  • Mike I love your website. of all the options out there for alternatives to our dependancy on fossil fuels, steam, in my opinion is the most viable. your ideas of corn and relationship to gas prices?-how practical is it really for common folk to produce their own ethanol? oil comps have started to buy farms in order to monopolize corn availability, under the guise of using it as green fuel solutions. This limits you and i from making ethanol. they(oil comps) are devious smart and evil.

  • which are input parameters for water vapor pressure, temperature and amount of steam in one second, and what the power output shaft to HP or kW at RPM. It is clear that I want to know the effective degree of efficiency of the engine (Work / Qin)

P.S. I am very interested to purchase this machine...

  • @mata1802990 I'm unclear as to what you're asking. Suggest you learn the basics first and then ask your questions. Mike

  • @dlaw70 @mata1802990 he is using engineering/ thermodynamic language something you didn't pick up on Mike?

  • what type of boiler do you use, a coal fired one ect

  • @boltjet135 Mostly wood fired. Mike

  • @dlaw70 awesome keep it up mike

  • Do you have a video of one running on steam?

  • @KenMacMillan Not at the moment. We should have a video of our entire system running on steam (generator, boiler, etc.) within a month or two. Mike

  • Hell it works!

  • I have a more modern valve train pattern I would willingly send you,

It would grately improve the power out put and rpm cappability of your powerplant.

If your willing to hear me out on it?

  • @FireDropTechnologies Only if you have a working model. We get three to five emails like yours a week.

  • nice machine work

  • Thanks. Mike

  • do you have autocad plans to replicate it

  • We do, but that's proprietary information.

  • Is this a closed circuit engine? Or does the steam / compressed air just poof out?

  • It's whatever you want it to be. It can be either a condensing or non-condensing engine depending on how you set up the system. Mike

  • Be nice to hear it...never heard of a digital camera with video and no sound...maybe this is running on compressed air?

  • This steam engine is running on compressed air. Try a looking at a Fuji FinePix A303 Digital Camera. It comes with a movie mode (silent only, no sound).

  • How heavy is the engine? What are its dimensions? Would this be a practical engine to be used to power a vehicle?

  • Engine weighs 123 lbs. Can't give you exact dimensions off the top of my head, would have to measure it. We intend to install it in a vehicle, waiting on completion of our liquid fuel boiler. Would suggest you learn the basics before you try a vehicle installation.

  • sound?

  • Sorry, we used a digital camera that has no sound feature.

  • @Volga2402 For sound see the other video: "Mike Brown Steam Engines"

  • Would this engine be practical for use with a solar system using a fresnel lense array and perhaps molten salt heat stroage batteries? I was considering a Northern Tools 10000 watt generator head.

  • @lutherheggs lol put the bong down

  • looks like a V modified stanley car engine?

  • It isn't. Stanley used a D-valve. Mike

  • Sound???

  • Sorry. The camera used has no sound.

  • I was thinking about a steam generator to run for the winter heating season.I was just wondering how loud the steam engines were so I could determine the best location.

  • The only noise steam engines make when running on steam (as opposed to compressed air as in this case) is the sound of the mechanical parts, hard to hear from 30 feet away. Mike

  • at that speed does it probuce the rumored 20hp at 214.7psi?

  • No. The speed in the video is idle speed, it's designed to run at 600 rpm. Mike

  • ok so at the 600rpm it will produce 20hp assuming youve gotten the psi up? i get 200psig from another website and 200psi=214.7psig so assuming you keep it at the level you can produce the horses and then put em to good use.

  • It produces 20 hp at 600 rpm and 200 psi (you read the gauge on the boiler). What you read on another website is irrelevant to us. Mike

  • ok i c. well ylou own it so ide guess ur right

  • It produces 20 hp at 600 rpm and 200 psi (you read the gauge on the boiler). What you read on another website is irrelevant to us. Mike
