You would think predators like dogs would be ATTRACTED to blood, not repelled. Y'know, since they eat meat and stuff.

Also, this is actually a very bad practise and you should never make these lizards squirt blood. Many end up with eye infections and all end up with very low hydration. Remember, these guys live in the middle of the fucking desert. Moisture is precious to them. And you're making them waste it by having them squirt blood all over you.

@tw1stedgrudge I've been 'squirted' by a horned toad before (wasn't egging it on, more of a dumb/curious little kid mistake, seeing as they're everywhere on my parent's property along with gila monsters, skinks, and diamondbacks). What people don't tell you is that the blood stinks unimaginably. It also seemed to be aiming for my eyes (with decent success). I would think a curious dog would have the same reaction I did, momentary confusion and repulsion, giving it ample time to disappear.

@Razorbak4732 i have one and his name is mr. whiggles because he will wiggle his tail when he eats/drinks.....AND listens to A7X, disturbed, and other stuff but i havent been able to get him to squirt blood yet he's too chill
