It took me one minute to kill Ultima Weapon, so then I frolic to Omega Weapon with a big smile on my face thinking "I'm gonna kick Omega's ass"

Me: I get to Omega, use Meltdown and Aura, and start using Renzokuken on him

Omega: Megido Flame

Me: ...O_o *resets save file*, re-junctions abilities for all characters to have 9999 HP. I Confront Omega again. This time I survive Megido Flame, restore everyone to full. This time I think I have a chance.

Omega: Terra Break

Me: . . . WTF

I have beaten Omega too in playstation long ago... and I dont think there are any cheats here...only the stats of the characters are very well improved.Anyway I think this is only the possible tactic to beat Omega. Looks like my victory over Omega. ... Maybe because of the many versions of the game it seems different... P.S.- "It is bad luck to run into Omega Weapon???" lol

Что-то тебя он немного жалел) , как я начинал бой, он метает мгновенно терра удар , спустя некоторое время юзает "пламя медиго" , . На своих персов : я ставлю : "авто-охрана"и "авто-оболочка", вместо Квистис беру Зелла=) , его бафлю аурой и начниаю прессовать различными комбо.

PS : Люблю с ним помочиться - с омега оружием) , для этого даже ячейку сохранения пожертвовал)))

Uhh.. there's something wrong here. Omega Weapon hits for far far harder than that. You talk about avoiding "cheap" tactics but they're what you'd sometimes need to do to survive a legitimate game.

I know what the junction system is and I know that despite the fact all my characters were level 99 (since Lvl 5 Death kills you at 100), had the best weapons and were junctioned to maxed out spells via maxed out GFs that Omega Weapon hit a lot harder than on this video.

@suedescentedsin Well nothing was modded, and since I show all my stats and equipment in at the end of Part 2, it can be EASILY replicated by anyone who actually wishes to try it out instead of throwing out baseless accusations because they think the fight is different than what it is. The only thing that comes to mind is that you and whoever else thinks this isn't a legit video does not understand the game well enough to know all the tricks.

Actually, it is possible to reduce normal physical damage from Omega to less than 200 with a maxed out Vitality. Add protect to that, and the damage is cut to less than 100. It kinda sucks... but a maxed out defense stat in this game will render pretty much all the basic attacks and basic spells useless.

Ultima still does a decent amount of damage since the Spirit stats - shown in part 2 - are around 120-140, instead of 255 and 200 like the Vitality stats.

Welp I did beat it by having two supporting characters for Squall and have only Irvine use Defend for Terra Break (no invincibility items). Except I was playing at the max battle speed. DOES THAT MAKE ME LESS CHEAP.

Unlike a commenter before me it was not easy thanks to that speed.

I think Omega Weapon is susceptible to slow, because I use doomtrain instead of meltdown, and whenever I do, he hardly ever attacks me. I've managed to kill him off with him only casting LV5 Death in the entire battle.

When I cast mighty guard on all the characters(who are 9999 hp) terra break still kills them all straight away.

terra break is the only move which kills me, everything else he uses I have can manage.

@djzoneboro I think you're confusing 'defend' with 'mighty guard'. Use Cactaur and Brothers' 'defend' command, and terra break does 0 damage.

@djzoneboro Terra Break ignores your Vitality stat, which means that it does not matter whether you have a Vit of 255 or 0 when being attacked by that attack. In fact, each of the 16 hits of Terra Break does about 4100-4400 HP of damage. Protect, however, is able to halve this damage as is the Zombie status. So, if you inflict all of your characters with Zombie and Protect before Omega casts Terra Break, you will definitely be capable of surviving this attack.;)

I defeated Omega Weapon a long time ago!! But I cheated...I used Selphie's limit break "The End" I was suprised it worked! Didn't think it would. However I am playing FF8 again and this time I'm very good at the junctioning system (I was not that good at it back then,and relied too much on GF's) so now Im going to beat him (Omega) the right way this time!

I attempted this fight about a million times, and couldn't beat it. Once I somehow got 'The End' for Selphie's limit and I couldn't believe it worked on a boss fight especially this one. That's the only reason I managed to beat it.

i have a secret that is completly bullshit gcsupernova. card refine squall's card into 100 heroes. (The item that makes you invinsible. Soz if the name is wrong). You get it off that luguana guy (dream dude in the rangerok). After that its just aura and kill. you need lionheart. I recomend one ally with magic and anotther with item. thats my bull secret.

@devlin0497 yea i got it from psn (cfw versions are way too glitchy) and i defeated ultimate weapon with one lion heart (same party as you) i am just getting to this battle on disk 4 but from the ultimate weapon battle from the ps1 version to the psp it definitely seems way easier even the island closest to hell battles seemed way too easy

@YurStupidProductions It all comes down too how prepared you want to be for the final encounter. If a character dies there is a chance they will disappear and come back as another party member.... that maybe why it might be an idea to train your other characters up as well. Your character selection is good though, to help...just make sure when you get there you have Squall, a lot of auras and his lion heart ability... it makes the final encounter a whole lot easier!

Lv. 45 with Squall, Irvine, and Rinoa. Rinoa casts triple on self, then Squall casts meltdown. Irvine does nothing for now. Rinoa casts haste on everyone, and on next turn casts aura. Omega Weapon just used Medigo Flame. Use Renzokuken, Fast Ammo (Normal Ammo once Fast Ammo is gone), and use Angelo's Wishing Star. Omega Weapon is dead before Gravija ;)
