@DEMCAD New York state. Population of city was 31,000 until the 90's now it's roughly 16,000. The city took over the outlying towns/hamlets and dubbed them "town of Gloversville". Which beefed up the population numbers a little but the city itself is dying. Many parts have been torn down and all but a handful of the industry still remains.

Reginald, you covered many interesting topics today. About the ATF... they were originally founded (under a different name) to collect taxes on whiskey. Around 50 years ago their duties expanded to also enforce stricter gun laws.... of course, on us, the citizens of the US to which these laws apply. So, they are mandated to collect alcohol taxes (from US citizens) and enforce stricter gun laws (also upon US citizens).[continued]

Mississippi is an anomaly, whereas, almost liberal urban bastion in the union has experienced a exodus. It's not a big surprise for him, he wants a recount so that he can pad the numbers. My block alone has lost 3 houses in the last thirty years and two of them came in the last 3 years or so.
All it would take is ordinance enforcement to keep a rolling knowledge of a police presence all the while generating funds for the police force and city. @DEMCAD New York state. Population of city was 31,000 until the 90's now it's roughly 16,000. The city took over the outlying towns/hamlets and dubbed them "town of Gloversville". Which beefed up the population numbers a little but the city itself is dying. Many parts have been torn down and all but a handful of the industry still remains.
Data I have found is mixed...but to live here all your life you see the difference. Most charts I've seen mark pop decline vs state pop decline.
