Yep it was an SRT8 Jeep BUT it wasn't a production model. This was actually one of the test mules from inside Chrysler. They guys that appear in the video are a couple of the actual engineers that helped design it.
Ops. I didn't realize I was signed in under my TrackGeeks account..
That was a fun week to chase the One Lap. The SRT guys are really down to earth and cool to talk to. That was one bad jeep. The next thing they brought out to the One Lap was a Challenger. Wrecked it at the first event.. Major OUCH.. I've got the in-car video from that. I'm not allowed to publish it though.
Yea, those instructions are for the factory modified vehicle you see in the video. Its NOT a production version as incorrectly noted above. That jeep had carbon fiber doors and a LOT of other things not found on the production vehicle.
The short answer is you can't. The jeep in the video was a special factory modified vehicle that allowed the transfercase to be put in neutral. That feature is not in the production vehicle.
If you click the link under the video above you can see the burnout itself. This video was a responce to that one.
supposedly you still can, one company makes a switch to disengage the tc. The guy in this video has a production version also... from what I know you go in to first gear, turn the wheel all the way the left, all the way to the right, back to center, then you can do a first gear burnout.
Actually, you can do a RWD burn out with an AWD vehicle. All you need is to remove the front driveshaft, AND most importantly you need to have a center diff lock(a locked transfer case).
@CantFaze Actually dude there is a way to do it. All you have to do is go in the fuse box and pull the fuse for the traction control and the fuse for the front wheels. That should leave you with no traction and real wheel drive. But I suggest you dont drive like that for long because it could fuck up your tranny.
i got the same floor jack. JUNK

SRT8 Jeep? You sure? To my knowledge they have the exhaust in the middle of the back bumper, not on the side..
