I first saw Curry do this as a solo at Queens Ice Rink London in about 1970. He wore a purple page boy costume & a pill box hat. It was very different from the above and was a lesson in all the steps one can do on ice. What was impressive was the series of spins each one performed on each leg to left & right perfectly.
I think it was better than above which is lovely but not so innovative. I was privileged to skate at Richmond and watch a young boy turn into an artist on ice!
Well done! I'm glad you had more luck loading this than I had - it deserves a wider audience.
Viewers may like to compare this with 'The skaters - John Curry' loaded by K9henrydog. Both use the same music and costumes (for Lorna and Cathy) from the Palais de Glace number from John's 1978 Felt Forum show.
Again John Curry has amazed me in his ability to bring theatrical dance to the ice. A wonderful accomplishment and inspiration.

Fabulous. Thank you so much for this. So sweet, so innocent, so elegant, so graceful, so Edwardian. Perfect.
