Its hard to believe Amir is Baba's son. Baba was willing to take a bullet for a perfect stranger and yet Amir wasn't willing to take a punch for the person he grew up with since birth thats sad. My HS english class is studying this book and my teacher did a vote "how many of you would go in to help a friend if they were getting raped with the chance of getting hurt and not a single person didn't put their hand up".
Baba was my favorite character in the book, and I love this actor's performance but I think Kabir Bedi would have done an awesome job. He looks much more intimidating than this guy.
I have always admired the character of "Baba" for doing things like fearlessly standing up to an armed soldier....all in the name of decency. I wish there could be more people like him in this world!
@soni496 haha their is bacha bazi in Afghanistan but most people are ashamed of it, they do it secretly. However in some poems written by Pashtoon poets many ears ago the man talks about a boys bum, and says he has a bum like a peach. he is a very famous pashtoon poet, you can read about it.
maybe the movie is good but it was not real ....i dont like taliban but i can say that they will never do ( bacha bazi or raqsandan bacha ha ) and also in that movie they accused the Pashtun people and insult Hazara people so it is not fair we cant accused a group to all brave Pashtun people
