@beatnikmichelle I tripped acid, saw them live, then i roamed around the corner for 3 hours after and MET HIM, DOTTIE, AND NINA! I told him how much i loved his songwrites and he was like *hug* !!!!
@beatnikmichelle oh for definitely! such a great time. they played devil went down to georgia on their encore, as we were in Atlanta. They dropped skits and jokes in randomly in the set, and there were other people on stage doing thiings like boxing, or dancing naked, or spinning like butterflies. oooh plus, i didnt realize at the time but i met Nickee Coco. You know, from the song?
Heh, I met him after a show along with Bryan, Ahmed and James... I pretty much just told him that I loved him and apologized for my awkward behavior (prancing around and saying "Oh my god it's Kevin Barnes!!" to all of my friends... He said it was okay and I walked away... I blew it! but I did get a photograph with him :) not as interesting an interaction as I hoped, but it was my fault :C
haha that made me laugh, such sheer joy in prancing hah. that's too cool you got a pic with him though congrats!! myy goodness :) were you waiting around the venue for a long time until you saw him?
Actually I went to the merch table and bought a hoodie and a scarf and I went back to the stage hoping for a set list and Kevin was just standing about, so I didn't really wait at all... there were about 75ish people around by that time... I think they just wanted to meet some of their fans and make their night even better :)
Great story. I'm sure he understood. haha. Im seeing them in the shepherds bush empire in July. If I meet him il probably be the same because he is my musical hero.
Yeah, I'm glad I'm not the only one :) I'm really excited cause I'm going to see them again in August and the two-day pass for the music festival was only $16.00!!
Too bad it's probably going to be 100+° (Summer Fest is in Houston TX) I'm not looking forward to the heat... by the way that's an awesome username.
