in order to be fair to this great composer, we should all take into consideration that this is a live performance, whereas the much better performances of this piece out there were recorded in ideal environments...brilliantly conceived piece!

This is the second performance I heard of Domeniconi's master piece played by the composer himself, and I think he is a great composer but definitely a bad guitar player.

Your understanding of what a good performance happens to be fails to understand the relationship between a composer and the music they create. (1) This is a live performance and (2) it is an open interpretation of music that does not suffer from strict adherence to the written notes.

My ranking:

Technicality: 7/10 <--where some have confused musicality with perfection

Artistically: 10/10
