we have the skoda superb combi with ametheist paint and it looks very well, and it sounds well too, with the 1.8 tsi with 168 bhp its quite strong too. when we have the boat trailer attached to the car it drives like there is almost nothing behind the car really awesome and at the traffic lights we are faster then someone with a normal engine we always win thanks to the belt driven low rounds compressor from the Tsi it has all its power at 1300 rpm! unbelievable,

the thing is that noone really needs parking assistance in such a huge gap - when it comes to tight ones is where the skill comes in but i have a feeling the system won't attempt any of those

the park assist is good idea but, as a mechanic i can see alot of problems by turning the wheel when the car is stationary occuring in later life of the car, and infact see insurance claims saying "the car didnt park for me"

@bg1379  I think it is extremely convenient. Very useful having the twin door. You can get a bulky object through the boot oppening.

This really is a good car. If you get the 2.0 170 bhp common-rail diesel "Elegance" model in the very dark burgundy red with light beige interior, you will really have an outstanding car.

@desertrat2 Recently this car won many more awards in the UK. I buy the very popular motoring magazine. Skoda did unbelievably well. That magazine crowned the Superb "The best family car", The Superb Estate "The best Estate car", The skoda Yeti " The best Crossover Car" and the Yeti is their "Car of the year". Skoda was the first ever manufacturer to win five trophies at their awards.

For one if you are driving other people regulary(to work etc) you don't want a heavy hatchback, they tend to "forget" and drop the back making horrible bang. Don't tell them its a hatchback, problem solved.
