  • What is this? I don't even ...

  • I could be wrong for asking this but what did you use to shoot the footage and upload it youtube. I mean the answer is probably in that question but im overwhelmed with instructions im taking it one step at a time.

What program did you use to Shoot the Megaman Legends Footage though? or is it already IN what you told me?

  • @TheDevilBreaker Camtasia Recorder to shoot the footage. It's not "free", but a good alternative would be CamStudio, though make sure you set it up properly to avoid any possible desyncing issues that might happen.

  • hahaha

  • Hi ANimabolt, how do you record these cutscenes into your youtube videos.

I mean im trying to get subtitles animes uploaded up here with proper subs. I know how to script them right but im just starting out when it comes to editing videos.

What do you use for you vids to have that degree of visual quality

  • @TheDevilBreaker Heya. As an otaku myself, I understand your problem. Fansubbers use the format .mkv because it allows them to "softsub" the video, meaning you can turn the subs on or off at will, they're not encoded directly into the video. To get the subs to show up on YouTube, they have to be encoded directly into the video, or "hardsubbed". If you already know how to get the scripts out of a video or something go get yourself the free program "VirtualDub".

  • What's an otaku? I hear it in some animes.

  • @chdata "Anime fan" is a good way to put it.

  • @TheDevilBreaker You then want to get the TextSub filter for virtualdub, search up a tutorial for how to do that. Then it's just a matter of selecting your subtitle file (.srt, .ass, ect) and render out of virtual dub. Quick note: VirtualDub only works with .AVIs, so make sure you convert the files beforehand with something like say, MediaCoder (also free). I record at a 16:9 aspect ratio (600x338) with a lossless codec (Lagarith, free). Grab your favourite screenrecorder and off you go.
