. They are important, but a world class striking discipline like tkd(LOL) should be able to hang, it can't. Its not like Sudo could do bjj or gnp either, and the tkd guy was getting worked the whole time.

  • This match ended with a spinning backfist. Doesn't that sort of contradict your whole premise? I mean if you consider rules to be significant based on how many words they take to write, then maybe those rules aren't significant. But then we have an example right here where the consequences of those rule differences are obvious. You can't write off these kinds of differences as unimportant and then belittle the art as deficient. He didn't get backfisted because of the way he chambers his kicks.

  • TKD is flashy easy to beat if you have any skills in jiujitsu, boxing, karate and just about anything else.

  • Its true, but ITF TKD isent that bad in real fights. Real TKD (Not the sport kind) is actually a good fighting style, another thats basically the same but with grappling and more punching is Hapkido. Its really nice, But if this guy got lucky (Or was good lol) and he landed one of thoughs kicks even simi good to the head Genki would loose. Genki Sudo is probly my favorit MMA fighter, hes so funny all the time! lol

  • Sudo > every TKD person at real fighting. There is no comparison.

  • Fool.

Genki was one of the better fighters to employ wrestling and karate / kick boxing. This Taekwondo guy gives him a good test in stand up , anyone here can see that so why post otherwise ? :P The knock out caused by spinning elbow has floored other , non Taekwondo fighters just as sure as it floored this guy.

genki is legend....we are all one! :P

  • tkd kicks are weak as fuck

  • not unless you use them right.

  • if this TKD guy knew how to box he probably would have one. Even with his shitty hand skills he was still landing punches. Oh well.

  • there are so many shitty tkd videos out there, it's nice to see a decent one represent. even if he does lose.

    it's a good match.

  • TKD is one of the harder styles to display effectively in the ring. While they have powerful kicks, the overall speed compared to how someone moves and how badly they can be punished if one of their kicks miss contribute a great deal to why it's hard to use it well in the ring. Definitely fun to watch though, it's one of the flashier, better looking styles ;P

  • Very true, I did ITFTKD all growing up, and now that I train MMA, I find that I incorporate very little of my previously learned technique. Most of those kicks are just too risky, even when you're quick on the draw with them. You can even see the TKD guy in this vid getting frustrated and just throwing more punches and leg kicks as he continues to fail with every hard spin kick he tries.

  • it looks like he caught him with an elbow. are elbows legal in kickboxing?

  • This is K-1.And elbow are not allowed.

  • so what

  • hahahahaha ...wait, hahahahahhahahahahaha, oh man, oh man. Shoulda covered up a bit better!! Daymnnn

  • That korean is good but he lacks stamina. He might've won if hadn't run out of stamina so quickly.

  • Genki sudo is insane in the most awesome way imaginable.

He said he retired from fighting because he saw a sign over an urinal reading "One step forward"

  • Lol, he was joking there. He retired due to a neck injury.

  • I thought it was something like that but i'd like to think he's just crazy :D

  • jea he is...but he's too a genius!! =D

  • Yeah it a tribute to the musician buckethead.

  • your an idiot. you dont even know who genki sudo is. your one of those UFC die hard fans that think they know alot about mma. your a NOOB. evryone will read what you said and know YOU are A NOOB!

  • You are a noob. Fucking idiot.

  • spinnning fist biatch!

  • I'm Korean, but I'm going for Sudo because we are all one.

Because remember, it's MIXED martial arts.

  • @HeyYouNotYou pretty sure its kickboxing. NOT mixed martial arts.

  • @HeyYouNotYou but this is kick boxing....

  • @HeyYouNotYou You dirty Korean bitch. You're not Korean, you're Japanese raped Korean bitch. YOU ARE NOT KOREAN.

  • @TheKoryoMusa You are the scum of the earth. Absolute scum. The lowest of the low. Get a grip on reality, you pathetic specimen of humanity.

  • @Buffoon1980 LOL, someone's been reading too much anime locked up in their room while nobody will even look or care about them...... XD This is the best insult coming from a nobody that everybody won't give 2 cents to save their life? LMFAO

  • @HeyYouNotYou

    That, and the KFC bucket.

  • This is stupid, Genki sometimes wins through tap out and when the ref breaks them up once they get close, that will never happen. Although I like taekwondo, this bias crap is really lame

  • what are you talking about, how is this bias, it's a kickboxing match. thats the refs job, he splits them up when they clintch without action,

  • lol...buckethead......nice backhook thou

  • The taekwondo guy was bad with his punches, and bad with his kicks. He used the wrong kicks and they failed him everytime.

  • Holy shit, he was doing Buckethead!

  • I feel Genki lures his opponent into afeeling of over confidence then surprises them. He'll take a fall so to speak, appear as if he was hurt..it works every time. He KNOWS his opponents are tough, and perfectly capable of beating him.

  • After watching Genki Sudo's fight with Ramon Dekker and then watching this...Dekker would've killed Sudo in a straight-up fight.

  • that's why he knows what opponents to take ground and what not. ;-)

  • The Korean guy has a significantly bigger build than R Dekker.

  • Besides thee career men get paid to entertain. I am sure Genki could have took him out sooner.

The TKD guy did do wellm I'll give him that No beef.

  • that was a straight up fight.

if it was a strictly stand up match then dekker would have won. But strictly stand up isnt a pure fight

  • I thought "Straight-up" implied "Stand-up". My bad.

  • straight up isnt a stand up fight. like wrestling isnt a straight up fight. like a jiujitsu match isnt a straight up fight. put them all together and thats a straight up fight

  • Agreed! A strictly stand up fight is impure. Not only that, if all fights in K1, Pride and UFC were strictly stand up, the Gracies would be nothing. But I'm a fan and I have respect for every art out there, so it's all good for me.

  • Genki Sudo knocked out a Gracie with a knee to a face on the guard in a grappling/striking match.

  • kudos for uploading.

  • Considering how uneffective of a martial art taekwando is the lad did well.

  • Fuck taekwondo! a good way to get hit while youre spinning around on one leg, too much like ballet

  • Taekwondo guy was no joke! but sudo's got everyone shook with is elusive clowning type of attack.

  • That was a nice follow up of the spinning back fist!

  • what happened to this guy? does he still fight?

  • genki sudo hasnt fought since 06

  • The United Kingdom is for people to fight like pussies.

  • Says the man from the butthole of the north Michigan. (we can smell our own)

  • Says the man from the butthole of the US that is Michigan.

    (we can smell our own)

  • If you know where i'm from and about me, come get some you shit talking internet warrior.

2003 Gladstone Street. Detroit Michigan, 48206.

Use google maps to find driving directions to me and back up your words with reality if you're not too scared to drive through neighborhoods that are 90% black.

  • So I, a fellow Michigander from way back, points out you, and at one point I, live in the most red neck state in the north. So you decide to call me out to fight about being from a redneck state.

To top if off you mention that your neighbor is populated primarily by African American. As though that fact would/should in any way deter anyone from visiting there.

So you foolishly defensive of a state we are both from, and racist on top of that.

  • I know evilgeniusfin is a no show anyway. Please shock me and show you have enough balls to at least pop my tires.

  • Why on earth would I want to travel 8000 km back to that god forsaken state, just to beat the crap out of some white trash asshat?

    It's pointless. Utterly pointless.

But, if I was still stuck there. I too might be quick to throw down for little to no reason. Prison sure beats unemployment for some.

I'm guessing you're a student(or dropout) at Wayne. Incidentally I used to live on 4th street and work for Wayne County's 6th District court. That area is far from intimidating.

  • Yeah right kid. You're a fucking googler, you don't know shit. And why did you keep calling me a racist? What the fuck race do you think I am? You know nothing kid, and I never went to Wayne and i'm not a student. Just stop spamming this video with pointless arguing, give me direct messages instead of filling this up. Nobody else wants to hear your bitching except me.

  • " We are all one "

  • He must be a fan of Jordan.

  • kfc bucket ftw!

  • Why did Genki only have a couple of fights in the UFC?.

  • good question he beat everyone he fought in the ufc except a controversial ud loss to ludwig which most people think he won

  • yes beacuse i do it.....

  • also gooley do you know much about Rhee taekwondo?

  • ITF taekwondo fighting style is more or less kickboxing style

  • isnt ITF the one by general choi, with the sinewave? do you mean WTF is more like kickboxing? im not being a smart arse i may have misconceptions about TKD

  • no m8 its te other way round :) WTF is the stuff they do in the olympics where its only kicks and they wear protective body armour.... but thats pussy shit :)

  • you do rhee?

  • God ath The finishing Move. *-Me Clapping-*.

  • Never seen before, a turning Uraken is the best way to lose my balance and be hitten multiple times on my back!

  • A vertical metsudomoe!

    Funny!

  • HAHAHAHAHA....genki wasnt even trying in the 1st round...well thats what it looked like...

  • 'we are all one' we will never forget that genki, what ever you do now since you retired.

  • sudo is a funny fighter...but TKD shdn't be in tis kinda competition...how wud a fighter fight without first guarding his head?

  • umm hes trying to impersonate Buckethead ?

  • yeah he is a fan

  • ...Wait...whut?

  • ohhhh that backfist was so smooth son

  • sudo is the most sound mma fighter = boxing, grappling & striking. no disrespect in this era even horace will need to work on his hands. bjj is not a suprise anymore defenses have improved watch for the underhooks and the sprawl.

  • What are you rambling on about? Are you saying you don't feel Genki is a well rounded fighter?

  • tkd dude was fighting better generally...karate had a lucky shot...

  • what fight u are watching??

TKD guy was lost per points, at the moment of KO

  • there was no karate guy in the ring...

    genki sudo is a wrestler

  • "fighting better" usually doesn't involve taking a nap. Maybe if the sport allowed punches to the head, TKD fighters would be better at stopping punches to the head.

  • ITF style TKD does allow punches to the head.

  • KFC bucket and white mask? :S...ill never understand the Japanese

  • lol wtf TKD dude disapointed me completely(i train both TKD and Kickboxing)

  • lol wtf TKD dude disapointed me completely(i train both TKD and Kickboxing)

  • jordan: buckethead.

  • I guess Genki wanted to be the Buckethead of MMA ( kudos for all who know the guitarist buckethead and get what im saying)

  • Obviously have no clue what you're talking about. Buckethead, say it with me Bucket Head. Wiki it.

  • great sportsmanship from them both. inspiring to see.

  • damn...

really wish tkd faggot took genki on in mma match and not kickboxing match

  • migi no baku buro!

    TKD good for 5 mins...

  • TKD is very weak

  • Just so everybody knows K-1 has a kicking boxing division, muay thai division, mma division and san shou division.

The TKD guy obviouslly didn't want to grapple. This fight is a kick boxing fight, but K-1 allows pretty much all types of sport-fighting except plain ol' boxing.

  • Agreed. That's all true.

  • Agreed. That's all true.

  • oh i didn't know that about the different divisions. thanks for the info.

  • no ground fighting in K1!? Oh i dont really like this.

  • if this alowed ground would be over in first little bit

  • real TKD master is guarding them selves and kick faster..

  • its a tribute to buckethead for those who dont get it

  • K1 is so fucking dumb. watch as i just grab the other guy when im in trouble or fall on the ground so it gets reset

  • Train kickboxing. See how easy it is to "just grab the other guy when you're in trouble". Fuckin' moron.

  • i'm talking about the tactic used by boxers to recover from being dazed: they hug their opponent and wait for a reset to buy themselves time. plus, i never said it was easy, but i'm pretty damn sure it's easier than NOT hugging your opponent and taking blows while dazed. i don't think you understood what i was talking about so i'm not going to say "use your head before making dumbass comments". Fuckin' moron.

  • I WANT A STEAMING BUCKET ON MY HEAD TOO. (sob)

  • are they going out? they hug so much

  • you dont know how to kickbox do you?

  • Bah, theres no ground submision. If there is that Kicking guy already lost min ago. Hes kick is no match with genki Sudo's submissions.

  • Lol the tae kwon do guy was very close to knock out sudo with some kicks....

  • thats the problem with TKD, no guard up, you get KTFO

  • yup tkd is abt far distance . and once tkd get caught close up their doom DOOM DOOM AHAHAHAHAHAH.

  • Hey ridersoftoob, how ya doin', you racist asshole.

  • Genki is one baaaad muthafcuka

  • tru dat. man of many styles. u can see he picked up on his tkd skills after matches like these. "we are all one" he say. he appreciates his opponents and people in general more than any fighter ive seen.

hes cares about his fans. he has a world of tricks that people have discarded but are still most effective today.

  • double spinning backfist

  • lol Like Buckethead

  • K-1s so restricting lol..

Well, they probably dont want elbows to the face because the fact they dont want people uh..get really hurt?

  • What was Genki saying at 2:31?

  • Genki is a real fighter...even handicapped he'll put up and still be the last one standing. I love his "We are all one" flag... tells alot about him.

  • Yea his flag is so cool. I like the one he has with everyones country on it!

  • accept kurdistan

  • lol a kfc hat in the begining

  • genki elbow this dude's out...why can't they let the Thai fighters use elbow in K1...any Q?
