kamp is something you can't just explain to people.... it's an experience! I've been going for 6 years to k-kountry, k-west, and now k-2. I can't even put into words the incredible impact it's had on my life. I want to be a counselor when I'm in college and wouldn't miss kamp for the world!
my grandpa went there 50 years ago when native americans were mainly the counselors but all the campers were white lol. They taught the ways of tribes and about the earth and stuff. But I went there twice for 2 weeks. I was a counselor for Camp Takatoka YMCA This summer too.
Wow this is K1 for sure, brings back good memorys. k1 was so much fun. got at least 4 years there, always went 3rd term. same with k2 god i loved this place. so much.
@maxxis202 never know til you try...kanakuk is a surprising and amazing place. I say go for intern if you want to. If you feel like it's too late, why not try for a staff position. I'm just a former counselor trying to encourage you to be all that you can be.
