And I would love to have the old video design back from 2007 where even your avatar showed next to the video, and when the subscribe button was yellow. I miss that. They may not give us back the old video design but they should at least give is back the ability to reopen accounts. It doesn't make sense why they would take that away

I lost my youtube account thanks to freaking google. My youtube account was linked to the wrong google account, I deleted that account & my youtube account was automatically closed! I didn't know google had linked those 2 accounts!! I lost my yt channel, my videos, views, subscribers (and I had LOTS of views, like more than a million) =(

This happened a few days after the 'reopening your account' form was retired. I'm so lucky.

I closed down my old account yesterday because it got two infractions on it within 3 hours, probably because I got into too many arguments with trolls that have made extremely offensive comments, but I wanted to preserve the comments I made on other channels and videos in case I was at risk of getting banned. If I tried to reopen it in six months, would the infractions I got yesterday have expired, so that I can have a true second chance with that account? Someone please get back to me on this.
