  • "Once the house has been audited..." that means YOUR house, your apartment, your hole in the wall, or cardboard box. Nobody talks about the House - or THE SENATE, etc. ...being AUDITED. If ya don't know about THOSE houses, you're definitely a slave, & a calf to the slaughter. These creatures pretending kindness are Tyrants to the GULLIBLE. Make your own life, take care of yourselves and your friends. Be honest, and require your public servants to be servants, NOT Masters. GROW UP.

  • It's not necessary and it won't work.

  • you guys are screwed Peter Schiff predicts imminent doom and he's never wrong, told us about the current recession 2 years ago this guy never lies

  • The solar industry is the ONLY thing my employer is banking on at this point. I work for a leader in the glass industry. The housing market situation has effected me and my family in a HUGE way. I hope that it takes off soon. If it doesn't I'm on the street.

  • More empty platitudes. Pay attention to how this is worded. "what we WANT to do" or "what we NEED to do" not what we WILL do. He hasn't even taken office and he's already telling you he lied, excuse me, needs to REASSESS his campaign promises. Calling this a plan is moronic. What he will do is sell out our sovereignty - that is some change you can believe in.

  • I'm all for a stimulus package... But I'm curious where these jobs are coming from.

  • Hi everyone.. If your watching this video you noticed that around 4:23 they're talking about working with 21st century technology. But shouldn't technology be working FOR us? Something the government won't tell you about wright? Still there are thousands of people who generate great wealth while technolgy is doing 90 percent of the work. If you'd like to know how I only work one hour a day while securing my financial succes for life, please visit my page.. Thanks for your time.

  • very interesting. uhm seriously

  • The United States is paying it mortgage payments with it's credit cards.

All of this current mess is because they didn't let the last recession happen in 2001. They made interest rates low to fight it which cause the housing mess to form. They're now making our money worthless and with interest rates at 0% you can bet 10 years from now we WILL have a great depression.

  • Obamas plan doesnt help shit.

Google - "PETER SCHIFF" and bloody watch all his videos.

Hes been predicted this since years. He was spot on.

  • The government can't create jobs, it can only realocate debt. Jobs don't make a healthy economy, healthy economies result in jobs.

  • Good God Welcome to the infancy of Socialism

    In Loving Memory

    Of America

    1776-2008

  • The only change that will benefit America will be to reduce the size of the federal government by at least 70%.

  • I'm totally against anymore of this "bailout", "economic stimulus package" or what's now called in this video, "downpayment on America". It's more of the same BUSH crap!

NO MORE MONEY FROM OUR POCKETS, DAMMIT!

Start bringing the jobs BACK into this country that you let go overseas and you've solved your problem. But nooooo.. that's too easy.

You'd rather keep ripping us all off until we have nothing else and are fully dependent on government for our every need.

    NO! Hear us yet?

  • Thank You for using this method to keep America informed. I put a link to this site as part of my email signature!

  • Do something about the illegals. Hasn't anyone noticed Obama never once discussed this. Think of the millions of illegals here, get rid of them and we free up more jobs.

  • As cautious as I am about Obama, I have to say, hearing about these infrastructure programs and comparing the liberral philosophy to the neglect we've been suffering makes me feel like this is how it's supposed to be! It's like the 21st century has finally started.

  • ECOTONEGUY 1

The economic stimulus plan seems well thought out in all aspects. I particularly applaud the initiative to monitor investments.

However the down side of the stimulus plan is its long term effects on the deficit. MORE TO COME, next comment

  • how f is this lets give them money to tack our money if u want job security join the army lol

  • yes, your participation is essential

  • The woman breaking this economic plan down looks good. Obama has taste

  • hopefully obamas not full of shit

  • 1,000 dollars? One month's rent, two month's mortgage. How long will it feed a family of four? Is that really going to put people back on top?

  • propaganda BS. I should know, I worked in Propaganda BS in the military

  • I love this youtube channel. Really keeps us ,the american people, informed.

  • If anyone thinks that taxes will be cut because the federal government saved on its "energy" bill they are wrong. Anyone that thinks they are paying less taxes needs to realize they are just redirected. Someone else is paying your taxes. This creates an extremely dangerous economy that is capable of toppling at any moment-and Obama wants to save it? FORCED taxes are unnecessary and unconstitutional. The income tax is a "Fuck You" to all Americans!

  • I'd look to where government money spent has been by far the most profitable for society in the short, medium and long run.

That is in R&D--medical and otherwise-- private and public, Education, the building of enabling technologies, helping startups, and national information infrastructure.

When the government builds water fountains, instead of giving out cups of water from time to time, the short term costs are hardly more, and the long term benefits just keep on giving for decades to come.

  • Talk is cheap. Don't tell me you are going to be bi-partisan....do it. Don't tell me you are going to 'fix' the economy...do it. You are going to be judged by your actions, not your lip service. So shut the hell up and get to work.

  • Oh snap potholes are what's hurting America not an incompetent greedy government or an apathetic tv educated population. No it's the potholes (at least the terrorists made more sense..)

  • safety first he didn't hear that 4 sure cuz he going to get a ban on guns so innocent people can die

  • the first girl dosent even look at the camera hahaha

  • please add captions for this video thank you.

  • Companies that could offer employees a health care plan should receive some incentives. For those who are not covered by their employers they should be covered by the government and be charged a health care tax on their income tax. A percentage according to their income. There should also be a medication tax per family income This taxes will go the health care fund.

Education and health care should be offered to everybody without having to go bankrupt. They are basic principles.

  • This is propaganda.

  • Okay, I get it already. The economy's tanking and it's epic. I voted for Obama - but the doomsday reports aren't making it better. Small business will pull us out of the morass. And small biz needs a few "signs of land." I appreciate the honesty lacking from the Bush administration but couple it with signs of land a little bit that small biz owners out there are prospering despite the economy. Balance. I talk with people like this weekly. I'm sure Obama's team can find a few if they look.

  • spend spend!!!

8.8 TRILLION dollar national deficit, health care about to take up our GDP, baby boomers, war in iraq, china losing interest in our bonds (buying our debt), college being so frigging expensive (im a student at Rutgers University, I'm paying $11,210 for my college education a year), the list goes on.

I hope we make the right decisions, I hope the Bush administration has to take more blame for some of our current situation (not all of this was their fault).

  • handbook for our future: the grapes of wrath

  • Just keep your foolish ignorant noses out of the economy. Hitler's answer to economic collapse was socialism too.

  • The government is, by definition, non-competitive and my experience is that government agencies become bloated with underachievers who are unmotivated to excel because government is simply not organized to reward such efforts. Can you name a single government agency that is the model for quality, innovation and efficiency? Of course not! Yet we are nationalizing major corporations and putting the same people that caused the mess in charge.

  • Is this a joke?

Lets have a real War on Waste and scrap the "The American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan"

  • It's so hard to pay attention when you're saying NOTHING.

  • This all sounds great but I want to see the details. Let's start with the list of programs that are a waste of money but mandated for the benefit of someone in congress. Name names and programs that should be cancelled.

  • the world will be better..trust me********

  • It's time all Americans realize what the priorities are, roll up their sleeves, tighten their beltsand go to work.

The President's job that has ben increased by immensely more than at hand during the election campaign. He has organized well, creating transparanty in spending, and has good instincts for the future of the USA. Dumping non productive departments of the Federal Gov, like the 30 yrs. of spending $700,000,000 on Carter's watchdog dept. for improvement of gas proficiency of cars.

  • The government is borrowing all of this money from China. This is a road to ruin.

  • Enjoyed an introduction to the people who are working for us with Obama. They seem to be personable, capable, and organized to create programs which will be cost efficient. No, I'm not being compensated for this comment, but I sincerely hope there is a a pay off in the form of crisis management. Hope is what I voted for, and Obama and this team (and others) stoke my confidence in the new government. I'm really looking forward to the presidential address on next Tuesday.

  • Government can only create jobs by destroying other jobs via taxation. We can go further into debt, which will only delay our problems, but we're already so far into debt that people/countries aren't lending to us anymore. Or, we can inflate our money supply, but then we risk hyper-inflation. The $1000 tax cut is a great idea, but only if they decrease government spending with the tax cut. We could maybe save some money if Obama closed some of our 700 overseas bases, but I doubt he will.

  • Asking the government to fix a problem that the government created is like asking an arsonist to put out the fire that he started.

The government needs to just stop. It's like the friends that means well, but screws things up worse than the were. I'd go into it, but I'll probably get voted down by the Obama zombies.

  • What do you suggest they do? Just step away and say. "o.k. ... you fix it"? They are the only ones who can really do anything.

Also, calling Obama supporters "zombies" is very narrow minded and idiotic. If you have nothing constructive to say then don't expect people to react to your comment in a positive way.

  • There is a new administration in charge. The same mistakes are supposed to not be repeated. The old line of government being the problem doesn't hold any weight anymore. There will be no solution without government involvement. The problem we've had for 8 years is a government run by people that want to destroy the credibility and function of government. What about a government that might work for the people instead of the wealthy and connected?

  • It's not necessarily what the government did, but what the government didn't do.

  • well give him a chance.... its not the same gov its a new gov.

like having a friend that betrays your prob not gonna punish your new freinds the same way

no gov. is a good idea but will never happen

  • For real, whats your plan to keep families from staving and being homeless?

  • Wall street and reckless money management with only short-term, immediate satisfaction is what created this problem, not the government. Everybody knows that. John McCain talked about this over and over on the campaign trail, but you apparently weren't listening.

  • But if there is a new administration in place, wouldn't it be a new government and not the one that created the problem?

To go along with your analogy, you wouldn't ask the arsonist who set the fire how to put it out. But, assuming that it was one of the most elaborate fires in history, another arsonist might be able to use his expertise to tell the fire department how to put it out. At least that's how I would like to think of it.

  • Your libertarian, Government-off limits ideas is what caused this.

  • Blackhalo, who's going to fix it then? You and your pessimistic attitude that fits your nickname?

It's up to the government to take its steps, but most importantly it's up to us to do our part as individuals. The government can do what it does, but the real power is in the people.

  • The old guard, all in their 80's. Kissinger, Brzezinski,Volker,Scowcroft. Calling for a new world order. On the NYSE floor Kissinger said speaking of Obama, "he can give new impetus to American foreign policy ..I think that his task will be to develop an overall strategy for America in this period, when really a new world order can be created. Its a great opportunity. It isnt such a crisis."

    Are you fricking kidding me?

Of course for him and the rest of the Tri Lats it isn't a crisi.

  • I absolutely agree with nico3641, stop the importing of jobs from oversees. Hire from the many skilled here in U.S.

  • First we need to provide the qualified people to fill those jobs. And willing to take them at the salaries and benefits that foreigners are willing to accept. Why would anyone go through the trouble of hiring outside if there are qualified available people inside the country?

  • ehhh. we'll see.

  • Why isn't he going to bring Bush or the CIA or any of the 70 people in the white house complicit with allowing illegal torture on war crimes?

  • If Federal and state(s) savings bond websites are simplified, streamlined, integrated with tax agencies, and MARKETED... that can pull in lots and lots of little bits of money that are now idling in minimal-interest, fully-taxable, bank accounts & pending tax refunds.

The websites exist now; but one would have to be a highly-motivated, web-savvy, tax-accountant/tax-lawyer to make heads or tails of it/them - & there's no mention of a bond-buying option (on my tax forms, anyhow.)

    Go for it!!!

  • Yeah ObamaMan

  • k u want a person who going to get a ban on guns so we all die?

  • These advisers are sounding -very- -serious- but fixing the economy and preserving the biosphere can be fun. Humanity doesn't have to be acting as though our goal is to wipe out all animal life on earth. Environmentalism is CONSERVATIVE in the best sense: it is about preserving what we hold most dear.

It's pretty hard to improve upon the natural world, but we -can- keep it the way it is.

Is environmental decline inevitable? Of COURSE not! If we're honest with ourselves.

  • We can only move forward. We can't move back and we can't stand still. I don't know if his plans are perfect but I'm ready for him to try something new and with that risk, see what happens!

  • Agreed.

I cannot wait to see what Obama will do for this country. I don't know if he'll be the perfect president, but I know he'll do his best! :D

  • Assure that all products we use in this rebuilding process are "Made in the USA". This will assure that individuals at all skill levels are given an equal opportunity.

  • Because that won't increase costs and delay our recovery any longer (note: sarcasm). If you want to give people equal opportunities to compete for jobs, get rid of the minimal wage laws, but it sounds like you don't like competition.

  • Obama should open a bank with the 350 bil and give me a line of credit.

  • Obama is the man!

  • A friend of mine who inspects bridges has been telling me for years that our bridges are in a disaster condition and ready to collapse.

  • $1000?? is this what he promised?!

  • yeah, didn't you read his economic plan when he was a candidate??

  • How can I get involved in the greening of homes.I have been in the trades for 25 years and am green to the bone.I am currently an unemployed, self employed remodeler.

  • Suggestion for creating/preserving jobs for Americans here in the U.S.: Please discontinue granting H1 Visas for the IT / Technology sector. There are plenty of American software engineers that are unemployed to fill positions. There is no need to import engineers.

  • Agreed.

I am very pro-immigrant for every level of employment, but this is an unusual time and we need to get everyone back to work before we invite more workers into our economy.

  • Go!
