The first Megami Tensei game I've ever played was Persona 4. That being said, I've looked into the past of Megami Tensei and I've found that the concepts and ideals of these games are largely questioned. I'm a Christian and I'm not offended in the slightest. To all my fellow Christians that ARE offended.....you're not doing a very good job of upholding your faith. God is unlimited and cannot be contained. He can't be portrayed accurately in a game or ANYWHERE on ANYTHING. Stifle your ignorance.
SMT shows everything from many points of view. Is god a being of good or a heartless tyrant? Is Lucifer the enemy or a noble rebel? Is heavan paradise or is it a tolitarian regime? Is Hell a terrible place or a exodus of complete freedom?
Questions that closed minded people never would be willing to answer. If one accepts that god is omipresent, then he already knew what would happen: Why? Is he truly good then? Is he Evil then? At this point, I do not know.

@SuperPandas He is mentioned a few times subliminally - namely the Jesus armor in Shin Megami Tensei. There's also a few characters that resemble Jesus throughout the sequels. Jesus is a part of God anyway so even if he is not mentioned it makes little difference

Nextly, Lucifer was the first son of YHVH, the first of what we call Angels. Jesus, in Christian theology, is the second son of YHVH. Being that Lucifer was YHVH's first "mistake" in that his free will allowed Lucifer to challenge YHVH for the throne of heaven, Jesus was created as a part of YHVH which kept him from acting against YHVH.

I like how you named your main characters as Akira and Miki. What I like about SMT is how God is a boss in many of the games. It's almost like Matt Stone and Trey Parker wrote the storylines---but they didn't.
About a week ago I watched all the DDS1 & DDS2 cutsceans* and the final boss of DDS2 is the closest I have seen to what I was thinking because you are not actually able to kill it, you just change its mind, Forcefully LOL.
It Can't Be God because you kill him in the game, The Real God would Have Maxed all stats, and spam a non-blockable megido style attack that breaks the games damage limit many times over. Until Atlus makes a Christian God character like that I will never see anything they make as the true God . If they happen to make a character in those parameters I will say "Thank You Atlus, I was unable to beat your but I was happy I got to meat God" LOL

From what I heard, beating YHWH in ShinMegaTen2 is worse than losing to him because he condemns you to an eternity of unbearable pain. So, if someone can, it's not a human, that's for sure.
