  • oh i dunno, maybe a uhmm...INCENDIARY ROUND?

  • API - Armor Piercing Incindiary come on its so obvióus ;:S

  • no incendiary round?

  • they shouldve used the 50 cal raufoss round lol

  • that wasn't a walther p99, that was a smith and wesson sw99

  • Hahahhaaaa! :D Merry Christmas!!

  • 2:40 that is the EXACT face Kari made when i showed her my penis

  • they forgot about explosive rounds the make sparks and a flame at the end

  • @saf768 As there are no explosive rounds for anything less than 20mm...no, they didn't And as for a flame at the end, what do you think a tracer round is?

  • the asian is my favorite <3

  • thumbs up if you'd like to work with this guys

  • @mofunzonecom

In the movie he uses a Walther P99 only in Quantum Of Solace he changes to PPK again

  • id hit kari :D

  • @theeyeofthestorms, my God... what hetero man wouldn't?

  • ROFL at the end

Tori:you know we still got some propane tanks

  • they never thought that a spark from a nearby lamp could have ignited the propane when bond shot it...

  • WALTHER PPK

    NOT P999

    THUMBS UP

  • i had a empty deodorant can although it had some liquid in it has NO propellant i was shooting it with a air pistol and then it never exploded so we light it on fire after a about 10 mins i went to my room to get more ammo i came back then i was aiming at the can and before i shot it exploded BIG TIME wow it sounded like a grenade and the bottom of the can was found about 35 feet away

  • the electric faults may have ignited it, but i agree it isnt a viable exit

  • shooting the bottom of the valve works pretty good and armour piercing 9mil rounds would have cut threw the tank

  • At 1:57, look at JD's look on Buster. It's like "Ahh what the heck?! Is this where I signed on at?"

  • There are people who make exploding bullets in 9mm Para and .45 Auto.

  • Full metal jakets are wat the should've used.

  • Armor Piercing Incendirary?? come on I shure this would work!!

  • As hot as she is Kari's voice annoys me

  • hank hill would shake his head

  • I wonder how many lawnmower-years of unburned hydrocarbons they released into the atmoshpere.

  • hes not a fraud its just non of these guys are secrete agents so they wouldn't have the technology necessary maybe his rounds have a delayed charge in them so they explode after they pierce

  • HAHA XD, tory sounded like a freakin redneck when that thing went off! Thats demm biggest bool of fiour Ive jever seen!!

  • shudda used incendary ammo?

  • buster survived the explosion! thats a nice tux too, looks like buster has a nice tuxedo to wear on special occasions now

  • BTW ppl thats pretty much all you need for a real life IED.. just so you know

  • just one thing

if the tank was rusted it would be weaker so.....BOOM

  • thats stupid to call it busted, you can find videos of people shooting propan tanks with tracers that end in a big explosion

  • @Polenar This myth is all about if the James Bond 9mm shot can blow the propane tank up, not about tracers...

  • actualy, bond uses special ammo made by Q.

  • dude its called movie magic

  • just because the 9mm didnt work doesnt mean they shouldnt try it again.i mean its james bond he can do like backflips off of buildings

  • I want to know what type of rounds they were using with the 9mm

  • in the movie the use explosives.. normal bullets / armomr peircing did not explode the tank. it must be hard to believe but thats hollywood 4 u

  • Comment removed

  • lol at 1:01

  • wow...M14!

  • 9mm mini Mk 211 should work. a special q-build ammo. lol

  • 2:55

  • they forgot one very important varible.............James Bond

  • buster played 007

  • 2-3 armour piercing 9mm with tracer will do it

  • how come the bond doll did get blown over?

you'd think that blast would kill people from over 200 feet away or something...

  • Grant has the perfect evil laugh

  • They should have used armor piercing incendiary rounds. And 007 might even have them in 9mm.

  • hank hill would not like this lol

  • "I tell you what."

  • What if they had used explosive rounds? That could do the work ^^

  • shoot the top tard

  • yh maybe theres a weak point. eg. the valve

  • I wanted to see how Buster's suite looked like after the explosion :-(

  • the problem is that to get large explosion, you would need to thouroghly mix oxygen with the gas so that rather than just the outside layer of gas burning, it all burns at once. this is basically how a fuel-air bomb works

  • they could have used the aa-12 ... it can shoot a explosive bullet ;)

  • Can anyone tell me the military use of a tracer round? what are they used for..except for killing.

  • So the person shooting can see where the rounds are going. Its usually not every bullet but just enough to keep people accurate.

  • i geuss for vehicles?

  • Tracer rounds are thoroughly used as a targeting device for old antitank weapons. First they use a gun attached to it so they if they hit the target. Then, they use the BIG gun :p

  • @Panos8918 That's a complete nonsense. Tracer rounds are (surprisingly) used for tracing the path of the bullet, making it visible to the shooter and thus helping him to aim. They are used in machine guns, typically every fifth bullet in the belt being a tracer round. Search for 'GAU-17/A (with Tracer ammunition)' here at youtube to see tracer rounds at work.

  • @pisseddotcom That's what i said. Tracer rounds were used as a targeting device for infantry weapons that did NOT have targeting devices on them. As you already know the principle of a tracer round, the application which i previously mentioned is still applicable. Tracer rounds are now used on anti tank weapons without recoil (although those are also withdrawn), on and on a few WW2 machine guns. The main disdvantage is that except from the shooter, foes can also see the trace.. have a nice day

  • @Panos8918 No, you said that it's used on old antitank weapons to see if you can hit the target before you fire the weapon's main round. Well, I have never heard of such weapon system. In fact since the anti-material weapons are single-shot, the tracer will hardly be of any use. Modern weapons fire guided missiles, so using a tracer would be useless. And tracer rounds aren't obsolete stuff used on rare WW2 guns, they are commonly used in all weapons designed for sustained full auto fire.

  • @pisseddotcom Well, having served on the National Guard for 2 years "voluntarily" i served as a gunner. I also had some training on anti-tank weaponry. Not on modern ones. The bottom line is, we only used tracers on rear occasions. We rarely used them. Optics nowadays are less obvious to foes than tracers. The chained tracers you mentioned before, are still used is true. But on very rare occasions, on infantry 7.62 mm and 50cal rounds, only on places that the machine gun is obvious. Such as a b

  • @Panos8918 Ah finally we came to agreement. I understand that tracers aren't used on magazine-fed assault rifles / SMGs. Wouldn't be much useful as shooting these in long burst isn't much efficient anyways. Machine guns are a different story though, I can't quiet imagine shooting these effectively w/o tracers, especially vehicle mounted ones where acquiring a target through sights can get a bit tricky due to vehicle movement.

  • 0:46 they keep using a SW99 and call it a P99, they could have at least use the right gun.

  • The footage from 2:56 to 2:59 is awesome; check out the initial ignition of propane. It creates a semi-sphere of unignited gas on the perimeter, which then gradually ignites.

Would love to see that on some super-high FPS footage.

  • you could use high explosive rounds

  • use a tracer round the magneseum tip will light the gas

  • they still have the best jobs ever

  • James Bond is a fraud!!!

  • yup!

  • its just a movie fag

  • @saintaureus

nooooooooooooooooo there just not doing it right

  • @saintaureus NO HE IS NOT! YOU LIE!!! ALL MI6 AGENTS CAN TAKE OUT AN ENTIRE RUSSIAN ARMY WITH NOTHING BUT A 9MM HAND GUN AND A GADGET OR TWO!!!!

  • @saintaureus Yeah, along with every video game since resident evil 4!

  • @saintaureus Yeah, along with every video game since resident evil!

  • @saintaureus James Bond shot the valve. So now you just need to find a 9mm round that is able to ignite the gas.

  • All you have to do is set up a flare 5 feet from the tank, then shoot. Rookies

  • Should be flint tipped bullets.....

  • they do have exploding rounds for the 50 cal, maby they should use them or try different kinds of ammo in the 9 mil

  • Hah,you think so little man ? You don't know me so go back and play with your gameboy little 18 year old boy.

  • Maybe James Bond has exploding rounds in his weapon????

  • For a 9mm, it definately wouldn't puncture the canister and they don't explode like that.

  • An AA12....EXCUSE ME!!!!!!!!

  • Hah ! Littleman, you have no clue ! 18 year old punk that is just getting his first wet dream, and he is telling someone he has no idea who they are to grow up. Graduate high school, grow some pubies b-4 you make a fool of yourself ,little man !

  • You didn't use the A12 shotgun with exploding rounds????????

  • Her hair looks like fire...

    Hot.

    ;-)

  • this would be an awesome job.

  • True, but I've alway's had a thing for her.Not just her looks but her personality and how she likes to do experiments like the boy's. All of my past ladyfriends had no interest in life in general.Their thing was shopping, and maybe a little of partying. I do have a life.Your the one who is taking out the time to blog me,so you must not have a life.Keep your comments to yourself.

  • Pics or it didnt happen.

  • And im saying it in advance.

  • can u upload the pirate of the Caribbean special plz i love that one

  • couldnt an API do it?

  • I think using explosives was stupid. They should have tried different substances like... nitrous or... nitrous...

  • check out that Toronto Propane explosion. It looked like a mini nuke.

  • the US does make 3 different type of 9mmx19 explosive round, i dont recall seeing an incendiary 9mm rds.

  • nope, it was a .22

  • is that rifle an M1?

  • either m14 or m1 i think,it looks alot like an m14.

  • its US rifle called Carbine M14 but the model is WW2. 15 bullets per magazines using 6.62mm rounds. The newer versions of carbine has holes on the gun casing for better accuracy.

  • The first rifle they use is the US rifle caliber .30 M1 aka M1 Garand. The second they use looks like a Springfield Armory M1A which is a civilian model of the US rifle caliber 7.62 NATO M14.

  • yes but that doesnt explain much why the bullets didnt penetrate. The possible could have used a nromal round instead of Armour Piercing. Also a lot of military style bullets are equipped with incendiery AP. The result dramitically changes when both of them add together.

  • No amount of heat will ignite the propane until there is the proper fuel air mix. There is not enough oxygen to sustain a reaction.

  • there is oxygen. Oxygen is everywhere outside the tank. If the bullet can pierce it no shit there isnt a reaction. When the bullet pierce the tank oxygen starts mixing, and when the bullet hits the inside of the tank there you go an explosion. The spark that the bullet hits from the inside is good enough for for the mix.

  • When the propane is pushed out of the hole in the tank it forms a dense cloud where there is not enough oxygen. That's why not even the tracer would ignite it.

  • dsiturb is also depends on the concentration of the contents. Like I previously stated, if the propane tank mythbuster bought is old, there is a chance it wont ignite. Old = faulty. It also depends on the type of propane, the normal CH3 or the isopropane. The two makes a huge difference in chemical reaction. The cloud only forms because of explosive decompression in the tank.

  • My point still is no matter what propane or how old there will not be enough oxygen to ignite.

  • dsiturb how about it can go both ways. But there is a difference between propane that is CH3, CH3OH, and Isopropane.

  • dsiturbance it also depends on the type of propane tanks. Mythbuster probably used an old propane tank and the effects of it probably decreased over the years. There are also Iso-propane that can easily react violenty.

  • isn't there a type of bullet that is meant to spark when it hits a metal object? ive seen people shoot propane with sniper rifles and its exploded.

  • you mean incendiary ammunition.

  • precisely. how do we know bond wasnt packing those in his .22??

  • the valve is weaker and made of a different metal, may cause a different, or, better spark and make it easier to "rupture" the tank

  • it wasnt as big but still big

  • i wonder if that fire was bigger then the creamer cannon?

  • hei,i don't get it propane is what?

  • a flammable gas like LPG

  • LPG is propane "Liquid Propane Gas." All propane that you normally buy has been compressed so that it is in a liquid stage.

  • But Bond survived (?)

  • kari is hot witha gun... and it would be more effective if they shot the valve instead of the tank itself

  • does anyone know how they drew the storyboards for this episode? they're really cool!

  • Um, I'm pretty sure they drew them themselves? Wtf do you think? One of their staff probably did...

  • idk, some sorta program, sorry for asking then...

  • lol listen to it properly it says "thats what makes tracer rounds VISIBLE to the naked eye" =-)

  • I really wished they would stop behaving like children all the time.

  • did you think about the fact that they're doing things that kids love to do??

this is their inner child having fun doing this kidna stuff, don't youb remember loving experimenting thing as a child? or you're an old bag whose always bitter...

    I like these guys.

  • The Adam is the biggest child in the whole world :D but he rules !!

I like to blow up stuff.Hay mom,you know about my problem with blowing up stuff,well...its not a problem anymore :D

  • they need to throw a grenade at it

  • they have 2 use the lil ones them explode

there vids all over youtube showing it

  • if u stop it at :15 seconds u can see the girls g string.

  • thats the top of her jeans and her belt

  • actually that's her mic's antennae

  • wat the hell???

  • they need try with a .50 cal

  • 50 BMG. Done.

  • They need to try the valve.

  • its a propane TANK.

  • yet another myth in void if they had used a tracer incendary round it would have worked fisrt shot

  • Incendiary would definitely work. Do they make incendiary rounds in 9mm? If you could get an armor piercing incendiary in a 9mm than it would work with the PP7 or whatever.

  • you would probley have to special order it or have it speacially made but bond would have them and i know hay

  • use a nade

  • the fact that Kari likes guns makes her that much more attractive in my eyes.

  • I think Tory used the 7.62 NATO. Just look at his rifle. It's not a Garand, but an M14. Maybe an M21.

  • 50 cal incendiary rounds.

  • use 155mm howitzer :)

  • damnit they should have wrapped a piece of cloth around the outside, lit it on fire and then shot it

  • Grant's diabolical laugh is awesome! :D my history teacher has a better one though.

i wanna work for this show, that would be awesome :D

  • does anyone else think that kari and tori are the cool ones and grant is the nerdy one?

  • Nerdy is cool.

  • TCHA! :D

  • In MythBusters, it is

  • I think Grant is nerdy but clever, and tori an idiot and Kari is Cool and smart!

  • kari's just hot

  • but... what if james bond had buttlets with flint on the outside? then there would be sparks.

  • 007 has magic clips that change his bullets to whatever he needs at a moments thought. He can even make them powerful enough to sink a battleship at 50 miles away.

  • lol u mean special effects XD

  • tape a flare to the tank light it then shoot it :)

  • cal. 50 might do the job

  • Should have used a .45 Incendiary

  • omg totally!

  • because they dont want to spend 20$ on one bullet
