turkishk - secular? really? what does the true leader of Turkey - Fethullah Gulen (fetosh) think of that? He controls everything education, media, policitcs, military and police. We will see what happens at the September 12th election and the ban on headscarfs.  Gulen and the Gulen Movement are very religious and want the country of Turkey to become a full fledge Islamic State. Once a Christian country that population has fled and there are barely 30 functioning churches.

Ataturk, also had a problem with being gay! he was a very complicated man - but certainly no worse and definately no better than other leaders. I don't wish to give my money any more and travel to Turkey, I was based there in the military. Couldn't even find a decent church to worship at because Turkey is anti-Christian, Anti-American and obviously anti-Semantic. Although we were banned from watching it - I did enjoy "Valley of the Wolves". Turkey tries to always forget their dark past.
